Surgeon review

Well guys i finally made it to Surgeon review. Anyone who had RNY at Duke? if so how long was sugery review? Thanks, Ken

Hi Ken, I had RNY at Duke on January 10, 2008 and surgery review review for me lasted 3 weeks.  Keep in mind that I think the hold up was that they had to wait for my final sleep study.  Good Luck!

Thanks Marie,      Mine should be quick and painless. I didn't have to do any sleep test. All the testing is done. So maybe they can quickly do mine. Thanks, Ken P.s. How have you been since the surgery?

I was in  Surgeon Review for about 1 week....I know that everyone is different . I  hope  that yours will go by fast for you. As long as you had all the test done and everything is in order...you will be in and out before you know it

Good Morning,  Yes I had Dr Portiner as mu surgeron...I'm doing great right now. I did have a few minor problems....like dehydration but I went back to the hospital and I was back on track. I will be a year post-op in a few short weeks.  And as of thsi morning my weight was 190 the morning of my surgery I was about 333. I no longer have diabetes, high blood pressure and the rest of my medical problems. As a matter of fact I ran into DR P. while I was at work . ( I work at Durham Regional).. Dr. P to me is the BEST....and I know that you are in GREAT hands. Keep me posted on how you are doing. And send me a email so I can come visit you in the hospital.
