I had my surgery on 10-22-08 and today (for about 5 mins) I felt very "light headed", began to sweat, and felt like I wanted to faint.  I do not have any blood pressure or diabetes issues.  Has anyone experienced this before?  I am still on my liquid diet.

First off congrats on your surgery. It is an amazing tool I have had those feelings since I had my surgery. Not to scare you but I am 8 months out and I still get light headed and have to grab onto the wall to keep from falling. The doctor has checked my blood pressure and it is always fine. Some people say that dehydration can cause it too but I drink like 6 bottles of water a day on top of my protein drinks so I dont know . But I wanted to let you know you're not alone I get it too. Good luck

Welcome to the Loser's bench! It is not unusual early on to feel a bit light headed because you've just had major surgery. Be sure that you are getting plenty of fluids and protien. If you experience this again, I would call and speak with my Dr. just to get a medical opinion and advice.

Wishing you every success in your journey.

All the best,

Barb
