Banded this month
I was banded on the 8th. I am home and doing very well. I have also had plenty of surgieries so knew kinda what to expect. I got in the mind set of my gall bladder surgery and it was pretty close. That did help, this was easier, for me anyway. The first two days the pressure in the chest and back were uncomfortable but tolerable. I used the gasx, heating pad and walking all I learned from here. It all helps a lot. Today is the third day and I am feeling more from my incisions and believe it or not a little hungry but easily satisfied except for chewing. I'm using gum for that. My port incision is inflamed a little, but the nurse said that is pretty normal. I think I ran on adrenaline the first 2 days. Today I am feeling a little more tired and sore, but still very tolerable. I have a 4 yr old girl to take care of so not much time to be down. I got very nervous about 3 days before surgery and almost talked myself into canceling so called the nurse and mom found out this is normal. All your doubt**** you. They will pass. I told myself just do at and deal with it. I worked too hard and waited too long to back out. Good luck.
