Hello everyone...

Boy, talk about a hectic weekend! Travis and I took all of our children to Branson this weekend. We went to the Titanic museum (as me and my 8 year old are Titanic Fantics). It was very humbling. I enjoyed myself but left there with a stomach ache. To think what those people had to endure. It must have been awful. On a brighter note, we took the kids to go see Shrek 3 for Ryan's 8th b-day. That was a funny movie. We also went to the WWII museum. That was also a neat place. We stayed there Friday and Saturday night and came back to reality on Sunday. I am still trying to recover from this little trip. So much laundry and housecleaning to do, not to mention all the homework I need to catch up on. I was in shock this weekend, though. This is the first actual vacation we took since my surgery, and I wore heels the whole time!!! They are a really cute pair of brown sandals that have about a 1 or so inch block heel on them. I was fine. I was able to walk all over Branson without getting tired. It's amazing how much 100 pounds will set you back. I even took my protein shakes with me and had those for breakfast while the rest of the family ate. I did not mind at all. I have FINALLY found my perfect shake. Took me long enough, but I did it. Anyway, I hope everyone's week is starting out to be a good one. I know mine will be hectic in order to get caught back up in school, but I can manage. I am (what my husband calls) Super-Mom. After all, having a set of 4 year old twins and an 8 year old, I need to be Super-Mom!!!

Kat, You are Super-Mom for sure.  Glad you had a good time.  We went to Silver Dollar City on Friday so we might have passed you on the road.  Do share your shake with all of us.  We always want new ideas.   Hugs, Lana

"WLS is about making better choices, a healthier lifestyle and seeing how little you can eat.  Portion control is the key to all weight loss surgeries.  Bottom line - it isn't how much you can eat - it is how little you can eat."
