Looking for PCP in Charlotte

I currently have a PCP, but she did not support my decision to have RNY. I am now looking for someone who has experience with RNY patients. Any recommendations?

If you don't mind traveling either to Harrisburg or Concord, I can recommend 2 fantastic physicians, both very experienced in taking care of bariatric patients. One is Ronald Pollack in Harrisburg (my PCP), and the other is Douglas Kelling in Concord. If I did not already have Dr. Pollack as my personal physician, I would have chosen Dr. Kelling to follow me through this surgery and beyond. He is probably the smartest physician I have ever met. As a nurse, he is not my favorite person to work with, but he is very talented and knows what it takes to prep and take care of a bariatric patient. I have been a patient of Dr. Pollack's for years, and he even delivered one of my children and a niece & nephew of mine ... so I'm biased! But Dr. Kelling's knowledge cannot be beat as far as internal medicine goes.

Ive been going to DrCharlotte Karriker for 6 years, my friend went thru her for her surgery and I did as well for mine. She was very supportive as long as you are serious and truly have done/tried everything.

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)

I sent Michelle to Dr. Berman and she loves him too. Not only did he support my RNY he supported me going to MEXICO, does all my tests follow up etc. He has a PA that works for him that's Mother had RNY too.His office staff is great and they are all about patient care and you never , ever wait for an appointment. He is all about the patient and even told me one day if he won that lottery , he would still practice medicine because it's his life. Can't do better then that.
