Hi, I just got home last night. I was released yesterday around 3. As if the stiff and pain were not enough, I guess because of the trauma of the surgery to body---I have started my ladies day AGAIN (just had it 2 weeks ago). I have lost 6 lbs since the day of surgery (Wednesday). I am not liking this whole drain thing but hopefully next Monday I will get it out. Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know that I am home now. Oh, yeah! I have to say I did freak out right before they rolled me into the OR. The anethesiologist decided to tell me in front of my fiance and my 5 year old son that I would not be breathing on my own--that they would be doing it for me and there was a chance I would not breathe on my own again. Of course, I naturally panicked and they had to rush over and put different "relaxation" medicine in my iv THEN had me sign the papers..which I remember nothing about. But anyway, kinda crappy. I'm ok now though.

Welcome home and congratulations thus far on your weight loss. OR can be scary.. but aren't you happy it's over.. The Journey has begun and so far you're doing great! The relaxation medication was wonderufl ... :) I liked it lol. Hope you're not so stiff and pained.. and you feel better soon. Remember to get up and moving now that youre home and sip those fluids. Hey-- Yeah, thank God it's over. I don't remember the relaxation medication. My back was pretty stiff yesterday, but probably because I was on the road all day. I am having the most pain on my left side (the bigger the incision). I have been walking since the morning/night after surgery. Thursday morning technically. It's hard to get in those fluids. That is what I think I am having trouble with at this point. By the way, in your photo you already look like you are at your goal weight. :)

Hey girl....I am so glad to hear from you!!!!! Congrats!!!!!  I wanted to get around to seeing you before I left the hospital but things went so fast with my discharge and all thrusday I didn't  even get a chance to see if I could hunt you down....Where did you get put after surgery?? I spent mon night till wednesday afternoon in ICU then they moved me to 4 west..... And girl I am with you on the drain thing lol lol....Everything else has been smooth sailing but this darn drain really sucks lmbo!!! I go back Wed the 13th around noon for my 1 week check up and I hope to get it out then....It's slowed down alot on the drainage and I'm not having any problems so I should get mine out.  I am so sorry for the panic situation you had to go thru right before surgery....I went under laughing cause they were saying something funny about my anistesiologist(sp).....but I woke up puking my guts up....but thank God they acted fast on it and got it under control quick... Got to run for now but will give ya a yell later on after I rest a bit.....Again Congrats!!!! Good having you slide in on the bench with me!!! BIG HUGS...Tammy H.

Hey~ I haven't had any vomiting. Mine has very little coming out (drain). They re-scheduled my check up for the 18th instead of the 11th :(. I was on 5 west in room 31. My night nurse was the best. I am gonna send her a card or something. She was just totally awesome. Am I the only one here that has been thrown back into the whole "ladies day" thing? It's bad enough trying to sit low enough to pee but now trying to take care of that situation! Gah! Sorry for the complaining. Yeah, I am gettin worn out myself now. IT is good to hear from you too. How much have you lost since Monday? Whoops, Mother Nature's calling. Talk to you later. Cheryl :P

Hi-- Well I was giving out free compliments today. :) You do not look a pound over 130 in that picture. You will get back down to the size you want here shortly, keep your patience. Really, I am not doing that much different..I don't think. Keep your fluids going. I wouldn't worry too much either because they wanted you to be hydrated in the hospital rather than dehydrated. I have faith in ya. I started my chewable kids vitamins with iron last night with my chewable pepcid. I ordered some of those Protica protein vials. I hope those are good. :) ANyone know?
