WHATS HAPPENING SATURDAY
I think that I have been busier today than I was before thanksgiving. Got things put away, from Thanksgiving and before everyone left last night I had them to all bring my Christmas boxes in from the lean to shed.and put them on the porch, that way Joe wouldn’t think he had to it. So now the back porch is lined up with boxes. The plastic tote boxes. All really big ones and all really full of decorations. I don’t know if I will get
M y outside light up a all this year....Joe isn’t suppose to do anything right now that requires him to look up and that is where all the outside lights are lol I did put a cute little plastic tree out on the front porch and may put my big lighted wreath up on the eve of the porch .will see what else I can do. I got the tree up today and went thru the house and took lots of items off the tables so I could put ‘’christmas stuff on them...took all my cups down off the hangers under the cabinet and put all my Christmas mugs up on them
My bathroom is sole decorated with Santa Clauses. All sizes and kinds. About all I have to do now is put up my nativity set. It is a big one that my mama gave me . and I wouldn’t take nothing for it. It has camels and sheep in it and everything is glazed with sort of mother of pearl....the camels are over a foot tall. So every year I have a hard time finding a place to put it. I think I have found the perfect spot for it nowl
Im going outside tomorrow and finding sticks and bark and going to make a semi barn. Manger I had one but it got broken. This one will make a little better.
I sent home loads of food with everyone that was here but more so with my grandson he said that this was the first time he had eaten a good meal in about a month. I ask him what he had been eating , this boy has been living on Ramin Noodles. Now I like them too but wouldn’t if I had to eat them daily..sort of like the liquid diet I guess lol ...i told him that if he couldn’t find a job in the next 2 or 3 days to get his stuff together and move out here with up , he can stay in the trailer and help Joe fix that up....told him we didn’t have money to buy him a car but after we got thru with stuff here he could go get one at the rental place...which I would have bought the little Honda that I saw the other day. Was 1000.00 but when I am lookijg they didn’t have it then;.
I made some of the protein soufflés that Peggy had at her party, I will be making these oh a regular basis, don’t take long at all to prepare and are so so good.
Joe and Carl, Joes brother, thought they were great too. Told them those were my treats to get their mitts off...they were allowed one a piece and that is all.
Did anyone else get rain this morning ? it rained ¼ of an inch here but did it pretty fast.
SUGAR:::::: did you see the picture of me , Joe and Donnie that is on my profile? He grew 2 more inches since I had seen him last. You should have seen what he ate Thanksgiving...3 full plates full plus a big plate of desserts
I didn’t eat to much , well take that back I did and then got sick...but it still wasn’t much. I have a tendency to do that when there are lots of people around and everyone is talking and laughing , I forget to watch what and how im eating.
No I didn’t go fight the crowds either, I figured they would really be bad this year because of the horribile conditions of everyones finances. And everyone looking for a bargain. And they were more people than usual I think but still less spending they said. I wonder if Becky got her computer she was wanting. You know what , my laptop that I got at walmart,,,,I paid 100 less for it than they have it advertised as a good bargain now . now that isn’t right. And I looked real close and it is the exact same laptop...

Deb your Blessing Box sounds like a great idea for a lot of people for a Christmas present...if you are trying to save some money and who isn’t , might be a great present ....decorate it in any style...well sounds cool to me.
BARBARA S::::::::: LOL that is what I do with my big roaster pans and platters and trays...they all go into storage shed until Christmas . those two holidays are the only times of year I use that stuff. But you sure do need it when you need it don’t you?
I do a lot of shopping on line too. Most of the places have free shipping if you buy a certain amount. So a bargain I think and that way I don’t have to go shopping. I really don’t like to shop , I think that is weird that I don’t like it but that is just the way I am.

Yes please make your mom go to the doctor. Being sick for 6 weeks is time to get something done and get over it.
Yes I think all of us could use the blessing box. I am thinking of doing one for several people and decorating it in different designs... Cigar boxes(do they still make them?) or a small childs shoe box would be good too.

jan your grandson sure is a tall guy my brother's son is only going to be 14 next month and he is taller than his mom and she is 6 foot tall he can eat too and is skinny as a bean pole we dont know where he put's all the food lol
cor you did good not eating anything or tasting on thanksgiving day hopefully we will get to see you at the christmas party andy and i have to go to my doctor's app at 10.00 am then we will come to the party from there.we are praying that i get a surgery date soon after seeing the surgeon.

Now don't faint, but I've been up since 6:30 am! We kept our grandson, Kameron, last night and he is an early bird. He ate two bowls of oatmeal and asked for a 3rd one. I told him I thought two bowls was enough! I did give him a banana which he ate 1/2 of. Guess he's going thru a growing spell! lol.
I feel a little better this morning. Yesterday, I was so exhausted I could hardly get out of bed. I did, with the help of dh, get the laundry done. We really need to finish grouting the kitchen (just a few touch ups and one small place on the breakfast bar) then we can seal it and it will be done. Not sure if that'll get done today or not. We will see.
Was planning on putting up the Christmas tree this weekend. Not sure if we'll do that. Luke's not here and like I said I'm still really tired. We have to move my curio cabinet which is full of Precious Moments. That is a job in and of itself. I may do that today and then we can put the tree up later this week.
Jan - KPERS is a pension plan thru the state of Kansas. It's an extra supplement to SS. That would be a HUGE benefit for David getting on with the county. The interview he has on Tuesday is for a Truck Driver. It would more of a physical job than he has had in years. Not sure if he's able but it would be a foot in the door. We will see what the Lord has planned. We have put out over a dozen resumes and this is the only one we've heard back from. He is also going to go back to the place in Lawrence this week with his completed application. I must say it is an adjustment having him home all the time. So far we are getting along well. Please keep us in your prayers.
Susan - Hon, it's great to see your post on the board! I bet Jan & Joe are the best landlords ever! What a blessing you are to them as well. Enjoy decorating your new home for Christmas.
Sugar - Thanks for the name of that game. We always loved playing games with the boys, just haven't done it in a long time. I miss that interaction. Going to see if we can't start that back up again.
Bec - Where on where are you? Hope you all survived Black Friday and you got that new lap top you wanted! If you don't post soon, I'm going to have to call you young lady!!

Jeepers! I survived! Was in line at 2:40 IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT! to get this new puter I am typing on now... I ended up getting a desk top with a 19 inch monitor.... the laptops were sold out the afternoon of Thursday as people set their tents up in front of the store some at 1:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving day! Even this desk top... I was # 8 in line and got # 5 of the seven that were on great sale! I saved $300 by standing in that line for 2.5 hours...so I guess it was worth it. I have never in my life did that and would never do it again unless it was a MAJOR purchase like this was. There were a group of 6 boys first in line and I guess they had partied in the night and had gotten sick all over the area around the door! It was gross! They were rude! and confrontational to any who even walked up the door to read the signs.
Anyway now that I have my new puter home out of the box and hooked up to the Internet I'm FRUSTRATED!!!!! My puter was 10 years old and I had gotten used to it....... this new one I know nothing about ....... it is so totally diff that I can't get around anywhere on it! It will take me FOREVER to learn how to use the thing and it did NOT come with an owners manual that explains the features! I can't maneuver around the net or my e~mail! Will those of you that have my e~mail address please shoot me an e~mail so I can figure how to get your address back in my address book? Heck I can't even find the address,or how to work the "favorites" so I don't have to go thru the whole process to get to this page! It sure would help me out loads! I know I am going to love this when I get it figured out, but I sure wish I had someone that could come show me the features without having to research EVERY thing I want to do....
I did get AVG anti-virus software downloaded successfully with the help of my Jo.... it took 5 hours and 10 minutes last evening to do it! Man I sure hope it does some good! at that amount of time....we got it started and went to town.
Andy I sure wish I had you to come give me a good lesson on this new stuff! I got this big monitor so I could see the writing better and now the writing it is even smaller than my old puter! It is only using the middle of the screen! Egads another thing to research and adjust...the color on the monitor is too pale too and needs to be brightened up....I don't know what all these little icons mean? There are a boatload of features that I don't know what they are...would probably get a lot of good use out of them if I knew what to do with them? Boy I feel overwhelmed! ~ha
It's the wrong time of year to be trying to learn so much so fast! ~ha I didn't anticipate it being so frustrating!
Any way enough about that! This week has gone by in a blur and now it is time for my baby girl to leave early in the morning! Man have I had fun with her! I'm nearly in tears just thinking of it... but in three weeks they BOTH will be back home for 2+ weeks! Oh yippee skippee!!!
I think the hormones are wreaking havoc with me this morning I'm going to go out and exercise and see if maybe I will feel better!
Boy I love you all! Please be patient with me as I get this new puter all up and going to where I feel like I can maneuver around and not be so frustrated it may take me a bit but I will be back!

I got to see Barb. I love that girl..and got to talk to Peggy she sounds so very sweet, I just wish I could see all of you all and set and visit.. and Janet and Bec.Susan, Andy, Jan,Sugar, Lana you all are the ones I have met, and would love to see all you I have not met, Pooh Bear, Renee, Lou,Cottonmom, I met 2 wonderful people at Branson and cant remember their names(help) Angie,and there is wonderful Joe....all I can do is look at Jan's letter and use their names so I know I will remember more names after i get done.
Had a great trip in K.C found some outlet stores that was great...but outside that we found more bargains in Springfield, I guess because we know the area better.
got almost all Christmas shopping done, had to have several gag gifts for parties, got that covered, got my secret pal covered too...
Did anyone get up at 4:00 Fri? I didn't , I wanted the sheets at wal-mart but just couldn't get up that early..but I called later and ask the girl at the camera desk if they had any of the 10 MP Kodak left, this was at 2:00, she said no than said wait a min. I have one here, I ask her to save it for me she said we cant do that but hurry..lol..I got it...good people in this ole world, I told her thanks, she said no one ask for one after you called..any way $79.00 was a great buy for 10.3 MP...they had the extra cards for $7.00...Virg said that was my Christmas ( I hate that) I wanna open presents...lol...cant afford anything else....

Dear Auntie Jan and OH Peeps,
It was so wonderful to read everyones posts about their Thanksgiving holiday and how they spent them! Call me "mooshy", but it sure makes your heart feel good to read such heart-warming posts! I did get in yesterday and started my post in wordpad-but I just couldnt get it finished-so I just deleted it. It just wasnt meant to be!
I had the BEST Thanksgiving I have had in years and years! Mike and I were blessed with having ALL of our kids here, and my mom even showed up-and EVERYONE was in good moods and we had a blast! We picked up Stephanie after work on Weds, and Jon was in his glory!!!! He woke up asking me if I knew what day it was!! LOL! He wanted to get her at 8 am! Anyway-we got her and then stopped at the store to get the rest of the ingrediants I needed to make the kids' favorites for dinner-mexican. We had tacos and chicken enchiladas. They watched a couple of movies while we started our baking and making up a few things beforehand. I was up a good part of the night! LOL...However, it was really nice that while Steph and I were prepping and baking, we just talked up a storm...and she has just done an incredible amount of growing up these past 6 months. I am awfully proud of her! I was in my glory!
Anyway, I made cupcakes, for those who dont like pie.....and then I made my pies, and Stephanie went to lay down with Jon (his request-LOL). She made a "fort" for them in the family room and he wanted to make sure SHE slept right next to him, so she said-Mom, I will be back as soon as Jon falls asleep-well, I heard him in there talking her ears off for over an hour-He had soooo much to share with her-LOL and before I knew it-they were BOTH sleeping! So, I finished up everything in the kitchen-I got to sleep around 330 or so n up at 6! I started chopping everything to get ready to saute-and the next thing I knew, Steph was on the other side of the bar-chopping with me, with her coffee and we were talking up a storm again! I had all I could do, the whole time she was here-to keep from crying on and off-because I was so happy!
Oh, and I guess I should mention that this was only the 2nd time in my 40+ yrs of life that I have EVER made my pies totally from scratch!!! The first time was just 4 yrs ago~! I made a pumpkin pie and a sf pecan pumpkin pie.....all from scratch...YAY for me...LOL. Steph made a cheese cake too- She has always been the baker in this family. Mike is the best cook/baker-but he sure doesnt do it very often....everyone was asking WHEN he was going to bake some of his famous pies. He makes pies that are just amazing!
Our day stayed hopping after that! Man, it was just cooking, cooking, cooking-and it was crazy-but I loved it! The kids had so much fun and Stephanie even went into her old room and helped box up a bunch of stuff and also told me what could go in the sale and she threw a lot of things away too, I was so thankful for her help. She came out of there at one point and said-Man, I was really disgusting, wasnt I? I pleaded the 5th. I guess it was because she had 2 glasses that I had put in a box to throw away because I found them under her bed-where she left them, full of tea or something... She was like-Mom, you gave me that coffee mug last yr for Christmas, I CANT throw that away-I said, well, then have at it-cuz IM NOT cleaning it out-LOL...so it soaked for the rest of the day!
I did get to eat turkey this year and didnt dump! YAY, I was pretty happy about that! That is a first. I didnt really eat too much and I dont like pie-so I didnt eat any of that either-but what I did have-tasted so wonderful.....
Anyway-then MY MOM-who NEVER leaves her house-asked me if I wanted to go with her Friday morning, because there were a couple of things she wanted to get on sale-and she had been saving her money to go.....I about fell over. My mom never, ever, ever goes ANYWHERE, unless she HAS TO!~ So, I was like-Well, sure-BUT.....How will I know IF you will get up and really meet me? I dont want to be at the truck stop at 4 am, by myself-and she said-Call me when you get up-I am setting my alarm for 330....and so I called her at 345 and she was up-already dressed and said she was leaving in 20 minutes to meet me....WOW! I didnt have any money to shop with, but I sure didnt want to miss time with my mom, thats for sure! Mike had to work, but didnt have to leave until 715, and he got Darrel up to watch Jonathan, cuz yes, he is STILL SICK... Darn it! Anyway-so he said-just have a good time and dont worry about anything else. We went to WM first-and 3 of the things that were first on her list, of course, were sold out, already! She was so bummed out. We did get a lot of other things tho, that were on her list-and we had fun-except for some of the rudest, most hateful people I have ever seen! This, by far, was the WORST year I have ever seen on Black Friday-and trust me, I am out there every stinking year-For having a bad economy-You sure couldnt tell it for all the expensive stuff that was coming off the racks-I mean, like the HD flat screen, big tvs, the computers, digital photo frames and cameras, stuff like that. I saw as many of those, as I did people with the $4 pj kids sets-LOL..... Anyway-it was just hectic. But, had fun with my mom and thats all that matters. Steph was going to go with us-but she also had to work, and so she wanted to get some more sleep in, since she didnt get as much sleep as she normally does, being at my house-LOL....
Anyway, while we were there-she asked me to try on a winter coat-they had them for $8 yesterday until noon-and they are kinda like those bubble kind. Nothing fancy, no hat or anything, but she said Steph needed one-so I tried some on and she decided purple (I was like Ok-I think she would like the blue or black better, but your the one paying for it) so when we got outside-she tossed the coat to me and said it was from Mike. She said that since the one that I had last year was way too big and I actually had already given it away (to Megan cuz her pre-maternity one was too small) that he wanted me to have one-and IF I liked them-for her to get me one! I was so thrilled! Yes, so I now have a purple winter coat-with no hat or gloves or anything to match it-LOL...since I bought them to match my coat last yr, which was black and red-kinda like the berber kind with the country scenery on it-the moose and deer-that type.....its really tight on Megan. Not sure she will be able to get it around her belly for the whole winter. Actually I KNOW she wont-LOL.....her belly is getting HUGE!
So today is my 2 yr surgiversary! Im so overwhelmed when I think of how my life has changed. I dont think Im going to get into that right now-cuz I really want to get this posted and get some stuff done around the house today! I will get in my profile later and update. Try to do that on the big dates-like today-LOL.....Im just thankful for all of you! Your the most awesome support team that there is! I would have NEVER imagined when I signed on for this sight-that I would have met some of the most awesome, loving, support people there ever was! It just doesnt seem possible to love so many people the way we all do-and not ask for anything but love and support in return-its so amazing! We share such a common bond-that has taken us from being loners-basically-to being out there for others, and to become a team-its just awesome-and so, at the very least-I want to say, that you mean the world to me-and I love you guys so much!
I would also like to ask for prayer for my hubby and kids-they are all sick-this crud is hanging on-even with the meds. Darrel is the only one is has gotten better with his meds (Thank you, God), but the others just arent! So, I would love prayer for them and I would appreciate it so much....Also-for Megan and her joints. For me and my pain....its pretty bad right now. Please pray that I can find an arthritis doc who is ACCEPTING new pts AND will accept my insurance....Thank you so much! I know with all you prayer warriors on the case-I WILL be able to find one! There is also a young man, who was dx'd with cancer-and is on life support-it doesnt look good and he is just in his early 20s. His grandparents raised him and he is now in St. Louis at Barnes hospital on life support and dying. The cancer is terminal. Please pray for him and for his family. Thanks. I appreciate all the prayers.
Well, I am gonna get this posted. Bec-I pray that you get the new puter all figured out-I wonder WHY it didnt come with an owners manual-my digital camera didnt last yr-I had to go on line and down load it-and then I printed it off-maybe you could do that? Not much going on around here today, as a matter of fact I was lazy today. That hasn't happened in awhile, so it was kind of nice.
Lee and Kala came and spent the night last night and that was a lot of fun. Lee has a really good sense of humor, so he keeps me laughing. Kala had I got to have a really good snuggle session this morning. I sure am going to miss them when they move.
Tiff called a few minute's ago and she said it sure was getting nasty in Monett. I was so hoping they were going to be wrong about the stupid nasty weather but I guess not. I can hardly wait until spring.
Jan yes it's the strapless dress, I love the little jacket that I found to go over it. It makes it look so much nicer. The wedding really isn't going to be all that formal, just formal enough. Kala really isn't big into all the fancy frilly stuff.
Poor Miss Peanut isn't going to be in the wedding. Lee, Fran, and myself were talking about it the day of the shower her grandmother had and Kala's sister Amber over heard us, and now this big huge mess about us replacing Kala's late father with Peanut is going on, and her grandfather said if the dog was in the wedding he wasn't coming. I am so mad and blown away that these people take one little innocent comment and turn it in another direction. Trust me there was never a thing spoke about Greg when we were talking about Peanut. These people have done nothing but cause trouble and thrown little fit's since the kid's have started planning their wedding, and then when they talk to me it really gets out of hand....it's like they don't want me anywhere near my own child. Anyway it's been a battle for them and I'm fixing to put a stop to it. The only reason I haven't is because Kala has asked me not to, but it's coming.
They are not moving right away, they want to finish paying off Kala's new car first and plan to have that done around the middle of the year. Yes, I will miss her something terrible.
I've talked about Larry before, he's my friend that loaned me the shaggin wagon. Sorry no wedding for me LOL we are just really close friend's. He's my best guy friend, but if thing's change I'll let you know. LOL
Janet I sure hope you get out of this pain, and the guy's get to feeling better.

Im on day 5 of liquids...and still doing ok. Keeping busy getting the house ready for christmas and MoM coming. Its hard to keep up though, I feel so weak and tired all the time now, I guess its from not eatting all that sugar and junk....lol. Still trying to get the bathroom done. Just put a coat of paint on and waiting for it to dry, before I do a second coat. DH is putting new blinds up in the kids room....I for the life of me can not understand why kids have to pull down the blind to see out, instead of just opening them....this is the second time for DD and DS 's rooms. DD has since moved out and Mom will be staying in that room so thought I best be getting some new blinds in there before she thinks we are hillbillys....lol Anyway DH is also cleaning carpets today as well. To think about it, sounds like we have never cleaned our house before...lol but you all know how it is before you have company coming...And I bet I'm not going feel like doing much for a little bit after surgery.
Jan...If you havent seen it in any other posts...my surgery is the 9th and Im first in....thanks for the info on potein
Janet...Congrats on your 2 year mark....Ill just be glad to have mine done so as I can get on the damn bench with you all.....lol
Peggy.... I bet you have run yourself ragged this week...girl take some time for your self and relax....You know Im so glad that you opened your house to us all....I sure had a get time meting you and the other girls....I cant help but wonder if thats what got my surgery approved...whats ya think..lol
Bec...You will get the hang of the new computer...those new electronics have so many gadgets that it will take awhile..lol
Susan...It was great to meet you...good luck on getting your surgery schedualed....No I dont think that I will be making it to the Christmas Party...its just a little close to my surgery and Mom and Grandma will still be here...dont know when they will be heading back...But I do want to some time this spring have another get together with everyone...that would be nice....
Well paint should be dry and maybe I can get another coat one before it gets to late.
Has anyone heard from Jeanine? Ive called a few times, but she has been in bed. Sure hope that all is going ok with her. I sure miss her posts....Anyway everyone have a great night and a brighter tomorrow...I have to go back to work...yuck....lol
