WHATS HAPPENING SATURDAY

Guess my day was pretty boreing . We went to Springfield , stopped at wal-mart and bought all my vits. That I was getting low on. Then on to massages. The girl I had I think was afraid to touch people too hard or something. I told her I liked a good hard deep tissue massage but she never reached that level. Still had the neck pain when I left.and went by Sugars before going to Food 4 Less.

Wound up not having to go to food 4 less . Sugar gave me her protein powder that I was going to buy there. She still cant stand the smell of it.. Before surgery she bought a big jug of it and loved it but after surgery when she had so much trouble and was sick so much it just wouldn’t work for her. So I got a almost full container from her at a great price, free. Lol

 

Sugar told me to tell all of you Hi. That she is busy running and hardly ever gets on the computer at all anymore. She never has been into it that much and since she has gotten well from her surgery and is losing lots of weight she said she just cant seem to find the time to stop and type.

She really is looking good. Is down to XL in lots of things. Is starting to lose lots of hair.But is really looking good.

 

Sugar got hold of my neck and starting rubbing and found the knot that was causing all the problems and rubbed it out so the headache and the neck pain went away. I sure am glad because it was starting to make me sick of my stomach.

 

Got a start of  a Flowering Almond from Sugars house yesterday. That is a very pretty bush. Hers is beautiful and has grown so big. So I found a good start coming up on the side and had Joe to pull it up since the ground was good and wet still

  

DENISE: see the weight is starting to come off already isnt it? I see on the weight in post that you had some more weight lost. That is great.

Did you get the grays gone now. In your picture you don’t look like you are old enough to have grays. Love your pictures on your profile.

Do you live close enough to Sedalia that you could come to the picnic on the 19^th of this month in the afternoon?

  

JANET:  I sure am glad that you and your family got past the storms the other night. LOL I had to laugh at Megan having her wedding dress with her hidden from the storm. Bless her heart. Im not laughing at her but was sweet and funny.

 

Yeah I hate for it to get all hot and steamy . I guess it is about time for it to do that tho. Altho we sure didn’t need the air conditioner on yesterday did we. I envy you so much having that good pool to get into. Well maybe not envy , because that means I want yours and don’t want you to have it. And that isnt true. Lol

But certainly wish I had a place to put a nice big in ground pool. But I will have a really good above ground one hopefull soon , If not this year, will next .

 

Oh yes the granddaughter is on Wic and they have food stamps right now. So they have all of that set up and that helps them a lot. I ask her and yes she did sign up for parents as teachers program. So hopefully they will start coming out to visit her soon.

I will check at this wic office and see if they have any thing else for her to maybe make friends with someone her age. Out here where we live there is no one around that is her age at all.

 

Yeah before we start losing the weight we think that we will just be happy with the fat gone out of our skin but the flabby stuff that is left really is bothersome isnt it?

For someone my age the legs and stuff isnt too big of a problem but when you are as young as you and a lot of you others are I would really mind some of this stuff. I will have a tummy tuck probably only because of the problems with the rashes and all.

The other thing I would really like to have done is something to rid me of some of my facial wrinkles. May try a lazer treatment first and see if that helps rather than a face lift.

I just hate feeling so very good and feel young and then I look in the mirror……yuck

 

Well hopefully that if you have the kids reception at your place , which would be the cheapest, that none of his relatives even show up. They sound like they are a piece of work for sure.

Is he still working and liking his job?Maybe you all scared him into staying with that job.

 

Im sure glad that you use a good sun screen. You looked like you had a pretty good tan when I saw you at the meeting last month. You know we left and I told Joe , Oh my I forgot to say anything about Janets hair. I did notice that it was shorter but I didn’t notice a change in color. Had you changed it back to normal when I saw you? Has it quit coming out now ?

  

MICHELLE: Good morning, and yes the day was brighter yesterday wasn’t it. It was really pretty. I get that way too if it is cloudy and gloomy I want to sleep too.

 

I know you will do just fine on the eating program after the surgery. You are no different than most people  about the apprehension. We all wondered will I be able to do this. But the resolve is firmly in place after surgery. You really aren’t hungry, it really does fill you up with just a couple of bites, and it really will make you sick if you eat the wrong foods or too fast or too much or too big of a bite. At least for awhile , it is up to you during that time to retrain yourself to eat right., slower, smaller, and chew chew chew.

You will be successful if you follow the rules and realize that this is a life long commitment not a diet.

Oh one good thing is that you wont get as hot after surgery as you did before or once you start losing weight you wont anyway.

So you will save on the elect bill in the summer but you will make up for it in the winter cause you get cold pretty easy lol

 

Well I went to bed about 9:30 last night and woke up about 1am so here I am typing this up to put on line.

Brenda sure am glad that Dennis is home now and they have the blood pressure under control. Has he ever heard more from his insurance company about having the weight loss surgery? I know he was trying to have it done.

Glad hubby got the job he was wanting.

Now everyone continue to pray for great grandson in law to find a good job that will support his family .

Good Morning Everyone:       Yes, It's me and way to early for this ol body to be up. But my sister is in town and she has a list a mile long of errands were going to run. Plus I have to go over to Joplin today to Health Essentuals to put up my packing gauze since noone sold it in stores. That way Terry can pack my incesion and I dont have to make 20 trip to Joplin a week. Plus it will get done everyone day and hopefully not be leaking out al over the place.      Yesterday was running, running, running. When my head hit the pillow someone could of came in and took me away and I wouldnt of cared!!! I was so tired and sore. My sister is leaveing sometime today. So tonight is ging to be a relaxing night. Sunday I am handing around the house washing clothes an getting ready for my trip.     I pray everyone has  a blessed day. And that you get the chance to get out and enjoy this day that the Lord has Made!!!!! God Bless Mel

Momma J & Gang.... Hidy Hoooo neighbors...we had some lightening and rain yesterday, wi**** would have been a LOT more rain.  My landscaper guy came and took out a BUNCH of old/overly mature shrubs a couple of days ago...it looks like a war zone.  He pulled the stumps to the side yard, and that area really looks bad. Said he'd need to bring his trailer to get the stuff...and left.  Leaving it all here for the 3rd day now....HOW embarrasing.  Janet,  Don't worry about any of that stuff I emailed you on.  I was not upset/mad at all.  Life happens.  I did want you to know that there are companies out there talking smack, tho...and I didn't mention the situation to ANYONE, not even my family.   I am not here to judge...hell, I am just trying to feel well each day!    I have been having a LOT of migraines, I think I need new glasses, and there just isn't enough in the budget right now.  I'd hoped to have made enough at my yard sale... And like a teenager, that money will be going to the speeding ticket I got...LOL I may be going out with a new guy tonight.  We haven't set a time yet.  He's from the other side of Memphis, so it will be quite a haul for him.... Hello Everyone, Today I'm enjoying my last Saturday off before returning to work on Monday. My hubby and I went to the movies last night and watched "Knocked Up". It was hillarious. We had a great time getting away for a bit and enjoying some time together. My daughter decided to spend the night with her grandma so we had the house to ourselves for the night..it was nice. My daughter is overweight too for her age and I've been trying to instill into her head the right choices to make for foods/snacks, etc. She is 12 and weighs more than I did in High school. I'm worried about her. So, I put her on a diet and have been helping her make good choices but not totally eliminating all the foods she loves. For instance if we all go out to eat, and she wants a sandwhich.. i won't let her eat french fries, I'll suggest to eat  side salad instead. Encouraging more fruits and vegetables and less starches and fats. Then I realized something different I could do. My mom is doing the Slim 4 life diet and has been successful so far, she doesn't work but babysits my sisters kids during the week. So I decided after talking with my mom, to have her watch my girl while I return to work. I talked to my daughter and she agreed to follow the diet with my mom, mom will cook her lunch for her and she can eat the same things as Mom. Mom lives in the same town I work in so it will be good, because I want to walk before going home after work. I can drop off at my moms, pick my girl up and we can go walk together before coming home. What a great plan huh? My daughter is excited about this. She also wants to lose some weight, yet enjoys eating. Slim 4 life is a good plan for that. OF course she won't be taking all the pills with the diet, but just eatting better will be good for her. I'm excited for her. I want her to start feeling better about herself, and start thinking about what she's putting in her mouth before she eats it. I want her to be more active. She enjoys sports but struggles with keeping up with the other kids. So.. that's that plan. Jan: I did get my hair done and yes covered up those unwanted Gray's. I am only 32, will be 33 in July but have had issues with gray hair roots since I was probably 25 or 26. My grandma was totally white headed at age 25. I got it cut, got my eyebrows done and felt better. I had a slight WOW moment while i was there. When I walked back to the shampoo bowl and sat down.. the chair felt bigger. Usually I have to cram my big rear in it and I feel a little "stuck" lol. Yesterday I sat down and it was comfortable and I thought to myself .. hmmm.. I think this chair was smaller before.. or My Rear Was bigger? I had  to take a double take. :) I'm glad you got a good deal on your protein powder. I went to GNC on Thursday to get some and couldn't make myself part with the 50 bucks for that gigantic tub. I asked if they had samples so I could make sure I liked it before purchasing such a huge amount. Of course they said no. So..  Iaskedif they had smaller containers.. NO> So I left empty handed. I'm going to see if our dietary department at work can order it cheaper somehow.. crossing my fingers. I know they order other kinds of protein powder but.. not sure if it's what I will need.  I live about 45 minutes away from Sedalia so yes I could come to the picnic. It's scheduled during the week on a Tuesday? I can try to switch My Monday off on the 18th to the 19th instead. I will ask when I go back to work on the 11th. Or just see if I can leave early on the 19th. What time does it start?? Tammy: I'm glad you're doing good and are now home. Welcome to the loser's bench girl. It's a great place to be. Brenda: Tell Dennis we are all happy he is doing better and has returned home.  I know that helps relieve your stress as well.  Charolette: I looked for you at the doctor's appointment Thursday but never saw you. :( Guess we will hope for another time. I was even late to getting there at 2pm, and didn't get called bac****il 230. Hope you and your sister are doing well. I saw your pictures on your profile where it shows your loss.. congratulations.. Wanted to get on and see how things were going and say howdy to you all....Feeling pretty good this morning for the most....I got back Wed the 13th and hopefully get my drain out....THEN I WILL BE HAPPY!! LOL  All this hasn't been too bad other than the drain....But at least that is livable......

Janet....I don't know what happened with your calls thrusday...I got other calls that day...I looked back in my phone and the last call it showed me having from you was thrusday morning when I talk to you after I found out I was getting to go home....What ever the mix up is I'm sorry!!! I'm always ready to hear from you no matter what's going on!!  Mel....Hope your doing good...It was wonderful to chat with you the other day....I hope things are going well for you....And go well with your up coming surgery!  Susan.....How ya doing sweetie??? Dear Jan and OH Peeps~ Well, Yesterday ended up being down right beautiful here. Got in the pool after the kids had lunch-Megan came over to excercise with us (steph and I) and then we went to Joplin to run errands and take the boys to see the Budweiser Clydesdales horses, walmart for some vitamins and staples, pick up Jons pictures Megan had taken last month, dropped Steph off at work, paid some bills and stopped to see a friend that I havent seen since before surgery...She just couldnt believe how different I looked-and isnt one to mince words-LOL-thats what I love about her-but it made me feel good!   I decided to start out a little lower on the laps and aerobics-so I cut it in half yesterday-only did 10 laps (from one end to the other is one lap for me) and then 15 minutes of aerobics-and my back did hurt when I got out yesterday, but when I woke up this morning, it didnt take 10 minutes to be able to move-LOL-so I am going to stick with that regimen for a few days and then just up it a bit every week. Still havent lost that other pound I gained last week-I actually gained 2-but than lost 1...I think I am going to just do my shakes for the next couple of days because I want desperately to be lower for my appt with the surgeon on the 12th-I know its me-but I want this-and am disappointed the weight loss hasnt gone good since I started those epidurals/spinals-its really made me a little more than disappointed in myself and the weight loss now- Jan-so good to hear Sugar is FINALLY feeling better and doing better-I really pray for her every day and I had been wondering. She sure looked good at the group last month~YAY...Good price on the protein too-LOL..what flavor was it? Oh-and she got the knot out of your neck-AND you got a start off of a bush-you had a great visit-LOL...Were you able to find any shoes? I know-I laughed to myself about Maggie being under that mattress with her wedding dress-it was kind of cute, I thought. Poor girl~She is desperately trying to lose weight cause her dress is too tight....She has lost 8# so far-and is doing our shake diet-for two meals and then one small, protein, healthy filled meal for what she does it-chicken and a salad or fish and spinach-Im very excited for her!! I hope she will stay on the healthy track even after the wedding.  When I started this whole thing-I was the heaviest in the family-and my future son in law was 350-and now I am 75# lighter than he is-YAY....Now-it WILL be something IF I could ever be lighter than Mike-who sticks to 165 or so-I saw him get up to 175 once, but-it went back off without dieting-LOL...He has always been slim-and when I met him, his waist was 28 and now is 33-34, but he looks good with the weight on, he was always below weight before and some docs even put him on a diet to gain weight. Yes, I know what you mean about the pool- I wish I would have known you 5 years ago-I would have given you my above ground pool when I sold my house and moved. It was the biggest above ground you could buy and it was nice-you could do laps in it and it was dug out on one end lower than the other-so it was deeper-it was 5 ft deep on the deep end-so it was nice-and prob as big as the one we have now-LOL...Loved that one too-I hated the ladder to get into it though, although more heavy duty than the plastic ones-it still made me nervous to climb in the pool and I always worried about not getting back out-and it was really a sight, Im sure!! Yes, Aaron is still at the same job-its been 3 weeks and he has gotten overtime each week-YAY...I really pray that he keeps this job and they make it work. Its so important for him to have the insurance or she cant get into the college. Plus-Mike knows ALL his bosses etc-and so he better not mess up-or I think I will have to disown him-cause that would be like her dad doing that to her all the time and proving that he cant keep his word to her-and that will make me mad! On my hair-no-I colored it when I saw you-it was a little lighter-but needs to be done again-I saw a mirror full of greys when I looked in the car mirror yesterday and I dont usually look at myself that close-LOL-so I was like-Holy Cow-it needs to be done again already? Dang-but I did see some new growth-which was nice-and yes-its still falling out like crazy-there just isnt as much as there was before- **Denise-my 16 yr old has some extra weight too-and had a LOT to lose when I started my pre-op changes in the house-and due to the changes I made around here-she lost 30# and went from a sz 22 (getting tight) to an 18-and since she is almost 6 ft tall-she is really looking good. Snacks are a big thing with kids and ecspically when they get bored-so I make sure to have healthy choices for them now-and I still let them have some things I consider junk, but nothing like before-it will get better-and Im sure her walking with you will help that-I will keep you both in my prayers-and I know first hand-that once we have the surgery, we sure dont ever want our kids to have to go through what we went through-I will pray that she conquers it now and everything will be okay-Congrats on the weight loss-Im so happy for you!! Oh-and on the protein-if you go to allstarhealth.com-they sell the ON Gold Standard 100% Instantized Whey-for the same prices as Food 4 Less-which is half the price of GNC or the health food stores-they just have a flat fee shipping price of 5.95-BUT-its STILL almost 1/2 the price of the health food store and only the shipping is different than food 4 Less-good luck-I hope that helps you some. **Sherr-Honey, I didnt think you told anybody-I just wanted you to know that I never gave your name or number out-and that was really humiliating to me. Let us know!! I hope your migraines go away-I started getting them because of the pool water-pressure and water in my ears-so I have been plugging my ears-and didnt get one yesterday-YAY. I hope you can get your glasses soon. Do you know if they have a day where you can get the exam and glasses for like $25-they have those around here a couple of times a year-and its not welfare-just a lot of people dont have eye insurance, so they host them in different places and keep it reasonable. I hope it gets fixed soon.

**Michelle- I sent you an email. Girl-you are SO NORMAL.. I hope you understand that we ALL go through those feelings. Please dont be so hard on yourself. You deserve this surgery as much as the rest of us-and I am glad for the chance to get to know you-hang on girl, it WILL get better...I promise.  **Brenda-so glad your hubby is home. Thank God. Hi Jan, I need to go to Food For Less also and get some protein powder.  I have had to have another dialation of the stoma. It was wednesday , june 6. It had closed up again to 12mm and I was getting sick again. He dialated it to 16mm this time. Hope that will do it.  GOOD NEWS is that yesterday morning I steped on the scales and I have lost 100 lbs!!!!!!!!  since I started the program at ST Johns. 35 before my surgery and 65 since my surgery dec. 27 2006. I have been diging up part of my back yard to put some more patio blocks down to expand  the back yard patio. that was a big job and I was thinking how I could not have done that 6 months ago.  I am getting ready for a family reunion in Branson and I will have lots of company next weekend, My Son and his family from VA will be here as well as three sisters and three brothers, the sisters will come early and we plan to shop shop shop!!!  I will be putting the last one on the plane the day of our support group mereting, so maybe I can make it to the meeting.  It is so wonderful to lose weight and I thank God every day for this chance at life, I am in a size 18 pants now and XL top,  happy  happy happy.  Glenda
