I am a little discouraged because I have worked out for 3 weeks and have not lost anything.  I  have decided to the do the pouch thing.  I will keep working out and to hit my goal.  thanks for all of the prayers.  Penni

Hi Penny... can you tell us a little bit about yourself... have you posted on here before? Seems like I remember you?

We live fairly close. When did you have surgery? Have you hit your goal weight, gained back, still trying to lose?

Don't be discouraged about the exercise... from your other post it sounds like you are heading in the right direction... you know you need to do something and you are taking action.  I know you will be rewarded if you keep up the exercise, do the pouch test and basically go back to the way you did right after surgery... maybe it would help to re~read your white binder that Dr. H. gave you... might give you some ideas?

Do you go to his support group meetings?  I just have to start... I forget every month if someone doesn't say something on here that reminds me.  Maybe that would be another way to help you to stay focused?

Wishing you the very very best as I know it is a constant battle for me to keep fighting the good fight so to speak.  But I know you can do it.

Hi Bec,
I do remember you!  I can't remember where you live.  I am planning on coming to the support meeting in Feb. maybe I will see you there.  I live in Windsor with my husband and my beautiful children.  Marybeth 9, Weston 5, Charlie 2, and Everett 6 months.  I had my surgery 4 years ago last November.  My highest weight was 308 my lowest was 135.  I have had two babies since then and I need to lose about 30 pounds.  I would be happy with 155-160.  I started making bad choices when I found out I was going to have my last baby.  I am not one of the gastric bypas patients that pukes when I eat something bad (wish I was).  At Christmas time my sister said something and it made me think.  She said that she could tell I had gained weight.  So I rushed right up to the local gym and I excersise nearly every night with a good friend of mine.  I called Margie and she told me to get back to basics so I think I will do that 5 day pouch thingy.  I will get out my white binder from Dr. H and go through it like I was pre op.  I have soooo much skin to get rid of.  Next tax return (not this one coming up) we are going to look into getting it removed.  I think once I can do that I will be happier.  I don't want to get back to the way I was before surgery.  I am excited about coming back on here I know it will be alot of encouragment.  Hopefully I can be that for others here as well.  Hope to see you at the next support meeting.  God bless, Penni
