Coming out of my shell

It's A Smiley!  OK, folks. Here's the deal. As you have probably already figured out from my avatar, I am ASHAMED to be seen in the "full-body" form. People in real life in the real world see me this way every day. So, why am I hiding from you all? I dunno!! You can relate to me more than anyone, right? Well, this morning I got brave. LOL I figured, I (hopefully) find out my surgery date on Tuesday, and I'm going to share the pictures of my journey with you all anyway, so why am I hiding? Stupid, I know. So, I posted a front and side view picture, but they both came out sooooo very tiny!! Can someone help me make them a bit larger so you can view me in all my SUPER PLUS-SIZE glory??  LMAO Thanks, Mare

{{{Mare}}} You look beautiful hon! I'm so glad you decided to share all of yourself with us. I know it was hard for you to do that, and I am so very proud of you for taking that step.  As far as your picture size, did you resize them at all after saving them to your PC?  Were they taken with a digital camera or a camera phone? It looks like the settings on the camera are set to take in small files. If it's a phone, then there's not much you can do about it, and making them larger would probably distort the picture too much. If it's a regular camera, you can probably change the file storage settings.  Anytime I have tried enlarging a picture it never comes out good. Shriking them isn't much of a problem but enlarging them I can never get it right. Sorry, wish I was more of a help.

Thanks for sharing your pictures. You will be so glad that you took them to document your journey. I highly recommend pics at  1-2 month intervals. The mirrors lie, but the pics never do. It's so much easier to see progress in photos. Even now I have days where I need to review my pics to see how far I have come. I pray you find out your surgery date soon. We will be saving a seat on the losers bench for you. Belinda

LOL!  When I saw your new avatar, even before this post appeared on the forum, I sent you a PM and made comments on your new blog telling you how proud I am of you for mustering up the courage I know it took to take these steps.  You go, girl!  We will be there walking with you all the way!

Mare -

I know it took a lot of moxie for you to post those photos, but believe me you will be so glad to have them as you make your way. Be sure to take photos every month while on your journey ... don't forget to get a kaboose photo too! It will amaze you as you make your decent down the ladder.

Your photos probably appear small because they were saved in a small format. Upload the photos again in a normal size. If you took the photos with a camera phone, they may not enlarge. If you took them with a regular camera, the size is dependent on how you save the photo when you upload from your camera. I wouldn't worry too much about these particular photos. You can leave them this size or enlarge. Just make sure when you take your next photos and upload them that you save them in a normal size.

BTW ... You ARE beautiful NOW. Just as you are.

Hugs,

Barb

Thanks Barb,      You're sweet, as always. As for pictures...not sure how to do all the stuff you said. LOL They were uploaded from a camera, not a phone. Oh, well. I'll have to take more pics and play.

xoxo Mare BTW - Kaboose is now posted! LOL

Mare: Congrats on taking this big step. I know being in front of the camera can be painful, but at least there is some light at the end of the tunnel, knowing that you will not look or feel as you do now....forever. That should be somewhat empowering and envigorating.  Looking forward to hearing you annouce your date here soon! You are very much a part of this group and I look forward to 2008 being Mare's great year. Lisa
