New Avatar ... Nice, but painful

I wish is was as graphically literate as you ... Go ahead and do it. I have to say it's unsettling, but it also helps us to remember where we have been and where we still want to go.

Ms. Barb, I have told you before how I just love to read most any of your posts!  I have told you that you just crack me up and make my day to see your Beautiful picture.  Well  I want to share with you what you've done now. I'm honestly sitting here with tears just flowing.  You, my lady, with just one before and after picture have shown me honest to God proof that this CAN be done.   I have a little boy that will be 4 in just 2 weeks, that the doctors told me I would never have.  When I became pregnant with him I had been on a diet for 6 months and had lost the most weight I had ever lost. (53lbs) I was 303lbs. With me being 33yrs old and 303lbs, the doctors were VERY scared.  Without the whole story, other than my little stubborn fella being breech, things were GREAT no problems at all!   Now, where I'm going with this is...  I could never get back to finding the willpower  to start dieting again and got to 380lbs!!  I DID NOT want to die and not see my little boy, my GIFT FROM GOD, grow up.  So after seeing a friend have a RNY, I decided to also.   Things are going well yes, but sometimes I still don't have the "will" to do things.  But you my friend have given me the picture "that is painful for you", and I thank you for it SO MUCH.  Because if nothing else, it has shown me that it CAN be done, WILL be done, and I can and will be around to see my little boy go to kindergarten, graduate high school, and get married one day.  For that Ms. Barb..   THANK YOU Lots of Love, CONNIE

Thank you so very much for your touching and heartfelt note. I truly appreciate it. You are right you know; you can do this and you will be so very glad that you did. I wish that I had done this when my children were younger so that I could enjoy the physical side of their childhoods ... I honestly think that they and I would have truly enjoyed that interaction, but that is water under the bridge for me.

I am so very much looking forward to hearing of your experiences as you travel your road to a healthier you.
