Hey guys, My surgery is Wednesday. I am gettin so nervous. I don't want to be freaked out because I don't want my heart not to be strong enough for the procedure. So, I have a question--for those that have had surgery already....ok so is it true you are buck naked on the OR table? Does anyone have like a timeline of what happened right before they were rolled into the OR? Any advice is welcomed. Thanks!

You will be fine, I had a gown that opened in the front when I left my room and still had it on when I got out...I was just chatting with the nurse going to the room to get prepared all at once I woke up and it was over, I could not believe it..they put me on what they called a floating bed before I left my room that part was a breeze for me.. I will be praying for you  so just try to relax it will soon be over.....Vesta

Being in the medical field I will tell you they wont have you laying there butt naked. They will only have uncovered what they need to have uncovered. There will be a gown or sheet over you.  They will start your IV and probably give you meds to calm your nurves. I know my hospital has you do all the paper work days in advanced so when you get to the hospital on surgery day you just go to a room and start you IV and where I am going they are giving me something first off to calm the nervous.
