center of excellence

does anyone know of any center of excellence in Greensboro,NC also can you recommed a doctor in Greensboro for lapband

I don't think there is a Center of Excellence in G'boro (could be wrong) but I do know that Dr. Kristen Hardcastle with Central Carolina Surgery near Moses Cone Hospital was the first to do lapband surgery in G'boro about 3 years ago. Her number is (336) 387-8100. She was not my doctor bec. I live in Raleigh but I have corresponded with some people that used her.

Unfortunately we dont have a center of excellence here, but CCS is in Greensboro and they do both the lapband and RNY... Its a team of about 19 surgeons I do believe but will have to call the office to see which ones do Lapband.  As previously stated their number is 336-387-8100.. They are very good and my surgeon is Dr. Newman...

hi, i went to the information seminar at  Wesley Long in  Nov. My insurance will not pay for my surgery if its not a center of excellence , CCS   is not a center of excellence  so my insurance  wont pay for me to have it done there.Thinking about  lapband surgery but undecided.Ihave about 75lbs to lose and surgery seems to be my only option,nothing else  seems to work .
