Here is what is happening:

1. I go to Atlanta on November 20th and 21st (Shauna's surgery time) to meet with the surgeon, Dr. Dennis Smith.

2. At the same time, I attend a support group there.

3.  Also at the same trip, I see the nutritionist.

4.  I already had all my labwork done.

I'm trying to set up an appointment for a psych eval--either in Atlanta or here.

Yes, I'm going to do this!  My Christmas wish is to be able to get rid of all my summer clothes next year because I won't fit into them (in a good way!)

Thanks Barb.  You're telling me.  It's getting to be a struggle to walk and exercise... can't wait to be able to get around better,

Nancy,  I am so happy for you!  I honestly feel that once you are on the other side of WLS, you will be so thankful that you had it done.

You know how I was trying to get some weight off before my surgery on my own?  Well guess what?  Today I weighed in for the start of my 10-day pre-op diet and...I am right back to the EXACT same weight as when I joined OH.com and began looking into WLS!  I seriously had to lol on that one.  Of all things to make me realize I CANNOT do this on my own and I NEED this surgical intervention!  :)

I recently packed up all of my summer clothes.  Hubby had gotten down the boxes for me and as I was folding them neatly to put away, I gasped and looked at him and exclaimed, "I won't ever wear these again!"  I'm right there with you on that note!  ;)

Well I don't want you to imagine that I "beat" you in that race.  I too, did not lose any weight!  We need  SUPER HELP!  which it looks like you'll get next week!

take the best care of yourself you can!  AVOID STRESS!  Do not answer any phone calls that could be .... annoying... or trouble.  MAMA SAYS!!!

Thanks for your honest confession.  lol  Oh man, yes, we do need help.  I, for one, am so glad I've finally admitted, accepted, and embraced that fact!

I'm happy to report I have not had one phone call of a stressing nature.  When she said she was done with me, I guess she meant it.  And for now, I'm done too.  Time for ME, cause, like you, I'm the mama also!  lol

I am happy for you! Its just a shame you can't get it done closer to home but nevertheless you are getting started. I think I have to pack up all of my warm weather clothes too cause they are already big on me now and its getting too cold to wear them LOL! Its just that my closet and drawers will seem so empty! Right now I am buying only a few things in my current size and washing frequently to keep up. Not the worse problem to have.

Yes, it's going to be a lot of trouble with the doctor being so far away.  But I am have a duodenal switch, not a RNY, and this doctor has done more than anybody within a 500 mile radius.

Thanks for your good wishes,

Nancy
