I do not hate shopping for clothes anymore!!!!

   I could not believe it when I went shopping yesterday!  I have been wearing a size 22/24 for almost a decade now. I knew my clothes were getting big on me with my weight loss since the surgery, but it was not until yesterday that it really sunk in.  I started a new job last week and I cannot wear jeans except on Fridays.  Unfortunately, ALL of my slacks look like clown pants on me now, and even with a belt I have trouble keeping them up!  I did not want to do any shopping for clothes until I lost more weight, but it was inevitable. 
   I went to Wal Mart and figured I could get away with a size 20, but imagine my surprise when even a size 18 was too big.  I actually ended up trying on a pair of size 16 pants and to my pleasant surprize THEY FIT (AND THEY WERE NOT EVEN TIGHT!!!!!)
       WOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!   I think I will enjoy shopping now!!!  I am actually out of the PLUS sizes finally!

that is great Tammy keep working and soon you will be looking at 10s ..do you belong to a support group maybe someone in your group has some clothes that you could weiar. ....that way you dont spend a fortune on the way down. '

         Thank you I am really looking forward to that 10!!  I currently do not belong to a support group.  I have wanted to join you all at some of the support meetings and was hoping to come to the Christmas party on the 13th, but it seems something is always scheduled on those days.  I will be out of town the 12th & 13th and when I get back the 13th I have another Christmas party I HAVE to  attend (it is for my school (Columbia College/Ft. Leonardwood) and  I am on the Student Senate and we are sponsoring it. 
        Lynette has invited me to some of the meetings too but if it is not one thing it is another that seems to always be in the way. 
      I am hoping that after the holidays, my schedule will settle down some and I will be able to attend some meetings and get to meet everyone.   This website and message forum has been a real blessing and really helps me too in the mean time.

       I would love to come to the Christmas party, however I will be out of town the night of the 12th and when I get back I have to go to the College Christmas party from 1-5 (I am part of the Student Senate at the FLW Columbia College branch and we are one of the sponsors for it)  I am hoping that after the holidays I will be able to be more involved and get to meet everyone. 

Tammy we'd love to have you---our support group is full of wonderful loving people.  You will be amazed at how good you feel after leaving a support group.  It gives you a little boost.  I'll be posting about our next meeting in Janurary in a couple weeks.  Hope to meet you then.

since you cant attend their party on the 13th maybe you can come and attend ours on the 22nd...is on a Monday night...so maybe you will be less stressed then. ..hope to see you on here more.
