My surgeon told me a few years ago that this surgery will pay for itself in 3 yrs. with the reduced medical attention I need after losing weight. The amount of doctor visits, prescriptions, lost time at work, etc. can be measured with people who are post op and healthier. Let your co worked know you'll be costing him less in the next couple years- can he say the same?
