What else is going to happen?

o.k you guys,  I don't know if you remember in my earlier posts that I had a disease in my hip called legg perthes disease( the blood supply to the hip gets cut off and the bone dies).  I  had to wear braces on my legs  for almost 4 years and I have arthritis pretty bad because of it.  any way.. my 3 year old daughter fell over the weekend and hurt her knee and it still had some swelling yesterday so I called the doctor to make an appointment and they got her in this morning.  Well she watched her walk, felt around on it and then said that she wanted and x-ray of it and her hips.  Little did I know what was about to happen, my worst nightmare came true.  My little girl has the same disease!!! I knew it when I saw the xray,  before the dr. even said anything.  I saw enough of mine to know what it was.  I immediately started to cry.  She said that I needed to limit her activity( on a 3 year old?!) and to give her motrin to help the pain.  Chloe has an appointment on Monday at Childrens Mercy with the ortho. dept. to see how bad it is and what the plan of care is.   Please keep her and us in your prayers and hopefully it will not turn out as bad as I fear.   Thank You,   Layla

Layla,  Just wanted to let you konw you'll be in our prayers and I know how heart breaking it is when our children suffer and because YOU know what she's going to experience, I'm sure it is rough! thank you both so much for the kind words and prayers.  I really appreciate it. I know that I have to stay strong for her and not let myself get so upset.  I also know that it could be so much worse, at least what she has isn't life threatening.  Hugs,  Layla

I am so sorry to hear about your little girl and the news that you received.  I wanted you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughters health issues.  I pray that you have caught this soon and that therapy will provide your daughter a good quality life.   God bless you both.
