Take deep breaths, and remember why you're taking this huge step to improve your overall health! I didn't feel any anxiety until the night before, although sure understand it easily happens. Ironically, the extra weight can feel like a 'security blanket', although with psychological therapy with a WLS specialist, learned to put it all into perspective and just move forward. Keeping prayers going for you, that you'll be calm, relax, and see the 'big picture' of health! I'm two years out this Friday, and it's just unbelievable how the time will fly and the first three months will become a distant memory! Best wishes and best of calming yourself! Are you journaling? That's a super help, and interesting to go back to down the road. You'll be fine! SO so many people have come through this with flying colors! Just follow your program to a 't' and don't hesitate contacting your WLS surgeon/clinic for any concerns or questions, and definitely post here on the most amazing board of support! Hugs galore, Patti
Never let your memories be greater than your dreams.
