Finally Updating Pics

Well, I realized after spending the last 2 1/2 hours uploading & updating my photos, I really need to do this more often to become better at it!   It was a nice trip down memory lane though....after looking at and loading all these monthly update photos to my profile, I think I've finally realized that I really do look better today!   I have known for months that I "feel" terrific, have much more energy and love for life, but it was still hard for me to actually "see" a new me transforming.   I'm thankful that everyone here knows what I mean when I say that....while friends and family are so supportive, it's hard for them to understand how I don't see myself as they see me. I'm on my way to reaching my 130lb 1st weight loss goal....and I can't wait til I get there!! All the best to everyone, Julie 3/29/07 - RNY 326 / 238 / 196 / ????

WOW! You are looking just fabulous and it's great to hear that you feel wonderful as well. Your photos really show the progression.

I also had my surgery through Duke last year and like you, it has been life-changing for me.

Do you ever go to any of the support group meetings that they have at Durham Regional? I also have started some here in Raleigh. We are having a social type meetup this saturday if you are interested and available. You can find the details at http://wls.meetup.com/101.

Thank you so much for your kind comments!  Barb, I did sign up for the Raleigh area group you sent me.  I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know everyone better.   I also regularly attend the Garner area 40/42 support group meetings as well.  I love the group support - it has been a wonderful help to me through this journey.
