Looks like it's a go...

Went to Dr. Hornbostel's seminar tonight in Sedalia, liked what I heard and will start on the paperwork tomorrow. Alot to consider and mull over...oh me, oh my...sound like Eeyore!! Marilyn was suppose to be there tonight, hope she made it! It was crowded and the seminar started a half hour early or more. We got there 30 minutes early, glad we left earlier then we planned. Alot of people came in, in the middle of it...was not happy that they did that (starting early). Alot of people missed out on a lot of important stuff! They said Dr. Hornbostel's office is booked through September, don't know when I will get in. Patience is a virture? Love & Prayers, Deb

Heya Debbie, I was there also at the seminar, wish I'd a known which one was you, I'd a said howdy!! Just to let ya know, I got the information on the site all filled out first thing this morning and faxed in my insurance cards and was able to get a consult date this afternoon. It's for August 9th so if ya hurry and get ya stuff in I'm sure you'll get one there abouts also. Good Luck!!! Andrew

Hi Andrew....glad to meet you and sorry I didn't get to see you at the seminar. I don't know where you were sitting but I was about half way back on the left side of the classroom facing front, and my hubby (Dave) was right next to me. Also, I was the one during Q&A that said I had missed signing in and that Dena was gone, what did I need to do...Dr H just said to call her, I asked if she would believe me...he laughed and said their weren't the gestopo. Which surgery are you going to try for? I want the lap band! Boy, your on the ball. I haven't filled out the paperwork online yet. I have a sinus headache today...ugh! Hopefully will be able to later! Did you see any fireworks on your way home the 4th? We did, great show! Well, I need to go lay down for awhile...hope to talk again...soon! Deb

Hi Debbie, Im going for the Bypass surgery, I really dont feel the lap band would work for me for one reason Im so big, right now Im almost 500 lbs. Yes I did get my paperwork filled out quick, I did that hoping I'd get a quick date to see Dr. H and it worked. Understand tho I've researched and thought about this surgery for over 2 years, I was even in the process earlier this year with Dr. Scott in Columbia until Medicare changed things so I already knew exactly what I wanted. Yes we saw some really cool fireworks on the way home. I got lucky because it rained real hard down home in Pilot Knob and the fireworks were cancelled so we were able to see them the next night. Hey Debbie, I was there....second row, left side. We left during Q&A. My DH & my niece were with me. Butt was getting tired! I am glad I went though. He is very informative. There were a lot of people there though. I wonder if they have that many every month? Keep in touch, Marilyn
