Merry Christmas everyone!

Hey guys!!  Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.  Mine was good.  I got to spend the day with my family at my brother's house.  He's the one who successfully battled cancer earlier this year.  We had such a good time today cutting up and singing karoke and just relishing life in general!! Hi Donna:      I am glad that you had a good Christmas and got to hang out with family and all. You do look great and I read your blog about you seeing the same old you. I guess we are most critical on ourselves and fail to see what others see. I believe that comes from the emotional side of eating. I can only speak for myself but I know I struggle with this. It is a day by day reprogramming of years of negative self talk and self abuse.It will take much time to repair and won't just disappear when the weight comes off. We have to reprogram with positive talk and replace all the years of neagtive stuff. Sometimes we have to fake it till we make it, if that makes sense. Eventually we will get there! Just reaffirm daily that you are doing awesome, look fabulous and are an beautiful lady both inside and out! Lisa

Aw Lisa, you are so sweet and encouraging to me!!!  I know that it will take a long time to see myself in a "good" way.   And you are so right ~~ I am my own worst critic!!!!  I always have been!!  I'll try to cut myself some slack and concentrate on my good points and successes in 2008!!!  Thank you so much for your kind words!! P.S. I just checked out your new photos. You look fabulous! The changes are dramatic, but I really understand your comments about having trouble seeing it. That's one of the reasons I had portraits taken. I wanted to see if I could "see" what others tell me that they see. Honestly, I CAN see it a little better after seeing the portraits. There's something different about having the professional pictures taken. I hope that you'll look at your photos and see the slimmer waist, the "single" chin, and the lovely curves that are indicative of beautiful feminine body. Keep looking, evenutally you'll see what we do.
