pics!

I just have to say all your pics the last few weeks are amazing!  I lurk frequently on this board and noticed its mostly RNYer's and see a few lap band folks now and then, but regardless of surgery the results are amazing and truly a blessing.  Anyhow, here are some pics of me going through this journey and feel blessed to be part it.  I am not a goal yet, but will get there in 2008.

Hey Rachel!  I'm glad you've come out of "lurking" to share your success with us.  WOW!  You look GREAT. I see on your profile you're in Clayton.  We would LOVE to have you join our local WLS support group.  I've only been 2 times (Nov and Dec) since my surgery in October.  This is a wondermous group of (mostly) ladies and I learn something new from them every time. You may have seen it, but our next gathering is in Raleigh on the 19th at 10 at Perkins on Capital Blvd.  DO come and join in the fun...

And I hope to see you here more often... I'm just down the road in Zebulon!

Thanks Wendy. I love looking at your recipes!  I have thought about attending some of the get togethers in the past, however weekends tend to be busy for me, (basketball, baseball etc...) always seems to be somethign going on.  I would love to attend, Ill check my sons schedule on the 19th, hopeully I can amke it!  Thanks for the kind words, its a big step for me to post pics, I still dont like the camera!

I don't think it matter which type of WLS surgery you had, I think that the fact that it is working for you is the key ... and it most obviously is!

As Wendy said, we'd love to have you join us at an upcoming event. I'm the main organizer for these things and would love to have input re: better dates and times and/or activities ... please do share. We'd love to see you soon.

Thanks Barb!  Your transformation is truly an inspiration!  I hope I can make it on the 19th, I would love to meet you all!  I will let you know in a few days.  I have kept primairly to the Lap Band Forum but read here often and have learned so much from all of you! It would be nice to get to know people personally that are going through the same triumphs, struggles and battles you are!
