Thanks again for taking the time to reply, how are you now feeling?
Where do you get the protein powder? I guess it would be easy to add it to any purred food.
Were you given an amount of protein to eat daily, or to aim for as you can eat more.
Today I finished my 7th boost day, no problems at all. surgery date is June 12.. I am pretty stressed after seeing the pre op nurse. I have a soon to be 6 year old son and hope all goes well. I have lots of family support so that is not an issue.
I have to say today I am feeling really dry in my mouth, I am tying to drink more water.
My answer to this got lost in cyberland yesterday!
I spoke with Suzanne and she was not really keen on the idea of protein powder. She suggested high protein drinks like Ensure and Boost.
You can buy protein powder in grocery stores, walmart, costco, and any health food store. They are usually in the pharmacy section.
Your surgery will go fine. I was nervous too especially when you have a child all the worst case scenarios play in your mind. One good thing to keep in mind is that Dr. Savoie and Dr. Semerjian have never lost a patient.
I couldn't agree more... I am still sore under my left breast and it is the only incision tape that is still on.... I find it uncomfortable there while lying down still.. Not painful anymore... Just uncomfortable!!! I was afraid drinking was going to hurt as the first morning I was brought apple juice and to me that would sting. Complete opposite.. It was delicious and refreshing!
i am so glad you did well... I am down 33 including my 21 preop....so 12 since surgery 12 days ago!!!!!! I'm so excited!!!
