Hi, everyone!

Well - the time is drawing near! I don't know where this week went. It was a busy one, for sure - appt with Hematologist on Mon, all liquids started on Tues, and pre-surgical appt today.

This morning at work seemed to zip by - all of a sudden I looked up and it was 12:30 pm - time to leave and head over for my pre-surgical appt. at CMC Mercy! I was totally calm and as I sit here now, I'm ready ... I truly believe I'm ready ... ready for a new start, ready for a new life, ready to "git 'er done!"

I'm staying busy - have plans this weekend and next. Mom & Dad will be here on Fri, 11/14 (from FL) and will help to take care of the Collies and Mimi & Spike (mama kitty and 3 mo old kitten - rescues from my vet's office). I have picked up everything on the "pantry list", have plenty of protein and all vitamin supplements. And, I've even prepared my small bag of personal items to take to the hospital and will put the laptop in the car (and a note on the dash) so that Dad remembers to bring it in once I'm in my room) - will just need to grab my CPAP and pillow at o'dark thirty on 11/18. I'm the first surgery for Dr. G that day ... and, for that, I'm grateful ...

Save me a seat ... I can't wait to join the team and be on the bench!

Good luck, Lori! Please let me know if you need anything. I was at a "Moms' Hip Hop" class last night in Waxhaw (off of Gray Byrum Rd.), so I'm becoming more familiar with that part of the county :) and can help out if you need help.

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!
