Polish me off a Seat on the bench..Here I come!!

Had everything done yesterday in Columbia! Whew, glad thats all over with.  I pre registered and signed all the release papers with Dr. Scott.  Even got to visit Tammy-ammy twice yesterday.  She really looked good!  The only reason they are keeping her longer is because really she had the surgery so late in the evening I guess they considered it the next day.  Does that make sense.  I think that was why she was behind in all her tests.  Also the reason she had to stay so long in ICU was because they were waiting most of the day for a bed.  I think that is all the reasons.  She wasn't happy with Wings for not telling her about the blue stuff, lol!  She says she was gonna kick her butt when she seen her,lol.  I am getting pretty excited about the surgery date on the 18th. It is supposed to be at 3:00!  We are going up on the 17th.  Hope to have my wireless repaired so Randi can keep you all updated!  I hate computer's!!!!! But I love all you guys, Take care and say a prayer for me and my liquid diet! Love Susan

Hey dogetta, Your seat has been polished for so long now-its probably slick-like when you use armour all on leather seats in your car and slide off when someone hits the brakes-LOL-we will make sure you dont slide off-LOL...

Told Tammy WHEN she was able to-she is more than welcome to kick my butt-LOL...I will be waiting!!  Theres just some things you dont tell-*wink wink* and the blue chips really werent that bad-I was so thirsty-the thought of sucking sweat out of a sock had occured to me-LOL-not really-but you just get passed the taste of the blue stuff to get to the ice cube!! I never TRIED to suck down ice so fast in all my life-LOL...it will be okay sis-you only have 11 days and you will be on this bench with us. You know I love ya, and IF you need ANYTHING-I am here for you!!~Dont hesitate to call me....in a couple of years we will hit IHOP and laugh about our conversations last night in the chat room-oh, and by the way-have you had any PAP CYCLES today? Yeah the blue ice chips were YUCK! I actually asked for a wash cloth after the leak test in x-ray *had to drink the 3 small cups of yuck tasting stuff* then got back to the room & had the blue ice chips. So, I used a wash cloth to get that taste out of my mouth. It was SO nasty. I would take the pain any day over the taste of that stuff..hope I am not scaring anyone..LOL I have to say I got real nervous when it got closer and I came out ok...even after the anethesiologist scared me almost to death by saying I will not be breathing on my own and there was a chance I may not breathe again on my own. You will make it. :) Also if I have any advice...the PCA (morphine drip) DO NOT push that right before you want to get up to walk (that made me light headed and felt nauseated). They finally decided it was doing me no good and got rid of it and gave me Tylenol with Codeine and I was fine eversince. Knock on wood, I have not had any vomiting. IHOP sounds good in a couple years. Although I think I am scared to deviate at all from this. At my doctor appointment Monday, a lady (patient) was in there telling us about a guy she knew that had the RNY and ate a whole pizza by himself and wound up stretching his pouch and died. It's weird to think that would happen, since the point is to minimize your hunger. She said the "hunger" in his head got to him. Anyway, sad ...well if I can add anything else. Let me know. Cheryl
