Met 3 of my first goals!
Hi everyone, thought I'd share some WOWs myself this morning. I have met 3 of my goals so far.
1) I turned 50 last year on Jan 3rd. My goal in 2006 was to lose 50 pounds by the time I turned 50; well that didn't happen. Then with the decision to have this surgery I made a wild goal to lose 51 pounds by Jan 3rd (yesterday) when I turned 51. Well, I made it and it felt really good to actually meet a weight loss goal for a change.
2) I'm off 2 of my 3 prescription meds. I'm off the blood pressure med and the antidepressant med. This was a very important goal for me and it's probably the one I'm most happy about.
3) I crossed my legs and even though it wasn't really comfortable, I was able to cross them. YEAH!
Thanks for allowing me to share these 3 WOWs with you all.
Have a great 2008! Alice

Congratulations! I am very happy for you. Only one more med to go and you'll be off of them. Yes, that is a very important one. Just a sign of better health. And crossing your legs, that is fun. I have been trying that too. Still not comfortable either, but I'm getting there. So, yesterday was your birthday? Happy belated Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know it was a great birthday knowing you have met those goals. Keep up the wonderful work. I think it is great that you make measurable goals like that. It keeps us in the positive, by seeing what we accomplish.
Hi Alice:
Happy Birthday! You have done an awesome job in a short amount of time and this year there will be more goals that will you will meet for sure!
2008 will be a great year for us all!
Keep up the great work Alice.
I am going to scrap my weight loss journey eventually. I need to get moving on that. Have you started one?
Lisa
Thanks Lisa, and yes, I have a scrapbook dedicated to my WLS journey. I have a few pictures of it on my profile. I need to take some more and add them. I just got it upated through my 2 month post op photo. I'm using an 8 x 8 book and it's really quick to do those pages. I think it will be a great motivator when I reach goal, to look back and see how far I've come.
Take care, Alice
