Blood sugar and venting
Well I just checked my blood sugar and it's 63 and I'm shaking and I really don't know what to eat because I don't want to have any dumping from to much sugar. It's 10:30pm and I guess the hard workout I did earlier is kicking in.
It's now 2 hrs later and OMG I'm so sick, eating wasn't the answer to bring my sugar up and I got that same pain in my pouch again and have vomited at least 4 times and my blood sugar is 88 and hope it doesn't go back down. I waited awhile and tried to take a sip of orange juice and other liquids but nothing will stay down.
I'm going to get a B-12 shot tomorrow at the doctor's office so I'm going to tell them that something is wrong with me, still having trouble eating and drinking since they stretched my pouch last week. I knew this was going to be a major change for me but I didn't realize the pain and not knowing what is going to stay down and what want, but this really is getting to me and I'm praying that this will all change for the good soon.
I can't even take my sleeping pill so don't know if I'm going to be getting any sleep tonight.

Protein and complex carbs are your friends.
The first instinct is to have some sugar, but if you have reactive hypoglycemia, it will just throw you for another loop.
So yogurt, cheese, PB are all good.. but they take longer to hit. If you want it to stop very quickly, do have some simple sugar (juice, candy), but IMMEDIATELY follow it up with some protein or you'll get into trouble again.

Oh yes this is such a fun side effect. I also have been having low sugar. You can buy over the counter glucose taplet. They are large and like sweet tarts but not sour. It hits you anywhere. SOmetimes it causes my face or hands to feel numb. I get to feeling dizzy, mentally confused and just like **** My Surgin says at least 5 small meals. Peanut butter helps raise it and keep it up some. I just don't follow the rules most times. It's hard to get 5 small meals when you work. My hubby had to help me out of the yard the other day cause I got so numb and faint. Needless to say I am going to a diabetis doct in a few weeks. I believe I am having gullblader issues on top of it. Some days I wonder what I have done to myself.

Sorry to hear you have this problem as well and hope you the diabetic doctor can help. This is the first time my sugar has dropped since surgery and it's been 35 days but they had been getting better. My doctor told me I couldn't take the glucose tablets because of the sugar but I'm going to mention it to them again, because eating wasn't the answer last night. I'm with you I can't hardly get any food in and I don't think I could do 5 small meals.
