WHATS HAPPENING FOR TUESDAY

Well all is well I think in boob land . They did the ultra sound and they couldn’t see anything they took the results to the doctor that said there was something there and she wanted another mammogram so we doddle across the hall and do three more shots of the mammogram which show the spot again, They then did another 20 minutes looking for it with the ultra sound , finally they told me that I could go but maybe another mammogram in a few months. The doctor came in and even did the ultra sound and couldn’t find what she thought she saw. Lol I told them you know why? They said no I said because I had some awesome prayer warriors praying for me. The doctor just smiled like I might be a little off. Lol

 

Finally found some shoes that I think might work for working in. They look like penny loafers and have a nice soft thick sole and I bought them a size too big and put my thick dr. shoals insoles in them. So far feel great. Wont look that great with a dress but probably wont wear dresses to work in anyway.

 

  My neighbor that keeps us in eggs just brought me another dozen over. They have chickens right next to us and she brings be a dozen about everyother week. Nice brown and green eggs. Good and fresh.

 

Well the grandkids car is again acting up. We think it is the filter in the gas tank . Hopefully Joe and a friend of his can yank it off and see about it. Untill then we told him to drive our truck back and forth to work.

Had to tell him again that several neighbors are complaining about his speed in the sub division. Hope he will listen because if he don’t some of them will be calling the sheriff on him I know, They did Joe when we first moved down here. Lol.

 

I started feeling really bad on the way home today and by the time I got here I ran to the bathroom I threw up and had diarrhea too . I don’t know if it was a dumping episode or not, Don’t know what it would have been over if it was. The only thing I had while I was gone today was a protein bar. The only other thing was maybe tension, maybe I was more stressed over all of this about the ultra sound than I thought. Anyway afterwards I was so worn out and sleepy that I went to bed and slept for 2 hours in a dead sleep.

 

Just want to thank each and everyone of you that prayed for me today. I love and care for all of you here and you don’t know how good it makes me feel that you all care for me too. Thanks isnt enough but it is all I have. I love you.

   

ELIZABETH: Yes the iris are my very favorite. I have at last count over 100 different varieties or maybe more. Hard to keep track of them sometimes. Especially when every year I add at least a dozen different ones. This is my first experience with the borer. And I was in danger of losing a lot of iris but finally decided that I had to pull them up and work them over. Like I said the one bed that I had them in has over the years sunk in and is retaining too much water. There are trees close by that cause lots of leaves and stuff to fall into the bed. And I haven’t been as diligent as I should about keeping all of the stuff off of them and out of the beds. That wont happen again that is for sure. Tomorrow I am preparing my bleach water and cutting and dividing them up and cutting the leaves back so I can get them back into the ground.

 

Isnt it great to have a spouse that loves to garden with you? Joe is the same way , we love to make the outside of our home as beautiful as we can. We have people stop all the time to see what new project we are working on now. Lol

The week-enders that come in on the week ends lots of them come to see the gardens and walk around them. Makes you proud that you can do something that others can enjoy too.

 

Maybe sometime you could plan on coming to one of the meetings. Make arrangements with your second job to not have to work on the 4^th Monday of the month and when you get off work come on down. I sure would love to see  you again.

 

Can you not change Saturdays with someone so you could not have to work the day of the reunion? It will be a lot of fun.

CINDY: Glad that you posted on the Whats Happening thread. Im sure the girls you emailed to or what ever got it but Janet, and Melissa have been having a lot of rain so their computers might be down part of the time.

Hope you make plans to come to the reunion in Sept.

  

DENISE: well duh!!! Of course Joey. Now I get it. Lol How was work today. Did you do alright? I hope you didn’t overdo and all went well. 

 

JANET; well are you all still high and dry or soggy and wet? I was listening to the news about the amount of rain you all had in that area it was awful .  Yeah living in the country does have its drawbacks I guess but I will take it over city living any day. I know everyone doesn’t feel that way and that is ok. Cause if everyone felt that way there wouldn’t be any country lol .

 

Right now it would have to be a really really good deal for me to take anyone up on a deal on a pool but if you find one let me know anyway ok. I might win the lottery or something never know. Lol

 

Wow jeans that fit over the capris did you try them on later after you took off the capris, They should have been ok then. That really was a wow moments huh? Good girl.

 

Yep you were right on the test weren’t you? I really knew that God was taking care of me anyway too. But you know how the devil likes to get you going about something.

 

I will bring you some iris to the next meeting. And will bring extra if anyone is going to be there and wants some just let me know so I will know how much to bring. No the solution I am talking about is a weak bleach solution to kill the borers that mine have. But the ones I give you will be all cleaned up and ready to plant. Ok?

 

I know you will take lots of pictures of Megans wedding that will be fun to see them.

  

MELISSA: Sounds like you had a great week end. You were able to swim with the open wound? I know how you love to swim but be careful sweetie. Don’t want any growth getting in that.

Sorry you were in pain while everyone else was sleeping , I think that sometimes makes the pain worse don’t you?

Reality sometimes is bad but we have to have faith that God knows all of our wants and desires and has something great planned for you. Remember Sarah in the bible.

 

CHERYL: You are doing really good on the weight loss. Hope you come to the Circle of Friends meeting on the 25^th it is at 2620 Battlefield at the police/fire station.  Starts at 6:30

Hopefully a lot of people that you talk to will be there too. Janet and Melissa are both usually there as well as Me too. Lol We usually have a good bunch anywhere from 15 to 20 each month. Then after the meeting we go out somewhere and have coffee or tea or water or even a meal if needed.

I would love to bring you some iris to the meeting. Let me know if you for sure will be there ok? Mine are all colors and some are 2 colors , I have black, yellow, white, pink, coral, white and purple , white and blue, white and yellow, mauve and others that I cant think of right now. I have some new ones in a new bed that I haven’t had to do anything with right now but they are suppose to all be re-bloomers. I hope they bloom this fall we will see.

 

SUSAN: Now how in the world did you break your drivers lic.? Picking locks with it or something?

LANA: I am praying for her grandson and her daughter also. Don’t know all of the situation but what ever it is will be praying that God takes care of the boy and that she does what she has to do.

Yeah it bothers you now with family and friends eat nice meals but later you wont care. Food really does lose its ability to entice us.

Hey Jan~ I am so happy to hear that you are clear on your ultrasounds and mammograms. I had an abnormal yearly once & it was very stressful. OooOooh the pink and white Iris's I bet are GORGEOUS! I have bleeding hearts, glads, tulips, purple irises, roses, and some other stuff..I can't even think of right now. My mom got me the Disneyland Rose last year for Mother's Day and it is a BEAUTY! It's orange with a tint of yellow and red. Apparently I did not know it was a climber...so looks like I need to find a trellis...FAST..LOL. I have a rose bush that blooms pink and white in the same buds together. Oh it is BREATH TAKING. Ok, well time for bed for me. I have been up all day. Thank you for keeping in touch. Cheryl ;)

WHEWWWWWW, I kept looking for some word on your testing.....I am so glad to see you are okay.  I had that happen in 2004 and it scared me to death.  Then during the 2nd round of tests, they didn't find anything.   Momma J, ya scared me :) Nothing really going on....going to help my mom paint today...she (obviously) can't stand on a ladder, so my teenager and I are going to help her do this faux finish that looks like venician plaster in her great room.  I was still very tired yesterday, the weather was making me hurt.  Funniest thing: I was tired from having a date this passed weekend...isn't that funny?  Thank you Janet & Jan regarding Bill.  I really like him, and hope that it turns into somethin special.  I have added a picture of him onto my profile, and even sat my kiddo down and talked to him about Bill last night.  I told him if it looked like it was really going to be something serious, then I'd like Dylan to meet him.   (((Dylan has never seen me date anyone, or be happy around a guy before)))) So, he was really sweet about it, and told me he hoped it would work out for me.  Funny that our babies can be so mature and supportive.  LOL He started his summer job this passed week, and has been working sick.  I went out to WM yesterday for popsicles and listerine.  He ended up with a soar throat and flu like symptoms after being in the pool a few times.   He doesn't miss work, and I am proud of that, because that is something I don't think I understood the importance of until waaaay later on in life.  And he is only 16.  Puppies are good, and my parent's rennovation nightmare is almost over...woot woot. Jan.... I am soooooooo happy to hear about the good news on the ultrasound testing.  You were so in my thoughts and prayers during this trying time.  I was not even going to claim "defeat" by discussing anything negative.  I just knew in my heart that the good Lord was going to have his hand in this and that your results would be fine...  ((hugs)) Yes we are both blessed with having such wonderful husbands.  Mine is so into yardwork and even the house as well.  He has such good taste when it comes to planning things that I don't mind turning the reins over to him and letting him go with it.   I can remember long long ago a few of my favorite Iris'.  Stepping Out, Happy Birthday and Blue Sapphire.  I have won awards with showing all three of them.  One of my sister's won top show awards at a HUGE SHOW with Desert Sands.  It was so perfect!!!  My parents had extensive gardens and they were mapped and charted so they knew exactly where each and every flower was (by name) ...  they surely instilled a love of gardening to each and every one of us. As for attending the meetings.  Though I love C Barrel dearly ( I truly do) they make the schedule up on Thursday for the following week.  I had to beg , beg and beg some more just to get the time off for our son's Hschool graduation.  They are kinda short staffed right now with workers moving out of the area (military) and I am hoping that they will hire some more folks soon.  I would love to attend a meeting.  Been threatening to for quite some time!!!!  *s* Now on the reunion.  That is going to be much more difficult.  I know that I have shared in the past some of my issues with my main job.  Whereas it has quieted down some the backstabbiness and hatefulness is still there bigtime.  The person that I would have to "switch" with is one of the ones that is just a PITA to deal with.  So I can ask but I will not hold my breath that she will do it.  I know, sad, but that is the way things function (or better said, DON'T FUNCTION) at this place.  I would LOVE to see all of you and I know that we would have a blast...    Well, sitting here sipping hot coffee YUMMMMMY and then I am going to have to get crackin' and get ready for work.  I head in to C Barrel tonight for 3 hrs. and then home again.   Been thinking alot about all of you.  So proud of each and every person in here.  Those that are postop and doing so much with their lives... reclaiming them in a sense... and equally proud of those getting ready to have this surgery.  For them to take a stand and say NO MORE to the issues of battling morbid obesity.  Some folks say that the obese are weak people.  We might be weak in dealing with some of our food issues but we have the strength of Atlas when it comes to battling the stereotypes and naysayers who have put us down through the years.  In that respect we are NOT weak.  We are soooooo so strong.   Just wanted everyone to know that even though I don't post alot nor participate in the jibber jabber of the board that I DO care and that I silently lift each and everyone of you up in thoughts and prayer. Jan I was so glad to read  that everything is ok, what would we do without our prayer warriors..I have a grandson to be that is very sick and would like everyones prayers, he is in Cox south and they cant find what is wrong with him, they have drained almost a gal.of fluid off of each lung and they are filling up again they took a biopsy and sent it to Mayo clinic, they have had specialist flown in, and cannot find what it is He runs a fever all time. He is only 16 years old, so pray for him that they can find an answer as to what it is.....The doctor that went inside said it was a terrible mess in there......Vesta

Jan glad to hear that everything is going ok with you and your recent scare I will continue to pray for you as it sounds like maybe this isn't over with or you don't know for sure what is going on?   I have been busy and unable to post for several days I have missed my computer!   My best friend bought me a book the other day at Borders called, "Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies" and she also got me a diet journal to write down what I eat daily so I can see for myself how I am eating.  Let me tell you that journal has been a big help to me because I saw just how much I am eating and how fast it all adds up boy was I shocked to see the first day that I started it I consumed 2647 calories.....OMG!!!!  and I thought I was being good that day....NOT!!!!  It made me more aware of what I should and shouldn't eat so I am being more careful of what I put in my mouth.  I was writing down what I eat but not really keeping track of calories and fat et****il she got me  that diet journal.  The "Weight Loss Surger for Dummies" book is really good too very informative some things I already knew but over all it's been a big help and relief to some unanswered questions.   I was supposed to go have my Pysch. eval today however I have to reschedule it I don't have the money for it right now going to reschedule it for next week or this Friday? I was excited to learn that I dropped 5 pounds!!!!  I have been drinking more water and crystal light and limiting my soda intake to one a day until I can get off from it all together.   I watched Big Medicine last night and I do like the show I just wish they would show more of what it's like after people have their surgery and what they struggle with on a daily basis.  Last night was better though then the past 2 weeks got to see some of what Allen struggles with. Hello Missouri, First things first!!!  Sherr, the sweet Tennessee man is just that - SWEET.  Hope is is a good as he looks!!! Jan, so relieved to know that everything boob-wise is OK.  I just had a feeling it would be but it's good to take care of those girls!!! I love seeing all the new folks posting.  It makes our board so interesting to meet and greet new people.  Hope many of them will make it to COF meeting. Know Mel and Janet are touring the world - bet they are laughing like crazy right now. One of our neighbors gave us some iris and DH planted them but the late frost got all our buds so we won't be having any this year.   I think my tomatoes are too wet since I put them in pots and not the ground.  I will dump water out of the saucers when I get home and try to get them under the eaves so they can dry out.  It rained 3 and 1/2 inches at my house yesterday and then at 4am this morning it poured again. I gotta make some phone calls here at work so I'm going to make this short. Love you all so much.  Can't wait for the reunion. Hugs, Lana
