WHATS HAPPENING SATURDAY
What a windy day! I'm pretty sure I will have more lights blown out...the only problem is that it is too windy to get on the ladder to fix them. I will just have to have tacky (snicker) decs until I can get up there!
Oh, Jan....I laughed out loud when you knew I wouldn't be offended about my tree! It's nice to be known! Oh, and the UnderArmour is a life saver. My hubby let me wear his yesterday even tho they were too big and my legs were the only part of me that was warm!
I was off the board all day yesterday. We got up early and went to an equipment auction in Odessa. Wow, those machines were huge! If anybody were running a business and needed dozers, or backhoes, or any kind of machinery that was the place to get it. We only went to see if they had attachements for our skid steer. They did but they went too high. We did buy what we thought were a set of tracks but we may have gotten taken. We will see if the auction co. will make it right. We also bought a lot of brand new parts washers. At a great price for 4 of them, and never been out of the box. But it was so cold and windy....but like I said the UnderArmour saved my legs. I think hubby is getting me my own set for Christmas. After yesterday I see that I could use a pair of the socks!!
We got home late and then quickly cleaned up for our dancing night. We had a good time and then went to dinner, came home and hit the hay. So I wasn't really able to keep up with the board. Wasn't even able to post the Eatin' Good thread or even respond to Thursday's post. Glad to see most everybody is doing ok. Hope to hear something soon on Jeanine and I'm really praying that Janet's pain gets relieved soon!
I would like to ask for prayer for my mom. She has had this virus in her chest for over 6 weeks and is very sick. The doc is worried because she's losing weight and her kidney function is not good. She also has lung scarring from years of secondhand smoke, pneumonia and a blood clot which is why she can't kick the virus. Then on top of that, she's had spinal stenosis for years and it is progressing. She needs to see a neurosurgeon but she's not ready. This narrowing has destroyed her sciatic nerve in both legs and it may to be blame for part of her kidney issues. She's really pretty healthy it's just the virus and the spine issues. But obviously the spine issues could kill her sooner than later. I'm her only child and I'm a little concerned just because she's all I have left. But I will do what I can and leave the rest in the Lord's hands. Anyway, thanks for prayers.
Well, need to get my day started. We have a graduation party tonight and church and stuff tomorrow. So housework and laundry today.
Love you all,

Life isn't about about waiting for the storm to pass...
It's about learning to dance in the rain.
Jan you had asked me what size I am wearing now. Well I have to tell you all a story that happened yesterday.I went to Walmart looking for a new pair of black pants for my DH Christmas party at work to night. Well I took in a 18/20 and a 16. I put on the 18/20 and they fit but the legs were real big. So I put on the 16 THEY FIT!!!! I was wearing 26/28 and even some 32s before I started this. I was so surpriced I almost cryed. I wanted to run right out of the dressing room and show my Mom but I knew she had headed over to the toy section and I thought I probally shouldn't go running all through the store yelling"THEY FIT,THEY FIT" LOL.I have also went from a 32/5X in topps to 1X sometimes 2X depending on the style.
And also the scale has started to move. Two more pounds and I never have to see the 250's again!!!!!!
Talked to my MIL this morning and my BIL will probally come home tomorrow. He is still having a little trouble with an infection. So they are doing a round of penicilin and see if that helps. But things are definatly better.
Our plans of going to the mall in Columbia today got changed. But my kids are coming here today to visit for a few hours. I am so excited. So I better get off here and get things ready for them .They should be here about noon. Hope everyone has a good time at your Christmas parties today and Monday. Safe travels. Take Care and God Bless, Love, Tammy V.
Boy what a windy day. I am thinking of taking my dog for a walk but he weighs close to 100 lbs and sometimes he likes to walk me..with all this wind we may be able to fly today...
Jan I got your advice about walking a little late. I took Buddy (my dog) for a walk the other day and walked about 8 blocks further then usual and was down for about 3 days. That and the weather took its toll. Its hard to watch a 4yr old (my granddaughter) when you can barely move. I couldn't even stand up straight to walk. Guess I will just continue with my 12 blocks and be happy about that for awhile longer.
I am getting frustrated. I have been at the same weight, 222 lbs, for about a month or longer now. I have changed back to my GNC protein, it seems when I switched to Body Fortress from walmart, my weight stalled. I never thought about that until someone posted about protein the other day. Hopefully by switching back it will start it up again. I am surley not thru losing weight yet.
Well guess I had better get off here and get a few things done.
Everyone have a great day. Will keep all the needs on my prayer list.
Good Evening Mama Jan & MO Peeps:
Thankfully I am feeling a little better today. Got my Kitchen cleaned and even d/l the before and after pics on my page!
DH and Jake left this morning for the IBEX camp out in Independence. Boy, I hope they keep warm tonight. That wind is something fierce. Luke asked me if I wanted to go out to dinner with him tonight! We're going to the new Mexican Restaurant here in town. I have a buy one get one 1/2 off for dinner. I guess I'll have to at least curl my hair. Probably won't bother with make up. I'm excited that he actually wants to spend some time with me! I find that boys really open up when you're at the dinner table. I will have to really wrap myself up tight and wear a scarf around my mouth so I don't get worse. Don't think one little trip up town will hurt. At least I hope not. I have too much to do to be sick during Christmas time!
Tonight I'm going to try and get some presents wrapped and start on my Christmas Cards. Will probably only do Cards for our Church Family. We just take them to Church and deliver them there (the idea is to put the $$ you would have spent on sending the cards into the Lottie Moon Foreign Missionary Fund).
Mama Jan - Looks like I won't be able to come to the Christmas Party on the 22nd. I know, I'm bummin too. We just spent $200 on getting Luke's laptop and my PC up to par. I must say though the computer runs better than it ever has. Apparently it had a bunch of ad ware on it. I know it's from Jake playing an on line game called Ruin Scape. Plus the added 1 gig of ram. Wow, what a difference that makes! Needless to say, Jake will not be playing anymore on line games on this computer!
Sugar - I have the funniest little video of you on my camera when we were at Peggy's house. I'd love to email it to you. Please PM me with your email address. Will email it to you. So cute. Actually, I'll email it anyone who would like to see if if you will PM me with your email address.
Bec - What exactly did you catch and what kind of trap are you talking about? I guess I missed that whole conversation! Sounds interesting though...
Cor - I'm so proud of you! You are really coming along! Congrats on the new you!
Jeanine - I am praying for your complete recovery. Hope to see you back on the board soon!
Janet - I'm glad to hear Jon is finally feeling better. I know this crud is hard to shake once you get it. Hope you all stay healthy for Christmas and New Year's!
MO Peeps - Everyone have a GREAT and SAFE weekend!
