WHATS HAPPENING BLACK FRIDAY

We had a wonderful day , couldn’t have ask for anything better. The food all turned out good and the weather was so neat. Before we at Supper  we sat out on the back porch , felt almost like you would want to sunbathe. Lol

Michele brought this pie that , omg...it was an apple pie but had carmel drizzled all over the top and then nuts sprinkled on it ...i didn’t eat any but oh how I wanted too lol

I stuck with the caramel apple salad. And my s.f. pecan pie. And every one loved both of them..

Go on my profile and look at the picture I had my ex daughter in law to take ....is my grandson and Joe and I. I look like I was standing in a hole. lol   my grandson was 22 the other day..and is 6ft 7inches. Lol I come to about his waist .

 

My sweet little great granddaughter was the life of the party she sang and danced for us. A lot .lol    her favorite song is  e-i-e-i-o  that is very good song I guess cause she sang it several times.

 

Well I know you all had a great day too how ever you chose to celebrate it. I was good and at turkey and greenbean casserole, the caramel apple salad,  oh by the way Bec everyone wanted the reciepe...i always judge how good something is by how many people want to know how it is made. . oh yeah I ate a very small piece of s.f. pecan pie later in the day.

 

I think the pain patches are helping with my pain, I sure cant see where they say that they are stonger than oxycontin or morphine,,,they sure don’t make you be crazy like those do me anyway. Also the new arthritis rub that has anti inflammatory meds in its.  My knees are feeling better ...so is my shoulder  and putting the stuff on it gets all over my hands and that makes them feel better and the swelling has went down out of them too.

 

Well going to cut this short tonight ,  will respond to everyone and then call it a night. , hopefully I can get it done. Lol

   

KAREN:::::::: I know you had a great Thanksgiving. Isn’t it neat when one of your kids wants you to teach them something.? I hope your chicken and dumplins turned out great.

 

Cant wait to see the pictures of the grandkids helping...they all can really help cant they .

I had Mikaele was wanting to put things in the dishwasher  then wanted to take them out and wanted to sit things on the table  for me wore me out but we had fun .

Will see if anyone wants to come to youall Christmas Party... don’t know if anyone else will be free.

Bec:::::: your bike ride sounds like lots of fun...and really good exercise. That ought to be a stir it up for the weight loss. Were you tired when you all got done?

I can imagine how sore you are now.   Lol about me cooking that much? I know that happens about once or twice a year. Im really a very good cook just don’t like doing regular meals..love doing big stuff like Thanksgiving and Christmas.

   

SUGAR::::: I love asking that question about what are you most thankful for this past year? We got a lot of answers too. Quite a variety of things depending on ages I think.

I love that caramel apple salad too. That is out of this world. Michele said it tasted like a candy bar. I didn’t put any Splenda in it did you? I thought it was sweet enough.

   

ANDY & SUSAN::::::I know Susan didn’t get  on today but that was cause she was busy.

Next time you have her dad out and there is a need you might see if Joe has anything he could wear. He isn’t very big is he?

 

Im going to be right in there with you on the walking , like has gotten hectic lately don’t know why really but we really do need to make time for ourselves ...

 

I hope your stomach is something that Dr. H will fix. I know he doesn’t do revisions but that wouldn’t be a revision. Boy wonder if that is what it is then will it be just like having the surgery over again for the first time? And you will have the honeymoon phase all over again.....if so you will drop the rest of your weight very very fast ..

   

COR:::::: wow girl not one lick? That is really great. I cant say that but didn’t do too much damage .and didn’t eat very much.

That is great that your mom and greandma are coming up to visit  you. I hope they are all behind you 100%

You never said what date is your surgery now. I got confused on it.  How many days left?I hope this was one of your blessing you remembered yesterday. When it happened it happened fast didn’t it>?

BARBARA  S::::::: that was so sweet to take your dinner and go share with mil I know she really appreciated  it . I made up a big plate of food and too and had Joe to take it to the old guy that lives up the road , he has no family . we had invited him to come down but he said he didn’t want to..

The Chipotle deer was awesome. I made it especially for Carl, Joes brother. He cant sta nd  chicken or turkey lol so it is always a challenge when he visits to find something he will eat because he has a long list of stuff he doesn’t like ..

  

Well as you can see I deleted my first post....i didn’t realize how sleepy and tired I was. But it was a mess and I elimated a lot of people that posted lol . anyway I slept about 2 hours and am back....

 

Has anyone that has ever been on the C-Pap machine had the problem of the thing making you sneeze and sneeze , will wake up with it on still and trying to sneeze , have you ever done that ? aint easy lol  then I have to take something for allergies to get it calmed down again.  Im calling the guy that brought it out to see what he says...it is just weird I think.

Good morning sis and all in OH land!

Hope no one is regretting what you ate yesterday! (like me) I guess I didnt overeat too much just ate alot of things that I would have been better off without. LIKE too much of that carmel apple salad...OH MAN that stuff is goooooooood!!! lol

We all ate and ate and ate...as soon as one round was over there was someone in the kitchen eating something else again...It reminded me of when we all went to mamas for Thanksgiving and how we all just stood around and grazed all day. The grandkids kept coming in wanting just a little more of this or that... Sure made me miss my mama and daddy....I know that some day when I see them again, I am going to thank them for the life I had as a kid and the security I always felt.

Well I didnt get up and go fight the crowds this morning. I just decided that whatever savings there might be at hand wasnt worth the hassle. Someone will have a good sale price on the things Im interested in. Ive about decided to buy us a new lcd tv and I want a new digital camera. The stores this year will surely give some good bargains in the next 4 weeks.

Well gang have a great day and enjoy the sales if that is what you are doing...

I guess I will go pack and get ready for my trip.

Good Morning All,

 

So glad to hear that everyone had a good turkey day yesterday.  Andy and I did have a good time with my dad,  he was so thankful that we brought him out to the house, he really loves getting out and seeing things,  it has to be tough sometimes being cooped up in the nursing home and all.  We don’t have much going on today, not going to venture out to the shops just to crowded and crazy today.  Woke up this morning and it was pouring down rain, was really surprised and it didn’t seem to get as cool over night as it has been, guess we are in for a cold spell this weekend tho. 

 

Jan when Joe came over yesterday he is looking really good, glad he is recovering nicely.  Your daughters little dogs she brought are just so cute,  they are fast little boogers lol,  seen one of them crawling up under the brown shed in the back and it looked like rebel was out there trying to scold it and tell it to get out of there hahaha it was so cute!  I didnt think  to ask Joe if he had something old for my dad to wear,  i'll remember that next time, thanks.

 

Cor seems like your surgery date is coming fast,  so glad you were a good girl and didn’t even take one bite, that’s will power.  I can’t wait for my surgeons appointment, hopefully before I know it I’ll have a date too, I am so ready.

 

Im gonna try and start walking with  Jan and Andy, don’t know how far I will get but I know I need to start so that when it does come time for surgery I’ll be able recover and walk better afterwards.

Good Morning Jan and Everyone
 WHEW good grief i bet i never get up at 4 am and go to Walmart ever again.It was crazy. Lil old grandmas in there pushing,shoving and running over my heels with their carts. Peolpe cussing out store employees, It was a mad house.And the checkout lines were horrible.Had to park in the country and walk to the store LOL. Parking lot was so full had to park way way away from the store.Laura and I got there she takes off her coat in the truck ,We take a deep breath and go in. Didn't know we was gonna need full body armor just to shop LOL.But we got what we went for so all was good.
Gonna go get the Christmas tree this afternoon. Was gonna do it tomorrow but today is suppose to be 50 and tomorrow colder.So decided today would be better. Takes Nikki and I forever to pick the perfect tree as she says LOL.
Turned the lights and stuff on lastnight and had tons of people drove by ,a couple even stopped and walked through the yard. A lil boy probably around 2 was so excited going through the yard. Was glad we could make people happy.
Laura and I cooked all day yesterday. But we did really good on not eating alot. Actually we didn't hardly eat anything.But we did try a lil of everything. We are proud of ourselves for not over eating and getting sick.I made homemade hotrolls and homemade noodles.I had a nibble of each.And it was enough.Grouchy pouchy works great LOL.
Hope everyone had a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.I have a box that is called my blessings box,I write down things everyday that i am thankful for and put them in the box ,then if i'm having a bad day i can go to it and read them,Helps me to refocus.

I was so tired last night but, it was a good tired

Been shopping on-line today. Bought some great buys and didn't have to fight for them!!! Even purchased some specials early last night. That was fun.

Well, need to take all the large meal cooking utensils out to storage this morning. Don't use them much so keep them out of the way. Then house will finally be back to normal.

If your out shopping, hope you come home safe and with lots of bargain's! If your home like I am....good for you!!

Good morning, Missouri!

Hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving....the weather was awesome!  Little gray today so back to the normal winter weather.

We had a quiet but productive day.  Managed to get the rest of my outside decs up, now I just need to get my own cords so I won't use all of Mark's.  Then we'll see how everything looks.  I added lights on the front (even climbed the ladder by myself!) and a 5 ft wreath w/lights between the front bedroom windows.  We have to get out today...sigh.  I need my cords and Mark needs paint to finish the front bow window...then the windows will be complete.  I also have a hair appt this afternoon and I can't wait.  If it turns out good, I want to post a new profile pic. 

Talked to my mom yesterday and she is still so sick.  I am starting to get worried and fussed at her to please get to the doctor.  She's been sick for over 6 weeks now and just isn't getting any better.  She's all I have left now and I really don't want to lose her.  I've had enough death in the last year and a half.  So if she's too sick to travel I won't be going to the family reunion in Salina tomorrow.  Seeing her is about the only reason I go...I like visiting with my extended family but if I can't see her it's not worth the trip.  We'll see.

I have determined that I graze way too much and it was too easy yesterday.  I'll get the rest of the junk out of the house and it shouldn't be an issue.  But dinner was good and not too much...I didn't cook as much since it was just us three.  And I even sent some food home for the boy & his roommate.

Looks like all of you spent some good time with your families yesterday.  Deb (Pooh)...I love the idea of the thankful box.  I may have to steal that idea.  I have difficulty in my counseling that I am making any progress and I bet if I wrote down what has been accomplished it would help me see how far the Lord has brought me.  Good idea.

What a great day we had yesterday.  My daughter Jade and I cooked all day long and had my family over.  I was watching everyone pile all the food on their plates, who could blame them, it all looked so good.  Me with my green bean ( yes one green bean) and a little piece of ham.  Anyway when everyone was done eating I said...Is everyone miserable?  YES they say and I say good ha ha just kidding them since I can't eat. This was the first Thanksgiving I can ever remember not thinking why did I eat all of that or thinking all day I bet I gained 5 lbs. I love the feeling, its better than any food.  Good times!   Then I went to Walmart today at 4:30, they had LEI jeans for 8 $  I had to have some of them.  Then my wow moment, I didn't really know what size to get before surgery I was a 26/28, the jeans I have now are a 24 but baggy, BUT OMG I tried on a 20 and they fit perfect!  I was so excited.  The dressing room lady was giving me high 5's and she had no idea why, just that I was so excited.  HAHA it was funny.  So despite the crowd being crazy and getting my heels ran over a couple of times.  It was a great morning.  I'm glad everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!  Looks like I need to try this Carmel apple salad.  How did I miss it? Hello Everyone,
 Sorry it's been so long since I've posted but it's been crazy busy around here, and I know it's going to be worse this week with the wedding being a week away.
 We had Kala and Lee's wedding shower last week and then right after that (the same day) we had a little Thanksgiving here for just the kid's and I. It was such an awesome day. I love having all my kid's here with me.
 The Tiff and I had mammograms done on Monday. She has found 2 good sized lump's on her breast so she has an ultra sound and mammo both. Knowing she was scared and nervous about it, I had one with her. So that eased her nerve's up a little. So far the lady said her ultra sound looked clear (THANK YOU LORD), but we are still waiting for the result's of the mammo.
 Larry came in Wednesday and OMG it was so good to see him. His first stop was at my house and even though it was only for about 3 hours it was nice. Then him, Kayela, and Fran (his mom) came to my family dinner yesterday. It was so great having them there. Kayela stayed the night at my niece's house, and Larry came back here so we could have some time together. I sure wish we would have had more time today together but he has so much stuff to get done in the short time he's home. I can't wait until he's back home for Christmas then he will have 3 weeks home. WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!
 I'm so sorry I didn't make it to the get together at Peggy's, I sure missed seeing and meeting all of you. Thank you so much Bec for the cute scarecrow, you are so talented, and thank you Sugar for the awesome bag of goodies. You ladies are so sweet. I love you both.
 Even though I missed the trip, I had such a wonderful awesome time with my angel and bestest friend Janet. She is such a true beautiful wonderful person. I'm so truly blessed with just knowing her. I finally got to meet her husband or I should say spend a little time with her husband and other son Darrel who are just as sweet and awesome as she is. It was great meeting her family and spending time with them. THANK YOU SO MUCH JANET.
And for lil man Jon I had a great time with him, he is so SWEET. Although I didn't get a hug from him he did blow me a kiss bye, and that was just as good as a hug, I still felt special.
 Janet and I had the best time shopping. I'm not a real big fan of shopping and I have honestly never had a day of just looking and trying on clothes, but I had the BEST time. I'm even looking forward to doing it again and hopefully soon.
 I had a huge wow moment while shopping with her. Janet found a NICE outfit, and kept telling me to try it on, and I was like Hun it's a 2x there is no way it will fit, and she's like come on just try it on, please for me...OK I can't say no to her, so I try it...and OMG I wanted to cry right there it fit and looked good. Janet thought the pants were to big and they are a little but it was so comfortable it just had to come home with me. Thank you sis for making me try it.
 
 Bec once again thank you so much for the beautiful gift, I show it off every time someone comes over, I think I even showed a few people 3 or 4 times.

 Sugar thank you for the goodie bag I'm not sharing that with anybody else though. LOL
The black dress you gave me was so very beautiful and it did fit, keyword there was DID. It's a little big on me now, so I will bring it back to you at the next meeting. I posted the dress I will be wearing, so if you want to take a look please let me know what you think. Thank you so much for letting me try the other one.

Janet my dear friend I so can't wait to see you, I love you and love the time we spend together. I hope you can make it down this week, we are decorating the cakes I believe on Wednesday and then rehearsal Friday. I hope you can make it. Kala and Lee are so happy you are a part of the wedding. She told me the other night she is so thankful to you for doing it, and that she loves her Special Aunt Janet.

 I hope EVERYONE had a blessed Thanksgiving, and got to spend it with the ones they love. I know as I looked around the room at both of our dinners and looking and seeing each one of my family members laughing and visiting that I was truly BLESSED many times over.
