Denied

I was told today I am Physician denied! I'm guessing it's BCBS Doctor. I have to say I'm angry that some one who has never met me has that power. So I will fight this for sure. They don't feel my pain. Well it's Monday lol

So the surgeon told you he wouldn't do the surgery or the insurance compnay? If it was the doctor, I'd find another doctor and ask for another opinion! I'm sorry to hear of the denial and wish you good luck as you continue the process.

 I called my Doc's office and they said they will send an appeal.It just makes me so crazy. Insurance Companies have way to much control over our health care. Lynn

Good Luck - BCBS NC is fairly easy to work with so you should be good to go along as your dr's office submitted everything they require. :) Good Luck!!!!!

I am a little shocked that you were denied.  But hey.. FIGHT IT!  BCBS is usually pretty predictable with wls.  I hope you hear positive news soon.  You already have a rocking doctor who is on your side!  Don't you just love Dr. K???

Thanks everyone . I have to agree I do have a great Doc. My Daughter said I should chill out that she knows in her heart I will get my surgery. But still I'm stressing out big time. I love you people it really helps to chat with you all ! Lynn

Hi Lynn, Sorry to hear of your disappointment, but it's not etched in stone.   Appeal it and you will likely get different results.  Address the areas that they denied you on.  The approval process is usually the hardest part of this journey. Wish you all the best!

I am so sorry about this.  I also agree with you about ""how can anyone feel your pain""...  But just think...your determination will be used much more to your advantage now.  All of your stress can now be directed to the appeal.  Just keep thinking that way.  Because you will have surgery.  It might take a while to get it approved, but know that the process will take time.  Never give up!   Best of Luck to you and keep us updated.
