Someone posted a website for the Torani sugar free syrups that was on sale and I bought some.  I bought peanut butter, caramel, and mango.  They arrived today and now I am faced with the question - What do I do with them???
I am looking for recipes and any suggestions.  I thought about using the peanut butter one in my chocolate protein drink instead of using reduced fat peanut butter because it will be less calories.

So what do you think??

Hi Sheila,
I buy Davinci SF syrups and use them in my protein shakes to change up the taste and also in my iced coffees and smoothies that I love

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

I use DaVinci Syrups ... I just prefer them, but they function the same way... I use mine to flavor my coffee or sugar free hot cocoa. You can also use them if you make protien shakes. I've tried them with baked apples ... vanilla and caramel ... mmmmm. I like the recipe for Caramel Mocha Mouse ... I've adjusted it a bit, but it's great! Here's the link http://www.davincigourmet.com/recipes/recipe_details/?recipe ID=2821 and I LOVE pumpkin anything and these pumpkin bars at just 65 calories are FABULOUS! http://www.davincigourmet.com/recipes/recipe_details/?recipe ID=3066

There are plenty more ideas, just check the websites for DaVinci and Torani. I often make some minor adjustments to up the protien quotient on the recipes.

Have fun!

Barb

Some good ideas to check out the websites for the syrups.  I never thought about that !  Duh....

I have added the peanut butter to my low carb Slim Fast and it is good.  Not sure how much to use because I am afraid it will be strong, so I am thinking a little bit and then adjust. as needed.

Thanks for the responses.

she has a zillion recipies.

Keep in mind that pnut butter is a good fat... you should aim to get the majority of your fats from natural sources instead of animal so you may want to keep the pnut butter in there. You dont want to get your fat too low since your body needs a minimum amount (especially hair/nails!!)

I use Shelly's site a lot but can't remember a lot about using the sugar free syrups - probably because I didn't have any at the time !
I love peanut butter and it is one of the things that I have to hide from myself or just don't buy it.  But you are right about needing some fat in our food plan.  That is why I really like the daily plate tracking because it will show how your carbs, fat, and proteins in a pie-shape each time you enter your food.

Thanks, Jennifer
