WHATS HAPPENING THURSDAY

Had to work tonight , I put some real soft pads in my shoes and that seemed to help a lot. My feet got tired because I worked 8 ½ hours but they weren’t hurting as bad as they did. I will probably have to work again on Sunday so between now and them I am going to go looking for me some really good shoes that they will approve of and that will be cushioned well.

Boy if anyone is needing some winter time p.j. for Christmas presents right now is a good time to buy the Bali ones I got several put on hold for Christmas presents. Don’t know who all I am going to give them too but I will just lay them out on my bed in x-large, large,med , and smalls. Lol and tell them to go pick their out. Lol

 

Tomorrow Joe and my grandson in law have to get his brakes fixed so their car will be safe again. When Joe took the tire off to replace it the other day he looked at the brakes on our grandson in law and granddaughters car and there were worn almost thru . Made him take our truck to work last night and to another job interview today.

 

Daughter still hasn’t sent me the pictures she took yesterday. I sure hope they are good. I would like to print one off to give to both granddaughter and my self one too.

  

SHERR: I don’t expect the test that I have to have Monday to be anything bad. I just hope they don’t keep me waiting for the result . I don’t have any problems dealing with anything if I know what the problem is. Just don’t like not knowing.

 

So what did the health clinic think the knot on your leg was? Was that what the blood work was for ? Sure glad that you went in.

 

Yes I remember Lucky D. How is she doing? I was wondering about her here while back and wondering why she quit posting.

I know I thought what an unselfish person she must be to do what she did for you. That was really something. A true Angel.

 

You really did well on selling your shoes huh? That is good that you have the stuff to get rid of.

  

VESTA: thank you so very much for repairing those cases for me. Keep track of the price you pay for the materials and what ever you want to charge for the repairs. I will be more than happy to pay for all of it. It is just that they were made by my grandmother and I wanted to preserve them. I am going to make some shadow boxes and put them in it. Don’t you think that will be neat?

 

LOL a pulled muscle in your boob? Never heard of that but I guess it could happen. Lol There isnt enough left of mine to stretch long enough to trip over them. I wore 48DD before and now wear 38B lol so isnt enough to trip over.

 

JANET:  sounds like you had a lot of stress yesterday again. You are going to have to turn off the phone and lock the doors and windows and tell everyone that your not there. Lol

Go sit in the pool and leave the phone in the house.

Yes I read about Melissa and her problems on the prayer request post. Bless her heart she is really having problems with surgeries isnt she?

 

Yeah looks like they should have told you that about the classes when you were asking in the first place about bankruptcy.

 

Tell your daughter that they have to have the reception at your home or they have to pay for it themselves

Lots of people have that. And it don’t have to be the same day as the wedding even and can be a separate event. The wedding place doesn’t have a reception hall ?

I thought the wedding was going to be small?

 

Sure glad that Tammy is doing better now. Did she have to have open surgery? Is that why she will have to stay longer?

 

I met a physical massage therapist today at work. And she said that losing the weight fast like we did takes away a lot of muscle so yes our backs hurt more than they did before. And she said water aerobics are one of the best ways to get that muscle back.

 

I can just see you with that heavy ball in the pool lol. DARE YOU To GET that again huh?

 

My great grand babies stare at me and smile really big when they are on my lap too. You know what I think it is????the wrinkles and stuff. They know that no one else looks like that so they think it is funny. They sure are sweeties.

  

BEV: So glad that you now have the ball rolling with Dr. Hornbostels seminar. He is one super good surgeon. Or at least I think so . He is really busy now but I know That Dena and Margie will do their best to get you in as soon as possible.

 

I had medicare only and it paid most all of the bill . There was some left to pay Dr. H and some to the hospital. But everyone is really easy to work with if you need to set up payments. I now have the hospital paid off and working on Dr. H’s bill.

I think from the time I saw Dr. H. in the consult that it took about 2 weeks for Medicare to approve and then it was 3 months till my surgery.

 

SHEILA: Look at the above answer to Bev as part of your answer. Ok?

I do know that the doctor is really busy now days. More so than when I had my surgery in August of last year. Good luck and hope things go fast.

Keep busy and keep your eye on the prize , Now is the time to start learning how and what all you can eat afterwards. Start ordering or buying samples of protein drinks.

Learning new recipes for later down the road. Start walking as much as you possible can.

Good luck  Oh I don’t think Dr. Hs office takes medicaide, they do medicare  tho I know.

Good Morning Jan and OH Peeps~ Well-last night was a really fun "chat room", very interesting, to say the least-and met 2 of our lurkers-and LOVE THEM-Becky M and Michelle-I really hope they will post more and let us get to know them-they were so much fun!! We were in there until 11 pm, if you can believe it!!  Susan did get in there-and we had a couple come in, but didnt stay-but thats okay-it was nice to see people popping in anyway!! Jan-My feet hurt just reading your post! I hope that you can find something that works for you. Have you ever tried Doc Martens or Skechers? I know my daughter got some Doc Marten loafers-and they are so comfy-I know they are a little higher in price-but they last forever-and I truly love them as much as my Red Wing Shoes I used to have, Im not sure about now-but in the past-they also had a lifetime warranty on them-where IF anything started to come apart etc-all you had to do is send them back and they replaced it for free. Maybe check into that? Im so glad your grand-daughter and her hubby have you and Joe-to keep them and their children safe-I hope you both know how special you are-and how much good you are doing for that young family. I pray for them a lot, Jan, that they will be able to get on their feet, have the necessities in life and that your grand-daughter doesnt get overwhelmed....I know its hard to be a stay at home mom and not have any friends. I hope she will be able to make some soon....Do they have a parent as teachers chapter where you live? If she applies for WIC (womens, infants and children-for kids under 5) they do groups and such with the moms and kids AND can sign her up for Parents as Teachers-which would even come to her-they also do play dates and such....maybe they would have one she could attend if her hubby isnt working that day?  I hope so. Mel is having problems-and she has postponed the tummy tuck-she is having to get that incision packed every day/couple of days-and I just feel so dang bad for her! It makes me wince when I see it. I was pretty worried about the surgery the end of this month-so I am glad its been postponed for a bit...puts my mind at ease-cause I sure wanted to be there for her AND for Terrry-but knew there was no way I could do that the end of this month...which, I would have just taken more pain meds to make the trip, but we knew it would be 3 days in the hospital and etc and didnt know what I would do for a sitter and all that jazz.....so-I feel better about her decision and just want her to heal up so she can come out and play-LOL...Miss her. We havent had much time together really since the move and all-it really seems like its been one medical issue after another, for the 4 of us, between my back, Terrys surgery, Mels visits and surgery and now Mike-GEEZ-I have been saying out loud-Devil-get the hell out of here, in the name of Jesus, I rebuke you!!! And Personally-I think she is beautiful just the way she is-but understand TOTALLY wanting the tummy tuck-told her that maybe we can do them together and share a room at the hospital-OMG-wouldnt that be somethin? Yah-on the bankruptcy, because we had contacted (CCC-consumer credit counseling) to help us at first-he thought we already had that certificate-I understood the mistake-he is a really nice guy-Im just stressed about $$ right now-and I know it will all work out-but I sure dont like hand outs because I have always worked for everything I have-and since I cant work now, I feel ashamed of myself, disappointed-I guess-that "I" put my family in this perdicament, and we worked so hard to get our credit good etc-and its all gone now.  I got my car in April 2005 and got a message from Sherr last night that MY CAR CO-called HER-looking for me-I didnt even know Sherr when I got my car and have never put her down on a reference for anything (didnt meet her until July 2006 at seminar)....I am calling my attny this morning and asking him what we can do about that-they had to have gotten ahold of one of my cell phone bills etc-because they have called our neighbors too-which werent listed anywhere on the application. I dont understand it either-cause I havent talked to Sherr on the phone for 2 months or more-thats pretty embaressing, and I feel so bad-cause I sure dont know HOW they got that info- We cant wait for them to call Mel-thats for sure-they will have no clue what hit them-and we are gonna mess with them big time-so I hope that happens soon!!! ****Sherr...IF you read this-I want to apologize again....Im so sorry and very embaressed, cause I sure dont want you to think I gave your number out to anyone-I never did-I promise you that!! I hope they dont call you again and please let me know if they do-and feel free to tell them to F off-I havent changed my number OR moved-so they can get ahold of me-have told them to come out and get the car-but so far, no one has showed up-they keep wanting to put us in another program-to keep the car-but we arent keeping it-and they wont lower the interest-just want to expand the pmt plan-but...the attny said its best just to start over-and I agree-but, at any rate,  Im sorry. Jan, on the wedding-it is very small-I think 15 people total. The  reception will be a month later-and we have thought about doing it out here-I just cant stand HIS family-and dont want them in my house-cause some of the relatives are theives and have records as long as my arm-and that wont go over too well-Megan has said more than once she didnt want them out here because if something wasnt tied down, a couple of them (married to Aarons sisters) would try to steal it.  I called yesterday to get prices on a porta potty-because I wouldnt want them all coming through the house-so we have a lot to think about...If I was sure his family wouldnt show-I would do it here in a heartbeat. I think Tammy had lap-I guess I assumed that and didnt ask. I will ask her today when I talk to her. Susan said she was cussing me yesterday over the blue chips-and told her not to let that scare her-because they didnt taste too good BUT, they werent too bad either-I was so thirsty-I didnt care how the liquid got in my mouth-LOL.... Susan said she was looking good and in good spirits-and she sounds like it on the phone...so I am very happy-I am just praying for a quick recovery. On the back muscles-I was told that too-and I was told thats why its so important to do some form of excercise specifically to try and help build them up before surgery-I have started the water aerobics and my laps again. Yesterday was the 2nd day, I did my 20 laps and 1/2 hr of aerobics-and had a problem moving again this morning. Mike said maybe Im not ready to go full force just yet-but I am gonna give it a couple more days and see if it doesnt get better. Yesterday Mel came and got the boys-Darrel to go over and mow her lawn and Jon-because HE didnt want Darrel going with HIS AUNT MEL-he wasnt having ANY part of that! So, he hung out with Mel and ran errands while Darrel mowed-they have so much fun when they are with them-I got in the pool with Steph and then Megan came over to swim and excercise too-all 3 of us got burned-and "I" even had sunscreen on-so I am the least burned of the 3, but its still uncomfortable. Slept without a bra on last night-and felt like calling Vesta-to give her a good laugh-----tripping over them-LOL....I cant believe your "girls" got that small, Jan....LOL-I guess there is hope that they will go to a B cup then? I didnt think they would ever be that small-heck, I dont think they ever were-I think I was born with a B cup-LOL LOL ***Becky M, Debbie D, and Brenda-We will be praying for your hubbys-Im so sorry you are all going through this-but there is power in prayer and we will pray for the situations. We had fun talking to you last night and glad you came in to talk! **Tami-are you still blonde? Went to ask you last night and you were gone....I hope you dont think anyone was ignoring you. I know sometimes its hard to keep up with a conversation because there were so many going on....SO-are you blonde still? LOL-Cant wait to see you at the group. **Michelle and Erin-it was so good to talk to you. I think it was a bunch of comedians in there last night-and my hubby could hear me from the computer (he was in the livingroom) laughing out loud. He said a couple of times that we were all crazy-LOL. Told him we already knew that-LOL... **Susan-I hope you enjoy some more PAP CYCLES today-LOL- WE had a couple of typos between Susan and Erin-that just cracked us up-and loved talking to you-hang in there on the liquid diet girls-and it will get easier....remember-we are here for you should you need some encouragement or just to talk-ok? I cant believe it-and you know what I am talking about-and I just cant ever put into words how much you mean to me. HI Jan and everyone. We had to take my brother to the hospital. Macon Co sent him home but then he got worse we took him to Kirksville and he has bad pneumonia...They did that to me a couple of times too...Please put him on the prayers list. God Bless Craig Lee

Hello everyone Just stopping in to say howdy and to let you all know I go for my first post op appointment today. I can't wait to see what results have shown so far. I don't feel any different so It's kinda weird to think I might have lost weight.. but I had to have right? lol  I've only had clear liquids since Saturday. So .. I will post later on my results. I'm also hoping to meet Charolette and her sister while I'm there they said their appointmetns are like 30 minutes after mine. Anyway.. Jan I'm glad you found something to help you're poor feet. Hope they feel better for you for your next day of work. Rest them some. I always buy Christmas presents early too.. Then I put them up.. and low and behold.. I forget where I stick them lol. I generally find them back months later and just give them to them, or save em for a birthday present. It's usually interesting finding things in my house. You never know what will show up. lol Tammy.. hope you're feeling better and not in much pain. Those deep breathing exercises really help. Wishing you a speedy recovery.  See you all Lighter Denise

Hello Missouri, First I want to thank Jan and Janet for the wonderful posts.  You guys are so good about including everyone by name.  That is not one of my talents but I do love and pray for all of you.   Yesterday was another whirlwind here at work.  I am leaving on vacation starting on the 15th and won't be bac****il the 25th so I am sort of living for those days off to get rested up.  I love my job but there are times during the year when it is hectic. My DD was having car trouble which concerned me because she and DGS are alone 7 miles out in the country but she got it fixed last night and it was just a filter so didn't cost her too much, Praise the Good Lord!!!  She's been wanting to get to town to get some paint to paint the paneling in her kitchen.  It is just wainscoating, only about 3 feet up then wallpapered above and she likes the wallpaper.  The paneling just made the room too dark.  Her huge living room and master bedroom are also paneled so I think once she gets started she'll get on a roll and get it all done. I think all the back troubles among WLS patients are really truly part of the process.  I know I have pains in different places than I did before surgery - seems as if it is higher in my back now.  My dear boss just ordered me a new chair - hoping that will help me some. My "girls" are sort of like Vesta's.  However, I went and got measured and still need a 38 DD although to me the bra cups aren't quite filled out or at least they aren't overflowing like they used to be.  I don't feel as big as a 38DD sounds.  It's weird!!!   Hope all of you have great days.  I would love to have a pool - still a little reluctant to go to the pool in our development.  Most who go are young and not saggy/baggy!!!  But, on vacation next week I plan to at least hot tub it!!!  WOO HOO!!! For those with pre-surgery jitters - try to be calm.  It is scarey but you'll be so glad you did it after you get past those first 2-3 weeks.  I never had a moment of regret but know many folks have a few doubting moments.  I"m too goofy to doubt a decision once I make it!!! To those just starting on the journey - just keep pushing and stay the course.  It isn't always fast or easy but it is worth the wait and trials.  You are working toward a healthier life - don't forget that and start living healthier while you're still in the process of getting approved.   Hugs and love to all of you, no matter where you are in your journey. Good Morning Everyone:       Looks like were in for some storms today. I went to let my baby out to go potty. And the wind was blown like crazy and the clouds are rollin in. We only got a small percent chance of rain. It is just when it is going to hit that I am wondering.       Not doing to much today. My F-I-L is wanting Biscuts & Gravey when he gets up. We were pretty much up and down with him off and on all night long. He was talking really weird again last night. But we rolled with it and just talked to him.     I need to get some laundry done. And staighten up the house. I got a call from my sister and she has to take her new car back to Springfield to have it looked at. Then she is thinking about coming this way for the weekend. Dont know if I am excited about that or not. Dont get me wrong I love her to death. Bt she tends to be bossy. So we will see how it goes.    Last night we had such a blast in the chatroom. We were all loling so much. I know our spouces thought we were all crazy. It was so good to get in there and talk and get to know more people off the board. I wish more people could make it to the chatroom on Wed night.    Well my phone is ringing so it is time for me to get off of here. I pray everyone has a great day today. God Bless Mel

Hey OH and Jan Hows everyone today??  I am so glad I went to the chatroom lastnight. We all had such a good time and the muscles in my belly kinda ache today.  My DBF thought we were all crazy!!!  It is great medicine to get get a few belly laughters out once in a while.  Jan,   I am glad your feet are feeling a little better and good luck on your test Monday I hope everything comes out okay. I am sure it will. I hope to see you in chat sometime we all had fun adding you to the comedy show would have been great. I hope to see more as time goes by. It's great getting to know one another. Janet, and Mel it was great talking to you both lastnight. I hope you are feeling better soon. be careful with your belly button. I think Janet wants that sewed up.
