WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY
Hi you all...Im still smiling as well from wend's lunch and then Thurs suprise call from margie and Insurance...I even called insurance to make sure that i wasnt dreaming...lol they thought I was some crazy lady...lol. Anyway I have been running around all day and then this morning trying to get my work schedual straighted out....and I just finished that....thank you lord that there were girls to cover for me...I will be taking about 3 weeks off..that should give me enough time to recover dont ya think? Anyway just hung up with margie and surgery has been moved up to the Dec 5. dont know what time yet margie will call me later today....im nervious and excited all at the same time...but have to start liquids today...yeepppeeee.....and I know that I not ready for that....I had Mcdonalds just before margie call and then got all upset when I told her...but I just ate something....thats going to mess everything up now right??? she told me no and that things will be ok...I sure hope so...Thanks again for all the support...I will need you all more now than ever...lol You know all this time on the board...not once did I write down anything..guess I figured that I wouldnt get to have the surgery so I didnt bother...so I posted another message with a few questions k...thanks again...and great big hugs to you all....

Hi, Mama Jan & MO Peeps:
Boy, has it been a long day. Subbed for an elementary special education teacher today. Wasn't bad just not much to do today. Makes for a long day. Josh came over tonight and he, Dad and Jake finished tearing out the old backsplash. Figured out we need at least 14 bull-edged ceramic tiles which I didn't get. Will call the CO first thing in the morning. They carry the stuff I got in stock so I'm hoping I can get these for the edge. I wish someone would have figured it out BEFORE now! Josh thought Dad would know and Dad thought Josh would have told him. Figures!
I did get my grocery list made out and my menu planned for the next couple of weeks. Will probably be Monday before I can get it done. The kitchen needs to be DONE before I can get groceries and try to unload them all. Will have to buy extra stuff because the boys only have 2 days of school next week.
Tomorrow I'm going to try and get my office organized. It is a mess. Can't find anything and it's starting to get on my nerves. I'd like to get that done and start on my room. Will see how far I get.
Jan - I'm so glad Joe's surgery was a success! When will he get to come home? Please tell him we love him and are praying for the both of you! Praise the Lord your bloodwork was okay! God is Good!
Tammy - thanks for the taco salad recipe. I will probably make that for my family because I'm thinking it need to be served immediately. I'm sure my boys would love it like your family does. Thanks for sharing it with me!
Colette - I'm planning on making that layered salad recipe you gave me. Do you put it in a pretty glass bowl? I'll go to the store tomorrow and get the ingredients and refrigerate overnight. Thanks for sharing it with me! I'll let you know if I come home with an empty dish. I think that's one of the highest compliments there is!
Cor - Glad you've got your "final" surgery date! I remember how excited I was! Will be praying for you, it'll be here before you know it.
