feeling better but have no energy

I am wondering if the problem with my energy is my diet or from the pnuemonia. I am taking my vitamins and think I am getting enough liquids. I just started my iron today. I just have no energy. I was full of gas all night and miserable till about midafternoon. Thank goodness I am better now.I am really wanting to start trying to eat a few more things but am a bit scared to. All the recipes popping up are making me want to eat. I wish I could be there Weds but I don't think I could drive there and back. I would be worn out. Maybe next time. I guess I am having the normal blues and it will pass. I have been so cold and tired. I am keeping everything down and kinda worried I am eating to much. I have been able to eat a whole jumbo egg for beakfast. I guess if I put it in a measuring cup it would be about 1/4 cup maybe more. Dairy seems to agree thank goodness because the sugar free ice cream is my saving grace. I just wish I felt better.Am I expecting too much? I hate to be on here bellyaching but I know you understand. I just want to feel like myself again.

I think I was tired for about the first 3 weeks.  It will get better you just had major surgery and you had a set back with being sick it takes a little time.  I was wondering are you drinking protein shakes they will give u a boost.  Sending hugs, Raynetta

Good grief, girl, you are barely two weeks post-op major surgery!  It is normal to feel tired, that is you body saying "Take it east so I can heal."  It is also not uncommon to feeel a little blue after any surgery.  Now add to that  the fact that you thorw up alot and have a lot of nausea, and you can see why your body is saying "Whoa!"  This phase will pass and soon you be writing this to me, when it is my turn.  Hang in there.  Love ya.

Hugs,

Deb

Hi Susie,

I felt the same way after my surgery, I rested quite alot. I think it was 3 or 4 weeks before I really started feeling better, and really not myself for about 6 weeks.

I was afraid to try new things too especially after I tried tuna and boy that didn't set well at all. So that made me kind of leary to try new things. After awhile it gets better but I still haven't tried tuna again yet. I can't stand the fishy smell. I did get me some shrimp but haven't tried it yet.
I don't think you can eat to much,  your pouch won't let you. It will come right back up..anyway just hang in there. I have lost 102 lbs in just over 4 months.  Good luck on your journey. It is an exciting one..
