WHATS HAPPENING FOR WEDNESDAY
Oh my goodness wasn’t it beautiful out today....no wind and sun too. Got up to 60 here ...and tomorrow is suppose to be the same only warmer...I have been trying to get some prep work done today for my dinner Thursday. I told Joe that for someone that wont eat even a bite of some of it , it sure is fun to do it. I have notice the tasting but I now taste and then spit it out and rinse my mouth...so this way I can get the taste right and not gain from it.
One of Joes brothers is suppose to be up tonight to visit during thanksgiving. We thought he was suppose to be here about 4 pm but he hasn’t arrived yet, we are beginning to wonder where he is?
There are some that will be here for dinner Thursday that don’t like turkey so I am making the chipotle meat that Peggy had up there only im using deer...i had it soaking in meat tenderizer all day and hope it will be good , don’t know how it couldn’t be since deer meat is good . but wont tell anyone until they have eaten it.
Went over to the trailer today and did some cleaning but will get the rest of it done tomorrow. Stripped the bed today and washed the sheets , they were clean but it has been about two months since I put them on so I wanted to freshen them up...cleaned the bathroom over there today and put out fresh towels ...swept the floors and dusted. So all I have to do tomorrow is re make the bed and move some stuff around. .
Boy from now till Christmas will go by like the speed of light I think , it always does.
I have been putting up a lot of little things to make way for Christmas knick knacks and candles and such that we all have out for Christmas.
Lot of work for one day isn’t it? Lol
I guess I better get my responses done cause im getting so sleepy I wont be able to finish..
BEC:::::::oh wow last night was such a great meeting. I love it when we have a full house like that.
Joe neck started swelling today sort of scared me , I called the office of his surgeon and the nurse said it wasn’t uncommon , to sleep with his head elevated. And to not worry about it unless he started not being able to swallow ...but he is doing ok other than that.
Has only taken 2 pain pills since we have been home. Just still keep him in your prayers for his healing . thanks.
It really was a good day for the ride and hope tomorrow will be as good.
SUGAR:::::: well did you find out anything from the church? Did you find you a new refrigerator? Sears has some good buys right now and probably most places do actually.
I just know the party is going to be super duper fun ....thanks for taking this on.
SUSAN::::: im so glad I have you for a neighbor. And friend....and hopefully you will be joining us on the losers bench soon. Isnt that amazing how you got right in for an appointment with DrFearring...amazing.

You know your mom sounds like she has the mental disease that a person is afraid to leave their house...dont remember the name but it is real and can happen at any time in your life ....and for no reason...will keep praying for her and also for Sheila too and her collar bone.
My doctor said that I wouldn’t notice any pain relief for at least 24 hours and could be 48 hours and then after that it should stay at that level...she said if this one isn’t quite strong enough we had the option of going up to as much as 100 mg patches.
I would imagine that would be what you started at. Wasn’t it? They say this is stronger than lots of stuff , heavy stuff. But so far I don’t feel any odd feelings just the pain level is dropping...instead of a 8 it is probably a 6 now. I can live with that. Oh the cream , no isn’t just actually is a nasid. I can really tell the difference ...the joints are moving better ....
TAMMY-AMMY;;;;; lol I went to dial Hughes Net to find out something today and some how I got Tammy on the phone...lol so we just talked for awhile. She said she was being really busy...
Oh Tammy I forgot to tell you that I have you a bunch of seeds all sorted out and will send them to you before long. ...then if you don’t know what something is you will have time to google it ....

Good Morning Y’all,
My what a nice day it turned out to be yesterday, wi**** would stay like that all winter long, I’d sure be happy but for some reason I doubt its gonna stay that way long lol. We went to the thanksgiving lunch at the nursing home with Susan’s dad, had a really nice time. They had separate tables set up all over the nursing home for each family, that way each resident got to eat and visit with their family member individually, it was really nice and the lunch was really good, I was surprised, for a nursing home they have decent food. We got home after that and didn’t really do much, I started getting a couple things ready for thanksgiving, we’re gonna go get her dad and bring him out here for the day, he is really looking forward to that, I dunno how long he will be able to go out like that so we want to do it now before he cant anymore.
Today I have an appointment with my PCP got a couple issues I need to get resolved, one being my legs are still swelling and I dunno why, I researched the blood pressure medicine the cardiologist put me and I read where one of the side effects is leg swelling, last time I saw him my legs were fine and now they are swollen again, been like that a few weeks now, im so tired of it and my blood pressure the last week or so has been high again, geeze cant these doctors find something that I can take that will not cause leg swelling and make my b/p go down? I also have a script to get a Cat Scan done for Dr. Suttemoller in Columbia so I gotta see of my PCP will set that up so I can get that done before I go back to Columbia on Dec 9.
Susan is still so excited about getting her first Surgeons appointment so early and with the actual Surgeon, Dr. Fearring. Susan also got her Pysc. Eval all set up and will have it out of the way by the time she has to go back to
***Jan*** Is how is Joe feeling? I really hope better. Did Joe’s brother arrive ok? I assume that’s who pulled in last night. You don’t know how much of a blessing it is for us to be living here and we are sooooo proud and excited to be your friend and neighbor, we really feel so blessed here. I know God has a lot of stuff in store for us its just really slow in coming but I really think He is trying to teach us patience since we been living here. Things are falling into place slowly but surely.

Good Wednesday Morning Missouri,
Well when we got up yesterday morning and listened to the weather we decided to put off the trail ride till today ....it is to be a perfect day! sunny 55 and not much wind! This is great!
Bet I will be sore sore sore tomorrow for the cooking! So we piddled around yesterday and went to town, got some books at the library and a few last minute ingredients at the store.... I will be set... have to run up in a few minutes and get a paper so I can have the ads to see about a computer.... I sure hope they have a good deal on one that passes Jo's approval.... she is my expert on the situation... ~ha I'm so challenged when it comes to that kind of thing.... I know I want it to do pictures so I can send you all things when I want to.... I will be looking at a digital camera some time in the near future too.
Mimi ~ I bet I am going to wish I had those pain patches stuck all over my body by the end of the day! ~tee hee Yes Paul will be going with us as he is the "mechanic" if something should go wrong.... ~ha And he is just chomping at the bits to put Tito in his basket and take him along!!!
Barb S. can you send me the address of that Christmas store that you were talking about with someone recently? I might just have the chance to go there on Friday. Did you and Vesta get to go? Oh how fun it was you got to meet up with her! It just thrills me when any of us get to be together! I'm like you it makes me happy for days.... I'm still just as pleased as I can be about the get together at Peggy's!

Just sitting here enjoying the warm sunshine, drinking protein coffee and nursing a headache. I hope I'm not getting sick...hubby has had the chest stuff and I really don't want it. I think I'm just tired and cranky so I'll get up & moving here in a bit. Can't decide what to do, tho. I have some errands to run and then I would love to get some of my outdoor Christmas decs up. Since it is so nice that's probably what I'll do. But I still need to wash my curtains, too. Oh well, believe it or not, it will all get done!
I love to see how many are having family and friends for the holiday. We opted to just have our son come over for dinner tomorrow. I'm tired and don't feel like doing a lot of entertaining on Thursday. So Mark's aunt will have to find someplace else to go. And that's ok, she has lots of people inviting her over to their homes so she can choose whichever appeals to her. I just need one day at home with my boys.
I have a cousin that leads a lifestyle that is not healthy and she is quite vocal about her choice. That's fine but I get tired of getting blasted for disagreeing with her choice. She tears us all to shreds for our beliefs but then expects us to accept hers without saying anything. Sorry, that's not fair. If she wants us to be tolerant of her choice, then she has to be tolerant of ours. But she doesn't see it that way so she gets on our family page and starts a bunch of stuff. But I've done well and kept my mouth shut. I don't want to start arguing with her because it will just cause her to become militant. I may have to post later, after I gain a calmer head and correct her thinking on a few things, but until then she'll just have to run her mouth. It's funny tho, she went on to try and start an arguement but nobody will argue with her, they just keep telling her they love her even tho they disagree with her. Not what she expected.
Well, I really need to get my face on, get some clothes on and get started on my list. A lot to do and no time to do it.

Dear Auntie Jan and OH Family~
Happy Day!!! As I sit here and type this morning, something is happening within me-that I havent felt in a long, long time~and I am, as Bec would say-Simply overjoyed by it! I am soooo excited! I am on a cloud today, and I had decided yesterday, that I wasnt going to let ANYTHING get in the way of having a good time with Stephanie AND the family-NOTHING!
My pain has been pretty intense this past week-more so than usual, and nothing, not even doubling up on the big dogs (big pain pills) are working. Thank goodness I have an appt with the pain management doc soon and I am praying buckets and buckets that she doesnt say that there is nothing else they can do for me. I simply am NOT going to live like this anymore-and I do NOT care if "I" have to do all of the research and ground work myself. Something MUST be done and so I guess I will just HAVE to find the strength to deal with this and I know the Lord will guide me in the way I need to go. I KNOW he will....... With that being said-I decided that not even the pain is going to keep me from enjoying my kids this weekend. Im NOT.....So....I had this big old to-do list yesterday and when I had gone outside to go to the laundry room-man, the sun was shining-and it felt good-IT WAS SO WINDY HERE THO!!! They said NO WIND on the weather in the morning-LIARS!!! So, I said to hell with the list-we arent going to have many more nice days AND the fresh air would do Jon and I both some good!....I took Jons hoody and put it on him-to make sure his ears were covered, we grabbed some apples and we walked over to the neighbors (1/2 mile away) to feed the horses. We do that occasionally, and 3 of the 5 horses WILL come to the fence and take the apples right out of our hands-and then they will take grass and stuff too.... When we got there, the horses were no where to be found...darn it...so-we walked back-and decided we were going to take the apples to our valley and leave them out for the deer (deer LOVE apples) and we have a camera out there that takes pics of them eating-so we will get to see them eat the apples... Jon was VERY disturbed while we were walking at all the litter in the ditches-both sides. He kept asking Mommy-WHY would somebody just throw their trash out the window instead of putting it in a trash can? Its hard to explain to a child WHY SOME people are so inconsiderate. Its hard for him to understand that there are people out there that are so rude....We didnt have anything to put the trash in at the time, so we are going back out today and pick up the ditches between here and the horses......Anyway-as we were coming up from the valley from leaving the apples-we saw the mailman-so off we walked down to the mailbox (that we had just passed twice!-LOL) and got the mail....Jon and I walked almost 2 miles yesterday. THEN......when Mike got home from work-we had gone out on the 4 wheeler-Jon, Mike and I-to get the ground blind, the decoy and chair etc-and bring them home-and we ran out of gas on the 4 wheeler. Mike cant even hardly walk right now, and has his own appt with his ortho-for some syn visk shots-so I volunteered to walk to the Morton Building (by my house) and get the gas can and go back...so I walked another 1/2 mile-and in record time too!!! By the time I got home tho-that was it for the rest of the night. I couldnt even clean the kitchen after dinner!!!
When we went to Erik and Vikkis to take the 4 wheeler back-their daughter dropped her little son off-the one who shares my b-day and will be one the day after Christmas...Tanya said he was going to throw a fit when she left-well, I was holding him and loving on him and he cried for like 2 seconds and that was it! He was snuggling with me and then I fed him dinner....after every single bite-he was smacking his mouth together making that smacking noise and I was busting up-and every time I would laugh-he would smile great big-and then food was coming out his mouth-and before I could even wipe it off-he was wiping it off with his little arm-and then it was all over him and me!!! What a sight! He is literally one of the best behaved, happy babies I have ever seen-ever!! He has been since day 1. He never cries-he just sits around and takes it all in-very observant-happy little guy. I just had a blast last night and when I had to give him to his nana so I could go home and start dinner, he cried and cried and made the most awful face at Vikki!!! That sure made me feel good! LOL....So-I get to babysit him sometime Friday or Saturday since Erik and Vikki had plans before Tanya called for them to babysit! Im so excited about that. Will give me some practice for the grand-daughter that will be arriving soon!! YAY!!! I just cannot wait!
Anyway-yesterday, out here-it was very windy-as usual lately-and the idiot across the street, who has had the fire department out 2 different times we know of-because he doesn****ch the fires he starts-has caught grandmas yard (to his east) and then their neighbor across the street to the north-on fire, well-guess what? He caught the neighbors yard to his south on fire yesterday and that neighbor told him that IF he burns one more time and its windy OR he catches anyone elses property on fire again-HE was going to make sure that they didnt have a place to live!!! I was cracking up-cuz Im sorry-the guy is a pure, #1 IDIOT! IF he watched the fires once he started them, fine-BUT...he doesnt! Thank goodness-when Jon and I went to feed the horses, grandma said she HAD to run to town to run a couple of errands and had been waiting because of this guy-so I told her that I would go out and check it like every 10-15 minutes and thats what I did. Since I live on top of the hill/slope-I could see perfectly-so I saw it when it started to the neighbors house on the south and called them......Oh boy-talk about M A D! I could hear that guy yelling from here-which I dont blame him-about 30 feet from where the fire was-he has a WHOLE BARN full of hay/straw-the big circle ones-for his cattle! He was HOT!!! (no pun intended).
Well, I better get the post done-We are going to the library today when we go to Neosho to take a couple of movies back....we have a free coupon to see Wall-E, so hopefully that will be there by then, so we can pick that up to watch tomorrow night......or tonite-will see. Then I have to stop at the store. I am making mexican for dinner. Steph LOVES my chicken enchilidas and tacos-so I need a couple of things to make that-and then I have to go pick her up. Tonite we will be making our pies.....YAY!!! Then, of course, have a few things to do, like clean out the fridge and get some of the stuff done that I can cook ahead of time....thats it!! LOL.....Plus, Jon is just going nuts-keeps asking-do you know what day it is? How many more days before Stephy comes? Do you think she will play star wars with me? Do you think she will sleep with me? Do you think she will bake with me? Yadi, Yadi, Yadi, Yadi.... This morning, he gets up-as he is walking into the bathroom, he says-Mom, Im so EXCITED-do YOU know what day it is today? I said-Yes, its Wednesday and the day before Thanksgiving.....He said-I KNOW THAT, Silly Momma-BUT.....whats happening TODAY? I said-Oh, we have some errands to run.....he was like-ITS THE DAY SISSY IS COMING TO STAY FOR 2 DAYS, MA~OM!!!! I CANT WAIT!! (jumping up and down and clapping his hands-and then grabbing his junk and crossing his legs cuz he has to pee so bad-but he wants to BE CLEAR that "I" KNOW what day it is-to the point he is gonna wet himself-crazy kid!!!) Can we go pick her up RIGHT NOW? I told him we had to wait until she gets off of work, so he isnt happy about that! Told him IF he didnt get in there and go to the bathroom, and wet his pants-I wouldnt take him WITH me to go pick her up-and as he is going down the hallway, I hear him say-sheesh, SOMEONE doesnt have a sense of humor! -I heard that Jon!!! How did YOU hear that mommy? Mommys hear AND see everything-I told you that! LOL.....Im sorry, mom..... I know, Jon-hurry up and go potty.
I think I may throw a quick post out about the COF Christmas party, because of the gift exchange and that way, IF someone is shopping on black Friday-and they see a good deal-they can get it then, IF they want. I will have MORE detailed posts and sign up sheets for the potluck and stuff later on-after we get through Thankgiving-so sometime next week will start those posts.
More than likely, I will be on tomorrow-BUT....I just want you to know that I WISH, for all of you- A wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones-and safe travels......I will be praying that for our whole board and I love you all!
**Jan-Im glad it wasnt windy at your place-but it sure was here!!! Nasty stuff. It wasnt COLD COLD wind-but it was zapping through you, just the same-real gusty-at times, making it hard to walk-LOL..
You dont eat ANY of Thanksgiving dinner at all? O, that would be a bummer! I didnt get to last year-everything made me sick-but throughout this year, have tried everything we will be having-and can tolerate all of it-just will have to do it all in a bite of two of each thing I like and thats it! I cant wait! Im doing all the cooking but 2 casserole dishes....but Im okay with that. Im making the worlds best deviled eggs too-and I will have to hide them in the back of the fridge, behind stuff-between Mike, Megan and Stephanie-they will find them and eat one or two here and there, and then when I go to pull them out and put them on the table, there is like 6 left-LOL.....
Hope the swelling was nothing for Joe. I will be praying for him-and for you. I sure hope the patches work for you. I guess I never thought about asking them to up the dosage on the patches. I doubled them at one time too-and did 50 mg-and it worked for like 3 hrs-and that was it.....so, MAYBE the 100 mg will give relief for a couple of hours....I have written the gel down and I WILL ask for a sample and if the pain management doc doesnt have them-I WILL ask the arthritis doc I will be seeing....I WILL~ Your much too cute to be a guinea pig tho-LOL...but I appreciate it! Love ya much and WISH we lived closer! Have a really good day with the family tomorrow! Wish I had had a way to get those clothes to you for Mikeala before tomorrow-but will get them in a couple of weeks. Did Joes brother ever get there? I hope so! **Andy-Goodness-what are we gonna do about the swelling? No wonder your so frustrated! We will continue to pray for you and a resolution to that! Im so sorry your going through that. IF your PCP cant figure it out, maybe Dr. Suttmoeller can help you figure it out with the tests they are running? I will praying for you! I also hope that whatever is the case with the tummy, that its an easy fix for you, ok? Im sorry!

I have these fancy windows-and I was cleaning them the other day-and I will be darned if I couldnt figure out how to get it to come open so I could do the other side! LOL....so, I got the inside done! LOL....Gotta be smarter than the windows, Jan!! Anyway-Im glad thats done!

Im so glad your doing dinner with your MIL-We did the last couple of years that my grandparents were in the nursing home.....I never wanted them to be alone on the holidays and so we always loaded up the car and traveled the hour and a half with our dinners too-just to make sure they got good food and loved ones around them! I hope you have the best Thanksgiving ever and your in my thoughts and prayers.

Well, my house is still a mess! David and Jake are grouting the back splash. He will seal it in the morning and then it will be all done. They will also change out the switch plates. I got really pretty satin nickel ones and the actual switches will be black. Should look good. Will still have to get new hard ward but that will have to wait. Just need to have my kitchen done!! We are also going to clean the living room and the kitchen once they finish. I will try and take some pictures this weekend. I think I've found the hardware fixtures. May have dh put those in this weekend. We will see.
Luke left for Texas yesterday. David took him to the airport. David said Luke checked himself in. I think it took David my surprise. I reminded him Luke had went thru international airports last summer when he went to Japan. Luke called when he got into Houston. Luke is staying at his girlfriends' parents house. It's funny, Luke said her Dad talked to him a couple nights before he left. He told Luke not to believe all the stuff Becca had been saying about her family...except a lot of it was true. lol. Then he said that Luke definitely would be staying on HIS side of the house! I had already talked to Becca's Mom month's ago. I also had a long talk with Luke and Becca. They are both born again and have taken the True Love Waits course thur church. I think they realize how important it is to remain pure until marriage. Just know that we are human and I told them not to put themselves into a situation where they would be tempted. Luke will be home Sunday afternoon.
Tomorrow we will have all the kids here except for Luke. It will be my first holiday without him since he's been born. Not sure how I feel about that. It will be nice to have Josh, Erin and Kameron as well as Erin's boyfriend Gary and of course Jake will be here along with my Mom and Dad. It will be the first Thanksgiving Josh has spent with us in years.
We bought a brand new Turk N Surf electric deep fryer off Craigslist for $50. I had been on Consumer Reports and they said this is the best and safest turkey fryer. They retail for around $100. David has always wanted to deep fry a turkey, however, I was afraid of the propane ones because we have grandchildren and little dogs. Just worried me. This one has safety features and can be used indoors. He will use it on one of our decks. He HATES turkey so I'm thinking he will like it fried better. I think I'm going to like the Turk N Surf for steaming fish. Going to try and make some frog-more stew for New Years.
We will have having a traditional thanksgiving dinner. Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, rolls, pecan pie, pumpkin pie and chocolate pie. Erin is going to bring some type of cheesy corn dish.
Hope everyone has a HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I'd better get going. Have a lot to do. Just pray I don't lose my mind in the middle of the remodeling mess!
