Nervous Newbie :)
Hi everyone! My name is Jami, I dont really have my profile up and going yet, but I have been a member of OH for a few months now. Ive really enjoyed reading the message boards and and all of the wonderful success stories, but i decided it was time to quit "lurking' and introduce myself...LOL
I have been going thru all the pre-op testing for gastric bypass and TOMORROW is my decision visit with my surgeon and let me tell ya i am nervous as Poo!! LOL Is that normal?? My main thing i guess is i was told not to gain any weight whatsoever from the first consult to this one..well i have maintained even thru the holidays and am down 2 lbs. but i am nervous that tomorrow may be my day to retain water or bloat or something ridiculous like that...LOL And they are going to tell me "oh youve gained 6ozs. you can't have the surgery, sorry honey!" LOL That would be my luck!!
But I have been walking and I am about 3 months without my Mt. Dew so i figure somethings gotta give :) But anyways from what ive read everyone seems to be so nice and helpful and I think I am getting into the part of my journey where i really could use some pep and support!!

Thanks so much for your replies ladies :) I will definately report back tomorrow with hopefully a "Good To Go" report along with the process moving to insurance approval!! This process really seems like it is taking forever!!! But decision day is FINALLY here!! YAY!! I think Im gonna go for a walk and release some jitters!! Thanks again and I look forward to meeting y'all back on the message boards!
Hi Jami, welcome to the NC Board! Being nervous about tomorrow is absolutely normal; you're about to make probably one of the biggest decisions of your life. This surgery is a major step towards a healthier and better Jami! You have picked a great surgeon (and team) and as you get closer, you'll have lots of questions and concerns; that's so normal. Feel free to pop in anything and ask for help.
Dr. Chapman is my doc but I saw Dr. Pender in the hospital. He has a great reputation. Their team is super and very helpful.
