From my point of view and to answer your question the answer I will give you is yes you will be able to eat again but probally not the way you have for many years.
Eatting after wls is trial and error what may work this week and weeks to come may not work in a month or two.
Yes it is frustrating but eventually you learn to accept your new way of eatting.
The benefits will out weigh the frustration of not eatting like we used too.

Hi Cindy,
The short answer is a resounding YES. The long answer is that this is going to take time. Remember that you are a bit behind the curve. Even though it's been more than a month, you've had a bumpy start and had to have stricture addressed. This more than likely means that you might be dealing with more residual swelling than might have otherwise. Eventually the swelling will abate as you heal, but it's going to take some more time. One of the reasons that we tend to have issues with foamies, etc... is that our little pouches are swollen early on. This swelling tends to make it difficult to manage much volume at all. But the good news is that this too shall pass. The other issue is that you've had your gut totally rearranged and it has to learn a whole new way to operate. Just think of it as trying to learn a complicated new dance routine. At first you might get some of it sometimes and forget sometimes and step on your partners toes. Well, your new tummy and related parts are trying to learn the new two-step, but it will take a while. Soooo, be gentle with yourself and go easy. Your half piece of CA roll and two dragon rolls, to be honest were probably a bit too much. Go much more slowly. Give yourself time to recognize being satisfied... not full, just satisfied, because it's just another bite or two, until you will tilt into "OH NO!!! I shouldn't have had that extra bite!" That extra bite, being too full. In time you will learn to read your body better and your body will learn the dance steps better. Soon you'll be doing the waltz, Texas two-step, Jive, Shag and soooo much more with out difficulty or feeling sick or overful.
Hang in there. It will get better.

I still can't do 90% fruits and veggies.. and if they are raw, I really can't for most of them.
But yesterday at the meatup, I had a club sandwich (yes, with the bread for part of it), and a cup of chicken tortilla soup. Pretty "normal" and that soup was *good*.
Be patient.. it takes time.
