coffee
Hello- I would love to attend one of the coffee sessions on a weekend. I live in Winona so I'd like something EASY to find- I see the surgeon for the first time on Wednesday and I am hoping he gives me the ok- then of course it's the wait and see from the insurance company. Also, do any hubbies attend the "clutch"? Or would there be a place for him to sit and eat???
Thanks Jan
Thanks Jan
Thank you Connie- I just assumed there was a meeting every Saturday. Tomorrow's the big day for me. Talk to my surgeon- whom I have never met before. I am afraid my age of 59 will be against me. Right this moment, I am 50/50 on having the surgery. I want to feel so much better, look so much better, but CAN I give up my life line- food???? Will my hubby really be happy with me not eating with him, etc. Did you ever have these questions?

Jan....your age is not against you. I had my surgery almost a year ago and I was 58!!!
I eat just about anything. I, by choice do not eat rice, pasta or bread. Many others do with no problem. I just prefer more protein and veggies. It takes a little while but you get those foods back that you miss out of for a time. You just can't eat as much.
I have never been sick or had any problems since I had this surgery.
I feel so much better. I can run up and down stairs. I can walk for miles and dance the night away. I ride bike with my grandchildren, go down slides, and play on the jungle gyms. There isn't anything I can't do.
If I didn't have this surgery I was headed for a wheelchair in a few months. I was in alot of pain. I am almost pain free. My high blood pressure is gone as is my acid reflux and Diabetes.
Would I do this again...you bet I would in a heartbeat!!
Do you go on the Over Fifty Forum??? I really enjoy it there too.The people are great. These two boards are the only ones I do now.
PM me anytime if you would like.
I wish you the very best making the right decision for you.

You do NOT look your age Connie- Where is the over 50 board? I am not to sure on this board, as you can see I have no picture, nothing. When it comes to signing up on stuff like this, I don't really know how. Guess I will have to investigate. Thanks again for your encouragement. Right now, I need it.
