OK, so I was in WalMart the other day, and started thinking about getting some jeans just to be ready in case I "outgrew" the 18Ws I have...bought a pair of straight 18 Lee jeans.  Got them home, they looked so small, I wasn't gonna try them on, but curiosity got the best of me....and.....they FIT!!! OMG!  Now, I wouldn't wear them in public yet, but I got them buttoned and zipped without having to lie down!!! Major muffin top and muffin "back", but still...what a happy moment!  My first item of "normal" clothing I've been able to get into!  Just had to share!

I have been in big clothes for so long I wasn't aware that there is 18 as well as 18W. My size 18W are getting too big now and I still have no clue how to shop for the best size for me right now LOL! Congrats on getting to wear the smaller size.

Thanks, everybody!
An 18W is technically a "women's" size, while 18 is a "misses" size.  From my experience, an 18w is more or less equivalent to a misses size 20.  Not much difference, but it was a thrill anyhow!

Lisa,

Welcome to the wonderful world of Misses clothing. It won't be long until you are unable to wear those pants in public ... but, it will be because they'll be falling off and you won't want to cited for indecent exposure as they slide off your cute little tail!

Enjoy them while they last!

Awwww....*blushing*  thanks, Barb!  I don't believe I've ever heard the words "cute" and "little" used to refer to my "tail" before, ever! LOL!  You are too sweet!  And indecent exposure wouldn't be a good thing, since I'm a district court judge and put people in jail for that kind of thing, LOL!  Thanks for your kind words of encouragement!

Hey Lisa:

That is wonderful.  I agree the 18W is about a size bigger than a misses 18.  I also just got a size 18 Levis and while they were snug at first (iwon't wear tight clothes) I washed them and line dried them.  Then i put them on for an hour while i sat and they are very comfortable now and don't look tight.

Love, Pam

Band to DS

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!
