WHATS HAPPENING FOR THANKSGIVING DAY
Wasn’t today just luscious? Got to 68 over here..wish winter could be like that all the time..could grow stuff at that temp lol anyway I spent as much time outside as I could in between getting things ready to cook tomorrow. Have a lot of things put together and ready for the oven . will put the turkey on early...i made the chipotle beef that Peggy had at our gettogether but I use deer. And it is soo ooooo good. That is for anyone that doesn’t want the turkey...have my stuffing all mixed together, my green beans all mixed, my sweet potatoes baked and ready to peel and mash then get hot again. Also making mashed potatoe and gravy for those that want it. I will eat a bite or two of the turkey and some baked sweet potatoes. That will probably be all I can get down. Have my pecan pie that sugar makes mixed and in the pan. Will pop it in the oven right after I take the turkey out. Got my realish tray done and wrapped and in the frig. Made the apple carmel salad oh so yummy . oh yeah have Mrs Smith pumpkin pies I will have to put in some time I guess I can do them at the same time as the pecan pie...this is the time I wish I had two ovens ...you run out of room really fast in a regular one. How do you all do it? Do you let the turkey get cooled off while you do everything else .
We are suppose to have another pretty warm day tomorrow to I think....i spent an hour on the back porch with the sun coming in on me reading and went to sleep lol felt so good ...
I will have 16 people here if they all show up tomorrow...i know everyone will except don’t ever count Joe neice till she shows up lol shes not very dependable ....
Well this isn’t very long since I didn’t do much today except put things together and cook. I have my ref. loaded down with that is all prepared just needs to be cooked.
im going to get my responses done so I can get to bed . Ive been up since 5 am and ready to hit the hay. Lol
ANDY:::::: what did the doctor say about your swollen legs? You think it could be because you haven’t been walking as much as we were?
Yes Joes brother did get in . and Joe is doing a little better than yesterday. . the swelling in his neck seems to have gone down some. I have been making him sleep with his head elevated. And that seems to help..he is still complaining about the pain that feels like a headache in the back of his neck...muscle rub and Tylenol seems to help ...
Im so happy for Susan and how her surgery seems to be goi ng along well.
You know if your stomach and pouch have re joined Dr. H could do that . it isn

Most any computer does pictures. If they are new enough , yours probably did to at one time till the stuff on the internet got so strong and took more power from your computer than it had really so something has to give and it is programs that quit working so other things can work. Does that make sense?
You silly goose about the pain patches, I said I wonder what would happen if you put them all over you , don’t need to tho since it goes into the blood stream. Any way you might have death by patches lol

I must have written that wrong about thanksgiving dinner. Yes I eat some turkey and sweet potato (baked) while all of them stuff theirselves , not going to miss that. That horrible feeling will take a tiny bite of the dressing and of the cranberry sauce . then later after the pies are finished baking I will have a piece a small piece even tho it is all sugar free. Cant wa
it. Yummy
oh wow you made me remember that I hadn’t made any deviled eggs , so I have them cooking as I type. Lol
they told me on the pain patches that it takes a good 24 hours for it to get into your system then you change them every 3rd day.
The patches come in 25-50]and 100 mgs.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING JAN IT INDEED WAS A NICE DAY I DIDIN'T EVEN KEEP WOOD STOVE GOIGN I LET GO OUT AND WILL HAVE HUBBY TAKE ASHES OUT TODAY. WENT AND DONE ALL MY SHOPPING TUES . AND GOT HOME 11 ;30 PM GOT IN BED 1; 30 AM WAS BACK UP 4:30 AM STARTED COOKING MY CHICKEN FOR THE DUNPLINGS AND DOING ALL MY BAKING SO I WOULDN'T HAVE IT ALL TO DO TADAY CUZ WE WILL HAVE LUCH AT NOON TODAY. MY DAUGHTER IN LAW COME OVER YESTERDAY EVENING AND WE NADE THE DUMPLINGS SHE WANTED ME TO TEACH HER TO MAKE DUMPLINGS I THINK SHE DECIDE IT WAS A LOTT OF WORK LOL AND I ALREADY HAD CHICKEN COOKED COOLED AND DEBONED MY MOTHER - IN - LAW HELPE DEBONE IT. BUT I SHOWED HER HOW AND SHE MADE THEM AND I TOLD HER FROM NOW ON THAT WAS HE JOB GABRIELLE & KADEN HELPED US TEAR THE A PART GABRIELLE WAS PUTTING THEM BACK IN TO THE FLOUR BOWL AFTER TEARING HERS INTO I GOT PICYURES OF THEM.

WELL JAN IT IS NOW 5;45 \\\ GO JUMP IN BATH AND GET STARTED FOR THE DAY I DIDN'T SIT DOWN UNTILL LIKE I THINK 930 1000 Last night only slept like 2 .5 or 3 hrs night before last.i don't slept as nuch nown since wls but little more then that 4.5 to 6 hrs and i am good to go .

Well, THIS may be the shortest post I have ever done-because we have so much going on this morning and Steph is here and we are busy as beavers getting stuff done for today. I dont want to spend a lot of time posting because SHE even LEFT HER LAPTOP at her grandmas!!!! That was a SHOCK!!!! LOL!
We are having such a wonderful time!! Totally delightful~Im so PLEASED and so HAPPY!!!! Jon has been attached to her hip since we picked her up-even when we were watching movies last night-he was leaning on her side while he was watching them-using her as a pillow-and INSISTED that they lay next to each other on the floor-then she HAD to sit BY HIM while they ate dinner and then they made a fort in the family room and slept in there next to each other!!!! Its WAY too cute!
Jan-I wanted to have my tummy tuck done before the end of November-but between the pain and everything else going on-it just wasnt meant to be. I WILL be calling Dr. Hawes office.... I WILL!!! I just have had soooo much going on and my #1 goal has been TRYING to get out of all this pain-thats it!

Good Thanksgiving Morning Missouri!
Oh boy been up and out to walk... it took longer this morning guess all the exercise yesterday has my SORE bootie dragging! ~tee hee
Oh boy oh boy oh boy did I have a WONDERFUL time yesterday! It was just an incredible amount of fun! Paul loaded up all our bikes and we drove to Rochport and got on the Katy Trail and went 7.4 miles east to Huntsville, Hunstdale, (not sure what Hunts? ~ha) then we came back and went thru Rochport to the tunnel and looked around there... all in all we rode 16 miles!!!
Paul got the bright idea to take off his belt and hook my bike to Jo's and it would be like riding a two seater..... boy was that FUN!!! I didn't have to work near as hard!!!! ~tee hee but did have to work faster to keep up with her! I think we went about 4 miles of the trip like that... then at one point Paul and Jo did a little rock climbing... ~ha I kept my fat feet flat on the ground! I hope I got some good pics of them though..... the cliffs were on one side and the river on the other... it was a beautiful stretch of the trail! We seen lots and lots of animals, it was great! We were blessed that we did not have any flat tires and mechanical difficulties to speak of.
We rode 4 hours straight besides for the times we stopped and looked around a bit... Tito was in Paul's basket and he was in his element! Right up front leading the troop! He was pretty serious about it too!
I now have saddle sores!!! Ouch...but I told Peg that it was worth every bit of the pain I'm in today for all the fun we had! It's not even as bad as I thought it would be.
Well the turkey is done and now I have to get in there and make the rest of the meal.... we are going to go to bed early tonight as we will be in line between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. for the computer sale in the morning! Can't believe I'm going to do that but it's what you have to do if we are to get a good deal... one of us is going to stand in front of Best Buy and one in front of Circut City and hopefully if one does not get the deal the other one will... if not we sure did waste some cold standing time!

Hello and Happy Turkey Day to all of you gobblers and hens out there!
What a glorious day this has been. We ate at noon and then went out side and set in the yard and talked about what we are grateful for. We heard everything from our Lord and his saving grace to fishing and dogs and houses and health and being able to see Christ in the worship of teens at a Third Day concert....Ember,my oldest grand daughter (13) was grateful for the privledge of being able to worship God how ever we felt we should. Christian (14) was thankful his dad was in re-hab and drawing closer to the Lord. It was fun and such a good time together.
Of course my gratitude was for the wonderful vacation we took this year as well as for my health...
After all that fun, we came back into the house and set around and played catch phrase. That game is so much fun. The grandkids are really getting good at it.
Tomorrow we take off for Oklahoma to my friends wedding. Rick will get up in the morning and go to Bass Pro with a couple of his buddies first....
Im praying that all of you have had a wonder filled and God blessed day. And didnt eat too much. I have ate alot of the smoked ham and alot of Bec's carmel apple salad. MAN that stuff is good. My grandkids loved it! Ember made sf banana pudding this morning too and we had a sweet potato pie and a pumpkin pie and one of my big ole choc cakes. What a mess of desserts.

Hope everyone has had a good and blessed day. We've had a good day, kind of quiet but good. Susan went this morning and picked her dad up, he really enjoyed his time away, he was in awe of the lake and where we lived, he kept saying he wished he could live down here, bless his heart there's just no way we could take care of him anymore, as it was he had an accident and we had to scramble to find some clothes to put on him, found some old clothes of mine that were way to big on him but it worked. We had a nice lunch then Susan took him back, since then we've had a quiet time relaxing and reflecting on what the Lord has done for us, its amazing when you think about the things the Lord brings you through.
Yesterday I went to my PCP, my blood pressure was perfect, dunno why its been running high the last week or so, he put me back on lasix to see if that will help the swelling in my legs, im gonna get out and start walking again tomorrow, I know that has have something to do with my legs swelling some, I have got to get back to being faithful about walking cold or not, I get lazy like that and its hard to get back motivated again. Im just waiting now for MoBar to call with my appointments for the test they want, he's ordered an EDG or something like that and an Upper GI and Cat Scan, the Cat Scan i'll have done here but the other 2 i have to have done in columbia then they can determine exactly whats up and get it fixed. If it is in fact a Fistula I'll see about contacting Dr. H about getting it fixed.
Well I hope everyone has a blessed evening, Im gonna go watch some tv, for those braving the shopping malls tomorrow becareful, its gonna be a crazy madhouse out there im sure.

Cooked all the normal fixens for thanksgiving and DID NOT...I repeat...DID NOT taste a thing....man try cooking a dinner like that and not taste anything....DH and son had to taste for me...of course they liked that...lol I really thought that today's cooking would bother me but you know what it didnt not one bit. Did have to catch myself a few times with tasteing or haveing something on my fingers and went to lick them...but caught myself and was a good girl.
Sat down with everyone at the table and they dug in and had me a slim fast....oh yum....lol but thats ok
I hope everyone is doing good on the wonderful evening and are not too uncomfortable from the fixens today.
Well got some news today...MoM and Grandma is coming up to visit for the month of Dec....She will be driving up on Sat and we will meet her in Springfield and she will follow us up to home here....this is a big step for her...7 years ago she didnt even drive....dad always took her everywhere...but now he is gone...she didnt have much of a choice. Im excited for her to be coming...except now Im running around trying to get my house cleaned and ready....you know....MOMs coming...oh hell gota get everything clean and pretty...lol anyway it will be nice to see her.
She said that she wanted to be here for my surgery just incase something happen....I tolded her not to worry...I have a HOLE lot of angels watching out for me....!!!!

I am so thankful for everyone on the board. I hope you all had a great day, I know we did. After the cooking was done, we took dinner for 8 to the nursing home where my MIL lives and boy was she surprised! She looked so sad sitting in her wheel chair when we first arrived. Bless her heart she is legally blind now so sees very little. We took, turkey, dressing, lettuce salad, twice baked sweet potatoes (sugar free), mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, dinner rolls, and of course three sugar free pies, pumpkin mousse, banana cream, and chocolate. I had turkey, and a couple bites of dressing, and 1/2 small sweet potatoe. It was the most I had seen my MIL eat all year. She was so happy and in turn we were too. What a great day!
We also had a friend of ours a young man with no family around come an made himself a plate to take home while we went to see my MIL and then he came back and had supper and dessert with us later in the day. I was happy we could be his family today.
Corrine, I am so proud of YOU! You do have your eye on the prize!

Extended Tummy Tuck with KU Residency Program
01/08/2010 ....Lost another 7 lbs with TT.
Well, it's been an interesting couple of days. Yesterday, dh grouted the tile. What a mess it was to clean up. Then we changed out all the electrical plugs with black ones and brushed satin nickel outlets. We have 3 GFI's and about 8 other outlets in my kitchen. David worked and worked on them and couldn't get them to work. I thought we were going to have to reschedule Thanksgiving. I finally went into Lowe's and bought another GFI and thankfully it all worked! God is GOOD! We finished cleaning the kitchen around 10pm last night. We were all exhausted!
This morning, I got up and made all the fixings for Thanksgiving dinner. DH fired up the new Turk N Surf and he deep fried two turkeys. They were delicious! Everyone loved them. I love my new stove, it has two ovens which really came in handy today.
All the kids were here except for Luke. He left Tuesday to visit his girlfriend, Becca, in Texas. He called early this morning. He's having a great time. Becca still lives at home with her Mom, Dad and sisters. I have to admit, it was strange not having my first born here with me. I missed him! He will be home Sunday afternoon. Erin's boyfriend came too. My Mom came, however, Dad's arthritis has been really bad lately. He can barely walk. He's going to have to go to another specialist. Please keep him in your prayers. He's also going to have cancer removed from his nose and that part of his nose reconstructed on 12/31/08. They said the surgery would be between 3 and 6 hours. So that's were I'll be at this New Year's Eve.
I've started laundry tonight. We need to do a small area of grout and to seal the tile. DH is exhausted and wants to take the "day off" tomorrow. I just may let him! lol!
He has an interview with Johnson County Public Works on Tuesday. Not sure if it's the right job for him, but would be a secure one and has great benefits including KPER's. So please pray for the Lord's will to be done. Would be close to home too.
Mama Jan - how was your Chipotle Deer Meat? I hope it was good. Glad to hear Joe's brother got there and that Joe is doing better. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. As soon as we get the kitchen handles on the cabinets I will take the pics and post both the before and after ones.
Bec - Hope you get that new computer you want! Have you decided on a laptop? I know you will love having an up to date computer. Will make a big difference. Wow, what a bike ride ya all took! Hope those pictures turned out. Sounds like you had a great day with Paul and AJ and of course Tito.

Peggy - Hope you enjoyed the time with your boys. Sometimes we just need so time alone with family. I miss those times with my boys. I think we're going to reinstate the Family Game night. We used to play board games with the kids all the time. Haven't done that in a long time. I just bought the new Yahtzee game. It's a new version and sounds like fun.
Sugar - What's the name of that game again? I just may have to pick that one up for Christmas for the family. Your day sounds wonderful. It's nice to take the time to count our blessings. I think we'd be happier if we did that every day and just not on Thanksgiving. We have so much to be grateful for.
Cor - I'm proud of you! I'm not at all certain I could have cooked all that I did today and NOT take ONE BITE of it! You do have your eyes on the prize! How's the smoking? I will continue to keep your in my prayers. December 9th is your surgery date - correct?
