Looking for friends in the St. Louis area

Hi everyone.  I had my RNY on Oct 1st and I'm trying to meet other people in the area who have had this surgery.  I've gone to the support groups at DePaul but I'm kind of shy.  I work full time M-F but my weekends are usually free and I would love to have someone to hang out with, go to lunch occasionally...etc.

Sarah i dont live in St Louis area for sure and dont know anyone who does but we are happy to have you here on the board and would love to  get to know you....so welcome to the Mo board and hope you come back often ..

keep going to the support meetings , and if you have any questions maybe someone here can help you too....again welcome.

Neither do I live in the SL area but welcome to the board and hope you hang around with us some! We are a good group of people who love to encourage one another.

You might find another personal support group up that way thru this site so just keep asking. We have several groups around the state that post on here.

I did have the same Dr as you and I had my surgery at DePaul also....does he still have the same PA? And have you met Patsy back in the office? She is a sweetheart! My surgery was 1 year and 8 months ago and I have lost 141pounds....I am 2 pounds from my goal so it all has worked wonderfully for me! Let us know your story would you????

Hi Sarah,

I dont live in St Louis anymore but my family does and I go there once a month or so.  Maybe we can get together next time I come in.  I will be in the week of Thanksgiving.  Maybe that Saturday or Sunday after thanksgiving we can meet.  I'd love to do lunch or something.  PM me and we can make plans.
