My surgery is first that day!
Today's pre-op appointment went so well. I was giddy happy the entire day! I can't tell you how happy I was to learn my surgery is scheduled FIRST on the 21st! I am supposed to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m. so that means we will have to leave the house at 4:15 a.m. I'm the type that NEVER sleeps the night before something exciting so do you think I will be able to sleep a wink that night?! lol I think not! The nurse said I should be in surgery by 7-7:30 a.m. It was so neat to hear how that day would go step-by-step. I'll probably relive it in my mind's eye a hundred times between now and then! I start my pre-op liquid diet on Tuesday.
(If anyone wants to hear a detailed account of what happened today and what I came home with, I'd be glad to share! I know sometimes it helps to know what to expect while you are waiting...I'm going through Hickory Surgical/Frye Hospital.)

I've got your seat on the loser's bench all polished up and ready for you!

Congrats on your appt time! I was first also and I was glad not to have to deal with the other patients backing up my checkin, or someone else's surgery running over. It was also nice that I didn't have to sit home half the day worrying, I think I would have drove myself crazy. Another thing is the surgeon is refreshed from a nite of sleep (hopefully), lol. Hang in there,,,,it's almost your rebirthday!
