Thank you so much Deb,

It is too bad you had a bad start but that is not what is important, what is important is the way you carry on from here.  You are doing amazingly well, your photos are a testimony to what you have gone through and how you have succeeded.  That you can now be active in your daughter's life is wonderful.  I am so happy for you and your family.

You have shared information on this forum that has helped me and I am very grateful for that.

Rest assured I will be sharing a lot more moments - mainly because I am unable to keep it to myself.  I haven't shared the real reason for my surgery with very many people in my life but I can come here and share and vent and everyone here understands and shares with me.

How lucky am I to have found all these new and dear friends?  And how lucky are we to have this opportunity at a new life, a new, long, healthy life and the chance to share it so that others can benefit?

It has been a good weekend for me, and if I have a bad week next week it won't matter, I will just remember how good this weekend went and I will feel better.

Thanks again,
Ann

I so can't wait for that feeling! Your words say it all. I hope that feeling lasts and carries you through upcoming struggles. I am fairly new to OH, so I have to ask....what's NSV mean????????

How come I can't click on your profile. Do you have it blocked?  I was going to add you as a friend.

NSV is a non scale victory.  Meaning a success or accomplishment that doesn't involve your actual weight.  Something that makes you feel as good or better about your struggles andhard work.

Hey Suzanne,  I think you might already be a friend of mine.  I think we chatted on the phone last week.  Glad to see you here on the forum.  NSV means Non Scale Victory.  It is a Victory or an wonderful thing that happens because of weightloss but not related to the numbers on the scale.  Like buying new clothes because your old ones are too big or fitting into a booth in a restaurant.

Glad to see you here on OH.

If you will unblock your identity we can add you as a friend and send private messages.

Hi Ann,

It must have been another Suzanne you were talking to! Unless I'm losing my mind, and that's entirely possible.  I will do my best to figure out how to unblock my profile.

Thanks!

Hi Suzanne

I got your pm and have sent a reply back. Like the other gals have mentioned your profile is set up private and will not let me add you as a friend but I replied to your pm so maybe it will work.

The update on Halifax is yes there is enough interest and we can start meeting- I just thought it would make sense to have as many pre/post ops and those interested in surgery - be invited to the group- however I now have about
5 - 6 names so I guess we will just start! It will be cozy! I am sure it will grow.

My email is [email protected]

So if you are having trouble with your profile you can reach me that way.

Yes I am in Halifax as well !

We will have a meeting in February. We will work a time/date/day that works for everyone.

hugs
Deb
