WHATS HAPPENING SATURDAY

Boy oh boy have I ever had an exciting day...lol  don’t nothing but sit in the waiting room of the hospital and now am sitting in Joes room, they brought me a nice recliner to sleep in and told me they would bring me a pillow and blanket later. If they didn’t to ask them for it.

 

Joe did really well or seems to be any way. He is up moving around and eating supper, he ask for a ham sandwich but when they brought him his pills he could barely get them down for the sore throat he has so he ask for some soft food. They brought him a big helping of mashed p otatoes and gravy , banana, lemon pudding and a choc. Shake. . I  think I made up today for all that I over ate Wednesday. Today ive had 3 protein shakesand one banana and ¼ cup of minestrone soup but took all the pasta out lol

Oh and ½ piece of roll. Exciting day lol

 

Don’t have a lot to report that is for sure  , have been reading the post lol Cor do you know if you are coming or going? I think I would tell them now no more ....we are leaving it at this.. I put a lot of little things on your post hope you wrote them down this time lol

  

TAMMY-AMMY::::: really sorry that you couldn’t be with us Wed but try your very best to be with us for the Christmas party on the 22 of Dec. it sounds like it will be a hoot. Don’t ask me the details about it because I don’t know nuttin...lol

 

I forgot you didn’t have RNY did you? All RNYs usually have  stinky bowel movements...and letting off gas. Lol

 

Will keep you in prayer about your mammogram.i had that problem last year and they had me  come back several times before they decided it was nothing but a fat deposit.

. I had already told them that but they thought they knew better than me same with this last thing I just went thru with the wbc. So if there was something there God took care of it and I know he will you too. Just trust in his almight name and call it out . he is there and will pick you up and take care of you.

Don’t fear  the unknown, or don’t borrow trouble. The Devil loves to hear us say we are afraid of this or that, because then he know what to get us with. So keep smiling and calling out Jesus the devil hates it when he hears that name..lol

  

ANDY:::::: sounds like you were busy today.  Sure was cold out. And let me tell you I got lots of walking in today....wow. when you are bored you sure can walk cant you? I bet you found that with Susan in the hospital here while back, didn’t you?

I can only sit so long in a waiting room , too much noise...tv that you cant really hear because of too much talking that you cant hear what they are saying either lol so I walk. I get a beeber and go walking. I walked outside one time today all around the parking lot. But man that was cold. So I decided I would do it inside and now my ankles are hurting and so are my knees. Too much concret.

Will be glad to get back to walking outside again. Hopefully things will settle down here in a little while , told Joe that maybe we just need to go somewhere warm on a beach and walk in the sand. Lol .

  

SUSAN::::; im so glad that you enjoyed the trip and the Bible study...you are more than welcome to come along with me anytime...

Hope Monday is the start of your amazing weight loss journey...have you gotten the papers from them to fill out yet?

Hope you can get Dr. Feering...i know Janet loves her.

  

BARBARA S::::::::: loved that Apple pie was really good , that is one of my favorite pies , My mom use to make them with lots of sugar and lots of butter  . were really good then but would make us sick now lol . funny how our taste change along with our bodies huh?

  

COLETTE:::::: hope you get to see Andy and Susan at the Christmas party... like I said we will find a nice comfortable seat for your hubby

It is wonderful to have Christian fellowship isn’t it  are you not able to go to Chruch anymore with hubby?  And you are right the worse the money gets for people the more there will be of robbery and such..people don’t have the morals they had back in the old depression, I look for there to be just wanton disrespect for anyone and everything if this gets worse than it is...People use to didn’t think that they were entitled to stuff just becaue they wanted it. And even being really poor they still didn’t shoot and kill people to get their money and stuff.

  

SUSIE:::::: yes I find I think I have more than I do. I would bet something is ½ cup and it will only be ¼ or 1/3 so no we cant trust our eyes. I don’t know if you should be eating more than just tablespoons full right now. What does the white binder say? It is really good if you follow that.

Yes im missing Jeanine too . guess I will have to call her tomorrow when I get Joe home and settled. The freezing wont stop it will only get worse lol no joke it does. We lost our insulation and the more you lose the colder you get.

Be careful of what you eat some of over Thanksgiving , be aware of Sugar in things. You might dump if you eat too much and im sure you will since the potatoes make you dump. Please don’t experiment. Just tell everyone you are on a diet, so no thanks to the mashed pots. And gravy, no thanks to the hot rolls, no thanks to the pies , and no thanks to the candied sweet potatoes.  Go easy on the dressing it can be bad because of too much bread. But the turkey is good. So is the green bean casserole  and  thinks like olives, pickles, other raw fruits or veggies. You can make people think you are eating a lot when you aren’t...just put . tiny bits on your plate and then if you eat that get another tiny bit and they will even think you are havingt seconds lol

   

SUGAR:::::: JOE is doing great. He ate supper well , and we just got back from our walk all around the 8^th floor twice. So he will be ready to go home in the morning. So far he doesn’t have a lot of pain..

Hope you are having a good time in Okla....dont work too hard. So will you be home tomorrow night? I forgot to ask you.

   

COR::::: sweetie the only reason they want you on the liquid diet (if you are bigger) is to reduce your liver. Makes it easier for the doctor to get in and out without nipping something.

I don’t think yours is probably enlarged right now. So don’t beat yourself up over it you are on the smaller end of big anyway. Remember you are a lightweight and you might lose a little slower but that is ok ...

I am so excited for you and all that is going to happen to you soon..

 

Hope you will get to come to our Christmas party but I know you might not be feeling the best in the world by the 22^nd..but if you can we would love to have you come with someone. ..

I do not know how you keep up with all of it but you sure do you are something else . Good morning, Missouri!!!

Looks like today will be a little warmer....thank goodness.  We need to work on getting our storm windows off and the blinds and curtains down since our windows come Monday.  I am so grateful that we are getting them...these are so drafty and dirty.  I would like to get a little of my outside Christmas done, too since it's going to be somewhat nice.  We'll see. 

It's going to be a busy weekend and next week is busy too.  I need to get ready for our church Thanksgiving banquet, plus our own and then I head to Salina, KS next weekend for my mom's side of the family Christmas get together.  I think the only day I have free is Wednesday and I really need to get my hair done.  Maybe I can squeeze it in on that day.

I've posted this before but I am totally baffled.  I am losing weight like crazy.  I mean I am so thankful but I'm a little wigged out.  I've lost 10 pounds in two weeks and I can't ever remember doing that since surgery.  Has anybody else lost after they had their gallbladder removed?  My prayer is that I can keep it off!

Jan....I am so thankful that Joe is doing so well.  I hope you get to head home today.  Please be careful and know that I am praying for you both.  You are such a special person...you mean the world to me.

I hope everybody is having a great weekend and gettting everything accomplished that needs to be done.

Boy I have been afraid to eat anything. I am doing my protein drinks and juice. I have eaten a sugar free pop and jello. Basically I am still on liquids. I had eaten potatos several times with no  problem but last time was bad. I think it was because I overate. They told me to eat them with sour cream and a little melted cheese. I may try them again to see what happens. I am on pureed foods now but do not know what to try. I sent DH out for some black olives,they have been on my mind so I gotta try some. We are having mexican food tonight so I will try some good old pinto beans with some cheese. I sure hope they go well because I need to eat to get my strenght back. I am able to do more than last week and have been out and about some. I am planning on coming down Monday night and doing a little shopping before hand.
Glad to hear Joe is ok. Backs can be tricky.
Looking forward to seeing everyone Monday.

Good Morning Missouri,

It was simply beautiful out this morning when I walked... had a funny thing happen there are two dobermans ~ a mail and female.... boy did that female give that male  "what for" the WHOLE way!  it was too funny!  She snapped at him and growled at him and even nipped at him and he just kept coming back for more!  I kept thinking to my self there has to be a lesson in that!!! ~tee hee

Oh yeah Peggy ~ that  dog is doing so much better now at not jumping on me.... she KNOWS what I am going to do and sidesteps me now!  ~ the stinker!!!

It was a busy busy day yesterday... I walked and then cleaned a bit on the house got ready and went to town to deliver some things to my sis and then made the rounds to all the grocery stores to get the sales.... then went to see a lady that has a brain tumor and we had a nice visit ... I did not get home till 9:00 p.m.

Another busy day planned today so better get started! 

There are several we have not heard from in a while I sure hope you all are doing ok and being blessed!

Hello everyone...Hope all is doing good today...me..well didnt sleep well last night...tossed and turned most of the night, my right hip is hurting so bad. I was suppose to go get steroid shots on tuesday but cant now due to surgery coming up quickly at this rate..I'm so far down to a pack a day for smoking...thats alot for me I usually smoke around 2-2 and half. But I made a promise to myself and I did some forgiving and now I think that I owe the good Lord for getting me to this. So wish me luck, I hope that I can get it done, its going to be really hard.
Going to start decorating the house for Christmas now since I more than likely wont feel like doing it after I get home from surgery. The one good thing about Margie moving my date, I can now go to my sons wrestling tounament in Jeff city on the 5th. And I now have 2 and half weeks off from work. I think that should be enough what's ya think? Anyway for today I am going to get things done around here, that will keep me busy for a long while.
Going to have deer for dinner as well, seeing as I wont be able to have it for along while...maybe never. Anyway hope you all have a great day and stay warm...man I's cold...
Jan** Yes it is driving me crazy about the date changes...but you know what...they could do it tomorrow and I would still be jumping for joy..lol all though I would like to have a little time to get things done..lol and little time to prepare for the liquid diet...spent half the day yesterday on liquids and then the other half on eatting whatever..lol to say the least I spent a little time in the bathroom thats not done yet...lol

Wasn’t as cold out today as it was yesterday thank goodness.  Still pretty cool out though.  Is it spring time yet?  Lol  Haven’t done much today really,  did some house cleaning and worked on getting the hardware on the cabinets.  Got the handles on all the doors, just gotta work on getting the handles on the drawers,  I might do that tomorrow then they will be done!!  The handles really make the cabinets stand out and look so good. 

 

Tomorrow we are having a thanksgiving lunch at church, I’m making a Turkey Broccoli Stuffing casserole,  its really good,  I’ll make that in the morning before we go so its fresh when we take it to church.  Then Monday hopefully we go to Columbia,  my appointment is at 1:30pm then the seminar for Susan is at 7pm,  its gonna make for a long day but will be worth it to get her started on the journey.

 

***Jan*** Im so glad Joe is doing good.  Yes I’ll be so glad when we can get back on a walking routine,  I need to be out there walking now, I just cant seem to get myself motivated,  hopefully after the next couple days I’ll start walking again even if its just me an my lil dog  lol. So far we have NO doctors appointments for December so hopefully I’ll get back on a routine,    I know what ya mean about walking at the hospital,  I went stir crazy when Susan was in and when I was in too,  I wanted out of that bed so bad  lol.  Susan hasn’t gotten any paper work to fill out yet for the seminar,  they give that to you at the seminar itself,  they did send me a ton of paper work to fill out for when I see the surgeon I finally got it all filled out  lol geeze they wanna know everything  lol.

 

***Bec*** Thanks again for posting that Apple Butter recipe,  I tried hard to find it but just couldn’t lol  Im gonna make that next week or so it sounds so yummy!!

 

***Colette*** I sure hope one day soon we can meet up again,  I can’t believe its been 2 years since I’ve seen ya.  I think about ya often since we both have the same anniversary date, except your 3 yrs out and Im 2,  my my my how the time flys by so fast.

 

Well Im gonna go relax and watch some tv  and prolly go to bed early, kind of tired tonight for some reason.  Hope everyone has a good Sunday.  Stay warm.
