My gallbladder is coming out

I finally got the results of my gallbladder tests and it's not functioning very well at all, plus I have stones. I was going to have Dr. Price do the surgery, but I think it'd be easier with my busy schedule to do it here in Clinton so I'm waiting to get a call for my surgical consult.

I really am not looking forward to having another surgery so soon, but I know I won't feel better until I do this. I just don't feel like I have the time to take off for surgery. Things are so busy.

So, for those of you who have had gallbladder surgery, what is the recuperation time like? Pretty easy?

Very easy and in and out and that day really to get over the anesthesia is all you have to worry about. I felt alot better having mine out and knowing I wouldnt have that problem again! Glad you found out and are going to get it over with!

Hi Brandy....

Hope you get to feeling better.  Mine went very well but I had some complications a few days out and ended up in the hospital for a while.  (But of course, I have to do things the hard way.)  You will be in and out and feel pretty good the next day, I did.  And since I've had mine out, I realized this is the best I've felt in a year!  Best wishes and keep us posted on your consult and the date of surgery.

I had mine taken out at Bothwell in Sedalia, Dr. Hornbostel did it, an overnight stay.  Recuperation was short.

Good luck!
