I'm home from the hospital and doing great!!!!!!
Except for the fact that I really want waffles with butter and syrup, I'm doing wonderful. My gastric bypass was on Thursday 1/3 with Dr. Enochs and I must say it has been better than expected. I sayed 2 nights in the hospital but have been off all pain meds siince Friday night. I walked outside 3 times today up and down my street since it was so nice out. I know Dr.Enochs has a reputation for doing his surgeries pretty painless but would not belive it unitl I experienced it. If you have not had your surgery I hightly recommend him. He was amazing.
It has been a little difficult when the family sits down to eat. I'm not hungry but feel I should be enjoying the food with them. Friendds have been so kind to bring meals and they smell yummy. I just try to distract myself when they eat. My day will come when I can join them at the table, until then, I'll enjoy my popsicles!::)

I'm delighted to hear that all has gone so well. Congratulations on all the walking and sipping. Keep it up.

I am happy you are feeling well. I had to do Christmas at my mom's house and then at my dad's. It was really hard being 1 week post op. I couldn't eat anything. It wasn't that I felt hungry, it was that I wanted to be with them and join in the fun. I did sneak a little gravy at my dad's. I had 1/2 of the 1 oz cup and watered it down. I sat at the table with them. But, it is hard. In just a few more weeks, you will be able to join them. And it is all worth the sacrifice we are making. Be strong.
