~COF Christmas party & Tweens~

Dear COF Peeps~

Its with a heavy heart that I post this-But I want to get something clarified.

Quite the contrary to an earlier post-our COF Christmas Party AND the decision to exclude the "tweens" is NOT because we do not sincerely enjoy our children OR other peoples children.

I wrote the email that went out. Im sorry if it offended anyone or sounded rude-but I have asked everyone IF I could have worded it differently and not offended certain people who have "tweens" and I dont think wording it any differently would have made the slightest difference. IT is NOT rude, it is NOT hateful-it states a fact and it explains. That should be enough and it should have never became an issue or made out that people were being spiteful, hateful OR rude OR insinuated that we do NOT have the spirit of this time of year.

Our decision to exclude them was simple-a space issue and for those of you who understand this and know that we were not doing anything to be mean hearted or hateful-then we WELCOME YOU and look forward to it, and if you dont, then I sincerely hope that YOU find a function that CAN accomodate your children and we will really miss you. P.S. I have 4 children of my own, 2 that are tweens and I, too, will have to have a sitter.

Dear dear Janet, You worded it well the first time and I couldnt see where anyone would be offended. Please dont take it to heart or worry about it. We will never make everyone happy or meet all needs. THAT is just a fact of life.

To all others.... as far as the space aspect, I want everyone to know that it isnt that the room we will be in isnt big enough to accomodate that many people it is that the space is not condusive for letting little children run and play. We (Janet and I) could not see little kids or Tweens sitting politely (and liking it) for 3 or more hours while the adults have "THEIR" party. And the party is an adult party aimed at and for US! Please dont take offense when we say that it is aimed at the adult group.

The reunion in the fall is aimed at famlies and encourages it. Some other gatherings may someday include families too...just not this one!

Okay, now lets all get to having fun! This is the season to be MERRY & BRIGHT!!!!

the BBF stands for BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES...

just are names the groups adopted for themselves...

there are other groups around the state but i think these two are the only ones that are having a Christmas party...and you are welcome to attend either one or both  if you would like ...

The COF is Circle of Friends, those are the names of our support groups that meets together...If you need any more info just let us know!

The COF stands for "Circle of Friends" support group and the BBF "Beautiful Butterflies Something".  That's funny.  I don't remember what the F is for and that's my group.  Maybe friends, 'cause we all are!!

 I would really like to thank all three of you ladies for all the caring hard work you put in to this board, the meetings, and the party's. You three and some of the other people do an amazing job, I think it's very sad that you guy's have been attacked on silly little issues, and feel these people need to grow up.
 I love, respect and thank each of you for everything you have done and do for me.
