7/19Today I will...
Okay, I have to make this quick today as we are getting ready to head out to cut/haul some wood. Today I will....drink at least 100 ounces of fluid, make good food choices, spend some time with my grandma, and help my parents with hauling wood. Yesterday I....drink 100-120 ounces of water/CL--yup I got in about 110 oz, make good food choices--yep, I avoided some high carb foods I was craving, focus on work so I can get somewhat close to catching up--did better the 2nd half of the day, watch the snacking and carb monster--did great with this, get to bed at a decent time--fell asleep on the couch, and enjoy time with Mom & Dad--yep, having a good weekend so far.
The reunion was actually ok. I still felt like a duck out of water but as the night went on, the gals relaxed... the guys were still cold but oh well... we all have a history that is best buried. There were a few that I sure wish had shown up... but we are talking about having a 50th birthday camp out as a class :) I think that would be a riot!! camping, fishing and sunbathing!! I need to be in perfect form in 2 years!! lol Other than that the weekend is going good - airshow today, belly dancing tonight... coffee tomorrow and whatever else presents itself! I call that good and I actually SLEPT last night! I feel a million percent better :)

Lori~I am so happy to hear that things went well last night! I bet you were turning some heads even if they didn't want to admit it! It seems the relationships from high school never really change, but perhaps those who need to change the most never do. Sounds like you have a busy weekend and I am so glad you got a good nights sleep last night I was getting worried about you. Have fun at the belly dancing tonight and I am still undecided about coffee tomorrow I will give you a call though if I decide to head up there in the morning. Love & Hugs! Nicole
I have to laugh... I turned heads alright... lol All my metal and tattoos walking around what used to be a Catholic school lol
I did notice a few of the older guys though... it was nice :) I'm a bit sick of the young ones anyways :)
I hope you make it up. I dug out my belly dancing patterns so we can look at those and I can always dig out plain Ren Patterns too or we can trade ideas through links :) I'm really excited about Faire :)

Hi! Just wanted to stop in and see how everyone was doing. I've been pretty much goal-less...maintaing 60-80oz. water, taking meds/vitamins as prescribed, getting work done. My big goal for next week will be to get back into an exercise ROUTINE (not just wandering around). I can't just rest on my increased mobility to count as exercise for much longer. I'm also letting the carb monster attack my eating...choosing nuts and nut based snack mix instead of meat. The meat has much better protein and I need that. I'm going to hate to see how much I have to battle all of this in a few months when my pouch isn't so restricted.
Let's see... for me it's up your protein intake... kill those carbs and drown yourself in water :) If you are peeing, you aren't eating :) Also any exercise you can handle... housework... extra walking (park further away than normal is a good one!) etc.
Good luck and looking forard to seeing you on the losers bench!!

I agree with Lori, up the protien and stay away from the carbs. I have found that when I do this I don't crave the carbs. Also try switching up the type ofexercise you are doing our bodies can get used to a certain type of exercise and then you don't burn as many calories. Even if it is just doing things in a different order or taking a different route when you go walking little things like that can make a big difference. I have also found that chewing gum helps me to stay away from eating and can help satisfy the sweet craving. If you are having a hard time getting in water try adding Crystal Light or a lemon wedge to it. I was also told that the best thing for your body water wise is to drink half your body weight in ouces. So I am drinking about 100 ounces a day, while that is more than half my body weight in ouces it is what makes me feel good so I have maintained it. I hope that some of this helps and I pray that you will make your goal and be able to have your surgery. ~Nicole
