Back to work...

So I am back at work today... feeling much better but still wish I was home laying down. I am sooooo sleepy! I am going to tough it out and try and work a half day today then go home and rest. Its hard sitting up at work... my stomach muscles feel pretty tight and sore and wearing non-elastic pants stinks!  I gained a lovely 9lbs in the hospital (yesssss I know - fluids!)... thankfully I had a larger pair of pants in my car (I was going to give away) that I can somewhat comfortably wear today! Some of the water weight has fallen off but my stomach is still pretty bloated. bleh!  So far everything has been ok food wise.. I have been sticking to extremely low fat mushy/liquidy foods and after a few bites I am stuffed! I am sure by the end of this week I will be feeling much much better!

Good for you for being back at work!  I think easing into it with a half day is probably a good idea.  It's a lot for your body to suddenly be alert all day long.  Take good care of yourself (sounds like you are), and you'll be to 100% in no time!

Good Luck today and I am glad it is half a day. The water weight will come off remember sip sip drinking those fluids seems to help get rid of that fluid.                                              Hugs, Annie

It is never too late to be what you might have been.?

Whew, that was fast getting back to work!  Don't push yourself gurl, or you may go backwards in recovery time. Hope you get home to lay down and nap soon, or maybe already by now!

Jennifer I am glad to hear that you are doing so well, but also agree with you for taking a half day!  Good for you!  I also agree about companies not caring!!  I hate how everything is lumpted in together.  PTO (personal time off)  Sick days should be sick days.  period!  because when I take Personal Time Off...i want it to be FUN and on MY terms.  Like everyone else said...take it easy and don't push yourself.  I'm happy that everything went so well!  Congratulations!
